Common sense is very rare in the Canning DNA it seems, the smart (hahaha) thing for Xanthe to do would be use the money to buy a home for herself and resit her exams next year, use that time to get more work experience and mature a bit.

Terese has had a relationship with Gary an employee and is now dating another (now ex-) employee Leo, I am not getting the big deal, Paul had that fake relationship with the Lassiter's beauty salon girl too.

I think its because Chloe runs a pay for a date service, the lines where crossed when she slept with Pierce and he kinda paid for that with 25k of Jewry which she sold and gave away. He subsequently gave her a ring which she also gave away to toadies niece to stop her pushing to be in her game to pay for schoolies.She couldnt sell it so resorted to selling it to Paul who got her to tell her where she got from so he now has leverage. Pierce is in love with Chloe but she dosent do relationships, but if she bins him he says he will walk away from the hotel buy out which keeps Paul in the game hence Theresa sp? was pushing Chloe to keep him sweet.
But she told Pierce she has hunting tons so she fled and is now hiding from everyone and wants to leave the country.
The crux is Paul cant be forced out if there is no buyer, especially as this buyer was the one undermining Pauls finances to make him have to sell.
