as ended her four-year marriage to Lee Mead.
The couple confirmed their split following months of press speculation surrounding their marriage.
"Following continued speculation, Denise Van Outen and Lee Mead are sad to confirm they have decided to separate," her spokesperson confirmed.
"The couple remain the best of friends, with their daughter Betsy as their number one priority. The family ask for privacy at this time."
The Strictly Come Dancing star said of her marriage in April: "To be honest with you, it is really difficult. We just haven't seen each other.
"I started on Strictly in September and we have literally been like ships passing in the night. I'm not going to lie, it is a massive strain on the relationship."
She denied rumours her marriage was over earlier this year after being spotted alone on several holidays.
The pair met when Mead was a contestant on Any Dream Will Do in 2007, which the presenter was judging.
They went on to marry in the Seychelles in 2009 and welcomed daughter Betsy a year later.

Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones have separated, it has been confirmed.
A publicist for the movie star couple told the BBC that they are "taking some time apart to evaluate and work on their marriage".
The announcement follows reports by numerous US media outlets that Douglas and Zeta-Jones had ended their 14-year relationship.
Sources have claimed that they are still trying to work out their problems for the sake of their children, 13-year-old Dylan and 10-year-old Carys.
Douglas and Zeta-Jones have not been photographed together since April. Since then they have walked red carpets solo and gone on separate holidays, with Douglas travelling alone to Sardinia, Italy in recent weeks.
The pair had denied previous claims of a trial separation in February.
Douglas and Zeta-Jones started dating in 1999 and married in November the following year.
