Neighbours star fuels rumours of Wendy Rodwell betrayal
"Surely not!"
https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/nei...rayal-rumours/
Neighbours spoilers follow.
Neighbours star Shiv Palekar has fuelled rumours that Wendy Rodwell could betray her husband Andrew in upcoming episodes.
The actor, who plays Haz Devkar, mentioned Wendy's future while promoting some new storylines on Neighbours' social media channels.
Shiv has a semi-regular feature on Neighbours' social pages, which sees him appear in character as Haz and offer cryptic hints at future plots.
Speaking about Wendy in the latest edition, Shiv teased: "She was in the caf? the other day with a younger crowd.
"And out of one of them, there was a very handsome man that she was kind of cosying up to and I thought to myself: 'Wendy, surely not!'"
The storyline is expected to tie in with Wendy hitting the party scene when she starts university in the coming weeks.
Neighbours bosses have released spoiler pictures which show Wendy getting to know new character Quinn, played by actor Louis Le.
Wendy has a great time as she enjoys drinks with her new friends, but will she cross a line with Quinn or stay loyal to Andrew?
Neighbours' executive producer Jason Herbison recently promised some more big storylines for the Rodwell and Varga-Murphy families following the positive reaction they've received from fans in recent months.
He told Digital Spy: "I'm so happy that viewers have embraced the new families, although we did meet the Rodwells last season.
"There were a lot of new characters to get used to and it's a testament to the writers and the actors that they settled in so quickly. We wanted to put them at the forefront and we have long story arcs planned for both families."
Neighbours airs Wendy and Quinn's party scenes in early July.

Neighbours to reveal newcomer Quinn?s feelings for Wendy
They bond after a night of drinking.
https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/nei...endy-feelings/
Neighbours spoilers follow.
Next week?s episode of Neighbours will see newcomer Quinn reveal his feelings for Wendy Rodwell after the pair strike up a bond.
Wendy recently elected to enrol at the university, and will soon meet some younger friends as she embraces her new lifestyle.
In scenes set to air next Monday (July 1), Wendy will relive her youth as she heads for drinks with her new friends.
After getting to know her course-mates, including the likeable Quinn, Wendy?s night turns into a marathon as she stays out longer than she'd intended.
She pays the price the following morning, however, as she nurses a quite hefty hangover, with Cara and Sadie both seeing the funny side of the matter.
She could soon be back on the drinking trail, however, after Quinn invites her on a pub crawl. Aaron offers to cover Wendy?s shift, leaving her free to attend.
After she accepts the invitation, Quinn looks on with affection of his new friend ? could there potentially be a spark between him and Wendy?...
Should Wendy get closer to Quinn, this will surely have ramifications on her marriage with Andrew, a development that was teased by actor Shiv Palekar.
?She was in the caf? the other day with a younger crowd,? said Palekar, who plays Haz Devkar on the soap. ?And out of one of them, there was a very handsome man that she was kind of cosying up to and I thought to myself: 'Wendy, surely not!?

Neighbours split fears revealed for Wendy and Andrew Rodwell
Wendy's secret causes big problems.
https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/nei...w-split-fears/
Neighbours spoilers follow.
Neighbours couple Wendy and Andrew Rodwell hit the rocks next week.
The pair's marriage comes under serious strain when Wendy is caught out for hiding the fact that she's married.
Ever since starting university as a mature student, Wendy has tried to fit in with the younger crowd. She has let her new friends believe that she's single and doesn't have any children.
Later this week, Wendy's lies start to backfire when her husband Andrew and daughter Sadie catch her hosting a wild house party.
Wendy reluctantly comes clean about her efforts to impress the other students by pretending to be younger. However, she still notably keeps quiet about how her friends don't know Andrew and Sadie exist.
In follow-on scenes next week, Cara Varga-Murphy accidentally says too much when she openly questions Andrew's forgiving stance.
Unaware that Wendy is still hiding the extent of her lies, Cara comments that she expected Andrew to be more upset over his wife pretending to be single at uni.
This revelation deeply upsets Andrew, even when Wendy brushes it off as a silly game that she was playing to fit in. Andrew disagrees, convinced that Wendy would have kept up the pretence for much longer if she hadn't been busted.
As Andrew pushes Wendy to explain her actions, she admits that it was fun to play out a different life scenario for a while. This makes Andrew feel worse, as he fears that he and Sadie don't exist in Wendy's dream life.
Later, Wendy worries that Andrew has left her when it's past midnight and he still hasn't returned home from work. She's unable to reach him for an explanation ? is she right to fear the worst?

