why does tyrone have to put up mimi in his house
Please, lets not have Spider the Yeti back for long.
I have a green bin for general waste. Blue for plastic, Black with purple lid for Glass, Black with grey lid for cardboard, paper etc. Meant to have a small food caddy but the winds in sunny Scotland have blown them away long ago and the only reason I don't have a brown garden waste bin is because I live in a flat.
Even then the collections aren't great. I live on my own and find that a lot of my bins are near full come collection day.
So the collection cycle isn't every week or even two weeks on the same day?
I don't live in the UK any more. It does seem to be complicated.
Do your council send you a list of which bin is being emptied on which dates, or are all the bins outside for the 'binmen' to empty as-and-when?
We have a calendar of dates when particular bins are collected. General waste is on a fortnightly cycle, food waste on a weekly cycle, paper and card on a fortnightly cycle, plastic on a different fortnightly cycle and garden waste on some other cycle that I'm not aware of as I don't put any out.
Waste collection is down to each council to organise, so it will be different in different parts of the country.
Because they all have to go in different collection vehicles, there would not be enough staff to collect all bins on the same day. We have cardboard/paper every 4 weeks, bottles every 4 weeks and general waste every 2 weeks. All on a wednesday.
We garden waste collected every two weeks on a different day but we have to pay for this service
Our general waste is collected by one vehicle; food, paper & card and plastic are collected by another (one vehicle), so, for example, one week we could have three bins out, general, food, plastic, collected by two vehicles - general in one; food and plastic in the other.
I read an article on your 'council tax' but still don't understand what exactly it is (just like having to pay the BBC to watch TV, not sure why people keep doing that)? Who pays if you are renting? And what exactly does it cover? I pay rent & the only separate thing I pay is electricity. But where I live it is only for the lights, appliances, etc., the landlord pays for the heating (radiators, although there aren't many places left that still use radiators as a heating system) & hot water. He also is responsible for water as a whole, sewer, & garbage.
Electric? Or forced air gas. At least for apartments, duplexes, etc. I live in a building that was built back in 1915 & it would be really expensive to convert it to electric baseboard heating for each individual apartment (there are 19). The radiators are heated by a hot water boiler in the basement.
Local Councils in the UK cover a whole range of services from garbage collection and recycling to upkeep of roads, leisure facilities, social care, planning, parks and recreation areas, schools and libraries. All of which is paid for with our Council Tax. Council Tax also goes to support other services such as the Police and Fire services. Councils also proved council housing as well, though tenants do have to pay extra rent for that.
mimi sounds like dame edna
I am amazed that nobody suspected Hope of damaging the dresses.
Hope probably trained Cerberus to knock the wine bottle over.
While I was checking the spelling, I came across this:
"In Greek mythology, Cerberus often referred to as the hound of Hades, is a multi-headed dog that guards the gates of the Underworld to prevent the dead from leaving."
Just what we need to keep Mimi in her place.
I don't think it has ever been mentioned before having a brewery on the doorstep. Have any of the street residents ever worked there, being just around the corner it would have been better employment than the knicker factory or the kebab shop. How long has it been closed? It can't have been long as nobody has nicked the aluminium kegs.
is that old brewery part of the bistro owned by debbie
david thinking of auds dying for money
so hope cracked into phil's work email, message camilla as phil, destroy the dresses and no one suspects her, she must be clever to write emails as an older man
Five minutes into Mondays episode and I remember why I loathed Spider so much. The way he acted with Ed was ridiculous and his smarminess was annoying.
What on earth was Fiona playing at?
I liked the reception karaoke. EastEnders would have done it so differently and used it as a platform to launch music careers for their younger characters
