Sounds like a good plan Abi - I hate Geography GCSE and have done since before christmas. With what you said about the A Level, I'm glad I don't like the GCSE.

No, what they said was that 25% of the results were As.

Apparently 'less than 10% of candidates' got straight As.

That said it is amazing, in my day you were lucky if 3 or 4 people in a year got straight As at Higher

6 people in my year got straight As, so its not changed much really...

I'm gonna retake my Electoral systems and voting behaviour in Politics, to get up to a B. And i'm gonna retake one of my ICT units. I only need 4 marks to get an A.

So basically, do 3 retakes, and end up with ABB.

Really, i'm not sure what to think about my exams. I wanted to drop ICT, because i hate it, but as its my best subject, i'm not going to. I like geog, but the coursework saved me, and next year we dont do any, so theres no point me doing it, because i'll just fail A2.

So yeah, BCCC, but i'll get it up to ABB. Trust me ;)

well done abi! :D and im sure youll be able to bring those grades up. i didnt do very well in AS politics, got an E in one of the modules, but managed to get a B at alevel overall so it can be done lol!

Well done to Abi and Bryan. Stop being so hard on yourselves you both did really well and put in a lot of hard work. You should be given yourselves a pat on the back.

yeh biology is really difficult, me and most of my class struggled in biology. chemistry and maths are meant to be really hard too. i dont know about chemistry seeing as i didnt take it, though most people in my year got a U in AS, but i did maths and yes it was hard but not as difficult as some people said, so although obviously some subjects are harder than others i think it also depends on the individual on how hard they are (if that makes sense)

Yeah, its easy talking about politics, but writing about it is a lot harder!! But BBD was better than i was expecting. And its Voting Behaviour and Systems, which is the better one to revise again, i suppose! And this time last year, i knew nothing about Politics, lol!

i knew nothing about politics either before i started. BBD is really good for a subject youd never done before. cant remember what one i did badly in, it was unit 2, about parliament and constitutions and stuff i think. good luck with the retake and next year in it :)

Had the funeral yesterday hence the delay in letting you know how i did.

I got
Psychology - A
Law - B
Geography - C (very chuffed with this one as got a D at AS and had to work like crazy to get the gerade up i really thought this would let me down, but it didnt)
General Studies - C

Very pleased with myself over all.

Good luck all those still waiting, the GCSE results.

Oh and also really pleased as my college which is a mixed Comp with 800 odd pupils in my year were in the top 450 state schools, its really good as there are really few comps there and only about three with that many pupils, so well done my College.

and B in geography, all english, double award science, and everythin else i can't remember off the top of my head lol

I'm pleased with them, I've got the grades I need to get into the courses I want to....but i'm a little annoyed because my sister got brilliant grades and i think my parents were expecting me to do the same :rolleyes: OH well. :)