Neighbours' Wendy Rodwell to face prejudice in upsetting scenes
Wendy questions a major accomplishment.

Neighbours spoilers follow.
Wendy Rodwell will face prejudice in upsetting Neighbours scenes next week.
It has been a tumultuous year for Wendy, as she's faced marriage troubles with her husband Andrew Rodwell after pretending she was single to a new group of friends.
Wendy has tried to pursue a new path as a mature student at Erinsborough University where she faces discrimination in upcoming scenes.
As this new storyline begins, Wendy still feels guilty over her lies even though Andrew and daughter Sadie have assured her they are willing to move forward.
Wendy is asked to hang out with her younger group of friends once again, though they encourage her to be honest with them this time around.
Andrew once again offers support over Wendy's guilty feelings, reminding her she missed out on the uni experience earlier in life and deserves to have some fun now.
He even agrees to join Wendy and her friends for a drink, though this gesture only makes Wendy realise she wants to experience this new part of her life on her own.
Wendy eventually has a change in attitude when she's accepted into this new group of friends once again ? with Andrew being encouraged to join in too.
She then sets her sights on Erinsborough University's Gatsford Mentorship, admitting to Andrew and Cara Varga-Murphy that the award would boost her spirits.
All of Wendy's hard work on the project is rewarded when she's eventually announced as the winner of the Gatsford Mentorship.
Another university student, Heidi, soon makes prejudicial accusations that the entire Gatsford Mentorship was just a diversity ploy by the university's PR team to look good.
Wendy is taken aback by Heidi's discriminatory comment, so shuts down Andrew's attempts to celebrate her victory.
When Andrew clocks that Wendy is hiding something, she confesses that Heidi's hurtful words have left her wondering if she'd won the award on merit.
Cara tries to be supportive by suggesting Wendy file an official complaint, noting that she'd faced discrimination in her life as well because she's a member of the LGBTQ+ community.
Her recommendation doesn't sway Wendy, who finally finds some understanding with friend Quinn Lao as they discuss the prejudice they face on a day-to-day basis.
These powerful scenes will be airing on Neighbours on Tuesday, July 30, and Wednesday, July 31.

Can their marriage survive?

Neighbours spoilers follow.
Neighbours airs a make-or-break moment for Wendy and Andrew Rodwell's marriage next week.
The couple try to talk things through as Andrew feels betrayed over Wendy's ongoing connection to Quinn Lao, her new university friend.
This week's episodes see Andrew and Sadie both spot tell-tale signs that Quinn is seeking more than just friendship with Wendy.
Andrew initially gives Wendy the benefit of the doubt, but he later confronts her and suggests that she can't be totally oblivious to Quinn's feelings.
Wendy admits that she did share a moment with Quinn recently, but she insists that it's nothing for Andrew to worry about.
When Wendy offers to give Andrew some space to process everything, she's surprised as he agrees that it's a good idea.
In follow-on scenes next week, Wendy gives herself a hard time for not setting clearer boundaries with Quinn sooner.
However, back at the Rodwell house, Andrew is already starting to wonder whether he may have overreacted.
Andrew ends up apologising to Wendy for letting her stay away from home overnight. He concedes that they should have talked through their issues openly and honestly.
Confiding fully in Andrew for the first time, Wendy clarifies that she hasn't been seeking to replace him with anyone else.
Wendy adds that she was searching for her authentic self and found her after starting university, as it was the first time she wasn't judged and felt accepted for who she is.
Andrew tries his best to understand Wendy's perspective as she suggests continuing to work through this crisis together.
Unfortunately for the couple, there could still be a rocky road ahead. Can Andrew and Wendy's marriage survive this?

