I agree.. He was just a boy... it was like he was telling him mum he just got someone pregnant and not talking to the mother of his child... Poor Heather... I would prefer it was Phil's now!

maybe there'll be a shock twist and it'll turn out he isn't the dad afterall, or is that just wishful thinking?
I am quite sure that Heather knows for sure who her baby's father is, she has not had much romance, has she? So I think it is wishful thinking on your part. :)
Another ****-up (pardon the pun) by the writers of EE. Although I love making Jokes about baby Pickle as baby George will be known as on SB. This story had potential. If Phil was the father it would have pulled at the heartstrings of Heather and Shirley's friendship. And the realisation and horror of Pickle being a Mitchell. We can remember Peggy's bigotry against Mark when he had HIV, can you imagine her horror if Phil was identified as the true Father of George. Making Darren the father has been a huge mistake as the writers have no back-up plan. The character will be gone from our screens before the clocks go forward in 2010. And Heather will be left alone as a fat, gormless single parent.
Chloe are u saying that Darren is leaving the show ??? I agree the EE writers again have totally messed up the storyline big time.
I don't think she means that Darren is leaving the show, but that he will abandon her and little George.
Sorry Jodi I'm saying that I think Darren will be gone from the square within the next six months. To me Charile Hawkins who plays Darren has a short shelve life like Spencer Moon, Leo, Joe Wicks as well as others. He's in the show to boost young viewers and they will get bored with him, then some other young buy will be bought into the show. Darren has no family in the square apart from his ties with Heather. Libby and her family are all wooden when it comes to acting so I will be surprised if they are still in the show this time next year. If this happens there will be no point in Darren being in the square and he is doomed to disapear like many cast members who have left Eastenders.
Do you really think so? I like the way they have made him work hard and never give up with any enterprise despite his young age because he certainly has not got this from his father.
I'm surprised with how long Darren's been in the show actually, I expected him to have got the boot long before now. I take it the wedding will be off when Libby finds out and that's one less reason for him to stick around, so I see where Kath's coming from.
