Why would Shona close the door of the factory room behind her to be in total darkness again when she was looking for Max?
Well it was dark, so if Max was in a position to leave, he would open the door and let light in, therefore Shona would know where he was.
I would love to know how Flora manages to FaceTime (an Apple service) on a (Microsoft) Windows laptop!
What happened to Skype? Could they have refused product placement, or just bad writing?
So the nurse tells Daniel that Flora had a birthday 2 weeks ago and that Harvey would not be calling .. yet once Phelan is there, Harvey calls his mum to wish her a happy birthday...
It's just as well for Todd and Adam that they are being investigated by the hopeless Corrie Keystone Cops. Would not the first thing they should do be to go round all the other shops, businesses (and two churches) in the area to find out if Todd really did drop his card off everywhere?
And as for this Phelan rubbish, I have just one thing to say, Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr rrrrrrrrrrggggggggggggggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh hhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I cannot work out why Phelan is keeping Andy hostage for months now ... and now wants a replacement??? I miss some episodes or parts of them so might have missed an explanation .. can anyone here advise please? :)
Andy first came up with the replacement idea as a way that he could be released from the cellar, having failed the test and found himself re-captured when Phelan was going to release him. Phelan initially refused the idea, but seems to have changed his mind since Daniel began sniffing about. Other than that, I'm as lost as you.
I suppose about the Phelan being involved in the scam, him letting Michael die without a care in the world and attempting to murder him too with the laptop and Phelan telling the cops of Andy attempting to kill him and burning down the Kevin's garage ... still does not explain the hostage bit ... replacement hostage maybe so Andy would not go to the police as Phelan might kill the replacement hostage?? I wonder whether we will ever find out as the scriptwriters don`t seem to know any more than we do
The idea was originally Andy's, who said he would get the replacement and change places with him. The reason being that he would then be guilty of kidnapping and imprisonment as well and therefore would not be able to "spill the beans" on Patrick as he too would be guilty of the same crime. It was to get over Phelan's objection to letting Andy go because he would go straight to the police.
Thank you for explaining that part. I suppose the reason that Phelan has kept Andy hidden all this time is because he could not get through will killing him? Easier to watch somebody die of a heart attack without attempting to help but actually murdering someone is, at least so far, not something Phelan is capable of ??? And why would Andy also be guilty of kidnapping and imprisonment if Phelan finds a replacement? Surely he can prove that he was not if he was to go to the police and tell them about it all???
wow Billy hitting Peter like that ....
The Billy punch was a bit of nonsense from dear old Kate Oates. Peter was in the Navy and even if we take into account Billy taking Peter off guard and attacking from behind, Peter would have gone back and beat the crap out of Billy and then gone back and done it again, but that would not serve the purpose of the storyline. If what I read is correct we have alot more nonsense coming up for Billy.
While I did cheer when Peter was being punched... shame on me .. its just he was kinda asking for it, like he always does, not that its right..Peter was in someone elses house twisting facts to defend the undefendable, who in essence is a child he has damaged himself by being such a selfish @@@"""
Sinade .. oh boy where do you start with that kind of crazy ness.
I've noticed a few times now that the kids in the street all get on the bus to go to school, and yet quite often they seem to have plenty of time at midday to appear back at home for lunch or various other tasks.
Summer was a prime example last night,
It must be a time-travel bus, or going at the speed of light.

I did like the humour from Daniel:
Tracy to Sinhead: The idea of listening to you wittering on and on, I think I'd throw myself in the Irwell.
Daniel: What would be the point of that, witches float don't they?
Phelan is using Andy now as his confidant, defacto psychologist :p
no ones cares or no respect katy dead as long as beth can celebrate with free cheap champers
Sinead's proposal seemed so silly and hasty. Are Corrie waiting for her and Chesney to get married so she can have an affair with Daniel?
There was some bad acting and writing in Wednesday double bill even for CS. :thumbsdow
The only highlight was Sally winding Kirk up.
Seriously Chesney leaving hospital to fly off on his own with glass still inside him  I was expecting him to die outside in the car park
The writers have ruined the character Billy and the actor's acting is getting quite bad
Phelan is not a 'Good Guy' he stood by while Michael died and did nothing to help him. He is only still on The Street because Vinny was the 'Bad Guy' that run off with the money and he managed to persuade people that Vinny had conned him also. He thought he had killed Andy until he re-gained consciousness. I think he has only kept him alive because he does not know how to get rid of the body. He was going to release Andy, but pretended to crash the van while taking Andy to France and Andy ran off so when Phelan recaptured him, he decided he could not trust him, so put him back in the cellar. Andy has persuaded Phelan that if they find a replacement who sees Andy's face but not Phelan's then Phelan can let him go as he will not be able to go to the police without dropping himself in it. - Crazy I know but do not think logic should get in way of a good/stupid plot. Even though Andy is chained in cellar I do not understand why he does not hit Phelan over the head with a heavy object. I am quite sure he could pull the chain fixing from the wall if he worked on it.
If Chesney carped it on my flight to a holiday Id shove his dead carcass down the loo, save us being diverted and messed about because a dweeb was unable to take a doctors advice not to leave intensive care. The bain is in safe hands not being raised by wolfs so stop being a deek man.
I know the vics brother is bad seed but is Billy now the new bad seed? Mind you Simon was very vindictive in his motives to out Billy as a thug, kinda weird seeing as he kept mashing up Liane and this was all his fault.
I have to say as someone with mental issues, the last person on the planet I would want campaigning for me is Sally. :rotfl:
The last two episodes were rubbish.
The only thing that Kate Oates has got right is the relationship between Todd and Summer. It is interesting to see the turn around with Todd, from when he first met Drew and the idea of looking after summer and to now and how much he cares and loves her. Todd will be devastated if Billy has ruined this and will never forgive him. Excellent scenes with both Todd and Summer, so natural and well played.
The rest of the episodes were upto the usual nonsense as per!
hahaha the guy that attacked Phelan has scary looking eyes but that is about it
I do not understand how younger strong built men cannot fight off Phelan. I am sure he is 60 something
Whilst Andy looks fit to us he is meant to be on meager food rations as and when Phelan has time to bring him food.. Andy is rather clean for not having washing/shower facilities but this is soapland. I think we are meant to think that after 8 months without fresh air, sunlight and little food and of course some infection he had to recover from he is just too weak to attack and defeat Phelan, the scriptwriters seem not able to get that written into the scripts though ..