Neighbours' Wendy Rodwell has some explaining to do next week, as she's caught spending more time with her friend and potential love interest Quinn Lao.
Byron Stone is put in the difficult position of interfering in Wendy's marriage after spotting her sharing a hug with Quinn.
Wendy recently confessed to her husband Andrew about how she'd shared a moment with Quinn, a fellow student she'd bonded with at university.
Andrew was furious over the revelation, but later backed down when Wendy agreed that she wouldn't spend time with Quinn anymore.
This week's episodes see Byron realise that Wendy could still be lying to Andrew, as he witnesses a seemingly-cosy moment between her and Quinn.
In follow-on scenes next week, Byron speaks to his girlfriend Sadie about her mum's secret meeting.
The timing couldn't be worse, as Sadie is just starting to feel that her parents' marriage is getting back on track.
Sadie is forced to share Byron's discovery with both Wendy and Andrew, letting them fight it out from there.
Wendy informs Andrew that Quinn asked to see her about a study issue, so she reluctantly agreed to the meeting. She reiterates that her close friendship with Quinn is now over.

Neighbours' Wendy Rodwell to be caught out again in hostage plot
Is this the final straw for Andrew?
https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/nei...ll-caught-out/
Neighbours spoilers follow.
Neighbours' Wendy Rodwell fears the worst next week as she's caught secretly spending time with Quinn Lao yet again.
Wendy and Quinn's latest interaction is exposed as part of the dramatic hostage situation that takes place at The Waterhole in next Wednesday and Thursday's episodes (September 25 and 26).
A few weeks ago, Wendy promised her husband Andrew that she would cut fellow university student Quinn out of her life.
Wendy's vow came after she confessed to Andrew that she'd shared a charged moment with Quinn, although neither of them had acted on it.
Next week, Wendy repeats her promise to stay away from Quinn after being spotted in a brief conversation with him over a study-related matter.
A few days later, there are worrying times for Erinsborough's residents as Heath Royce's former bodyguard Justin arrives at The Waterhole to confront Holly Hoyland.
Justin orders Holly to hand over Heath's stolen money, and when she's unable to do so, a tense hostage situation unfolds inside the local bar.
Holly, Aaron Brennan, Susan Kennedy, Paul Robinson and Felix Rodwell are among the characters who find themselves trapped inside the building with a menacing Justin, who's armed with a gun.
Justin orders Aaron to lock the doors and instructs everyone to hand their phones over.
When police are alerted to the crisis, armed officers rush to the scene and try to negotiate the safe release of the hostages.
Andrew assures his daughter Sadie that they don't need to worry about Wendy as she wasn't inside The Waterhole when Justin turned up.
However, the truth is soon revealed to viewers when Wendy and Quinn are revealed to be hiding in the bar's office together.
When Andrew later finds out about this, he's cold towards Wendy as he feels that she has betrayed his trust again.
Wendy is overwhelmed and tearful after her terrifying ordeal, but Andrew fails to show much sympathy. Instead, he sternly demands to know what Wendy was doing with Quinn.
Could this be another nail in the coffin for the Rodwells' troubled marriage?

Neighbours spoilers follow.
Neighbours reveals an uncertain future for Wendy and Andrew Rodwell's marriage next week.
The couple struggle to get back on track following the revelation that Wendy was trapped with Quinn Lao during a siege at The Waterhole.
This week's episodes see Heath Royce's former bodyguard Justin hold several characters at gunpoint at the bar. The frightening incident comes as Justin tries to get Heath's stolen money back from Holly Hoyland.
As the drama unfolds, Wendy hides out in The Waterhole's office with Quinn.
Her husband Andrew is shocked when their presence is uncovered, as Wendy has repeatedly promised to stay away from Quinn following the recent romantic chemistry between them.
Next week, Wendy desperately tries to explain herself to Andrew but gets upset when he seems unwilling to hear her out.
When Andrew storms off rather than listen to Wendy, she's forced to confide in her daughter Sadie about what happened instead.
Sadie sympathises with her mum when Wendy explains that Quinn tricked her into meeting him again, claiming to be her next university mentor.
Wendy suggests to Andrew that she could apply to put an intervention order on Quinn in the hope that he stops pestering her.
Andrew harshly dismisses this, claiming that Wendy is the problem rather than Quinn.
The police sergeant goes on to complain that Wendy and Quinn's surprise presence at The Waterhole distracted him at a crucial moment when he was dealing with the hostage situation.
This caused Andrew to freeze up and humiliate himself in front of colleagues, and jeopardise the safety of those trapped inside the building.
As Wendy continues her attempts to make amends, she's left upset as Andrew keeps on rejecting her. Could their marriage be in serious trouble?

Thinking ANDREW is going to regret this soon?
is quinn stalking, harassing wendy now? i did think quinn was gay
Yep I thought QUINN was gay too once we met the character.
Not stalking, going through a rough time with his family needed a friend. The two initially bonded over their background. Think ANDREW & SADIE are over reacting. SADIE needs to keep her mouth shut and stay out of her parents marriage. WENDY hasnt cheated, isnt cheating and should be able to pick her friends without her family meddling.
is wendy gone for good?
The unconfirmed speculation is that Candice (Wendy) has gone on maternity leave & possibly even left a bit earlier than they expected (which required storyline?s to be re-written a bit). But there doesn?t appear to be be any word on when/if she will return.
There is also speculation that with Wendy away (& Sadie moving into the share house, at least for a while) that Felix will move in with Andrew.
Like I mentioned, this is all speculation with nothing confirmed.

Neighbours spoilers follow.
Neighbours airs a temporary departure for Andrew Rodwell next week as he decides to take a break from Erinsborough.
Andrew vows to spend some time travelling as he faces the reality of an empty house following recent developments involving his wife Wendy, daughter Sadie and brother Felix.
Wendy recently secured an opportunity in the town of Murrayville, which is hours away from Erinsborough. She decided that the timing was right following recent tensions in her marriage to Andrew.
Although Wendy would be away for a few months, she promised Andrew in a phone call that she remained totally committed to their marriage.
Meanwhile, Felix also recently departed Erinsborough, thwarting Andrew's hopes of them living together at Number 24 for a while.
Felix took on board the wishes of his son JJ, who wanted him to leave the area because his presence was causing too many problems for the Varga-Murphys.
In a case of good timing, Felix was presented with his own exciting opportunity when he was offered the chance to work with his church. After saying some heartfelt goodbyes, he left Erinsborough for good.
Elsewhere, this week's episodes see Sadie decide that she wants to stay on at the share house on a more permanent basis.
Sadie becomes the newest official resident at Number 32 alongside newcomer Max Ramsay.
In follow-on scenes next week, Sadie informs Andrew that she'll be signing onto the lease at Number 32 and living there on a long-term basis.
The news comes just as Andrew has received another update from Wendy, who seems to be settling in well in Murrayville.
Andrew is pleased to hear that his daughter and wife are both in good places with their independent choices ? and this inspires him to follow suit by doing something exciting for himself.
The Erinsborough policeman realises that he needs to switch off from recent stresses and spend some time alone, so he decides to take a long road trip to Murrayville.

Neighbours' Andrew Rodwell to face questions over flirty encounter
Max and Holly step in.

Neighbours spoilers follow.
Neighbours cop Andrew Rodwell is mortified next week as he realises that a glamorous Erinsborough newcomer is trying to tempt him.
Andrew receives a gentle warning from his neighbours when he seems oblivious to new character Sandra flirting up a storm.
The awkward situation unfolds at Andrew's self-defence class, which has become popular among the local community in recent weeks.
Sandra is one of the most dedicated members of the group ? but it's not just Andrew's expertise that she's interested in?
"Andrew is flattered when Sandra lavishes praise on him for the work he's been doing to boost everyone's confidence," our Neighbours source explains.
"In Andrew's eyes, Sandra's kind words seem innocent enough ? but Max and Holly are cringing over her attempts to create a romantic vibe between them."
After Max and Holly alert a clueless Andrew to what's really going on, he realises that he needs to take action before this situation gets out of hand.
Andrew awkwardly informs Sandra that he's a happily married man, so nothing could ever happen between them. Sandra is mortified to have misread the signals.
The mix-up unfolds as Andrew's wife Wendy reaches a crossroads in her career.
When Wendy carries out some casual teaching work at Erinsborough High, filling in for a regular member of staff, she holds out hope that it could lead to a permanent position.
Although Wendy's guest visit is a success, Jane Harris breaks the bad news to her that there isn't a permanent job on the table at the moment.
Wendy tries to stay positive and rightly so, as another opportunity soon comes her way. The only problem is that it's a permanent teaching post back in Murrayville.
"Wendy has only just come back from an extended stay in Murrayville and it's taken time to get her marriage back on track since then," our insider reminds us.
"Wendy heading back would raise the possibility of more long-distance challenges for her and Andrew ? or him having to sacrifice his job and move with her.

Neighbours favourite Wendy Rodwell is over the moon to land her dream job next week ? the only catch is that it's not in Erinsborough.
After being offered a teaching position in Murrayville, Wendy broaches the subject of moving there with hubby Andrew, and points out the many sacrifices she's made over the years to support his career. However, his response isn't quite what she hoped for?
"Andrew makes it clear that he's happy with his life in Erinsborough, so he can't just pack up and leave," our Neighbours source explains.
"Wendy really can't believe what she's hearing ? he refuses to even discuss the matter. But with Wendy determined to take the job, where does this leave them?"
Next week gets off to a shaky start for Wendy as she takes up a teaching placement at Erinsborough High. She can't believe how well-behaved her pupils are, though she's unaware that kindly Dex Varga-Murphy is doing his best to keep naughty classmate Ryan in line to make things easy for her.
When Ryan inevitably does kick off, Wendy steps in to successfully defuse the situation, sending her confidence soaring. However, she's later dealt a crushing blow when Jane Harris admits there's no permanent position available for her at Erinsborough High.
Wendy's spirits are soon lifted by the offer of a teaching role in Murrayville, and she's giddy at the prospect of finally getting her career off the ground.
Andrew's stubborn stance on them moving away leaves her frustrated, though, and worried how her marriage will survive the widening gap between them.
"Wendy has only just returned from an extended stay in Murrayville, so the news that she could be heading back is the last thing that Andrew wants to hear," our insider adds.
"It's a difficult moment for the couple ? Wendy is thriving with this new direction in her career, but Andrew doesn't want it to be at the expense of the life they've built for themselves on Ramsay Street."

Amanda's shock decision pits Sadie against Byron
Sadie Rodwell (Emerald Chan) never expected to be left in charge of Amanda's estate, but when she is given that responsibility in Amanda's will, it could be the final straw in her and Byron's relationship.
"Sadie is definitely shocked and confused by Amanda's decision," Emerald tells TV Week. "Especially since she isn't even family."
Wanting to do the right thing, Sadie turns to someone she thinks she can rely on - Darcy (Mark Raffety), who, unbeknownst to Sadie, might be the reason Amanda (Briony Behets) is dead.
"She feels like she can trust Darcy - she doesn't feel like he has any bad intentions," Emerald explains. "He's somewhat of an outside source for her to rely on."
But as Byron (Xavier Molyneux), Amanda's grandson, pushes to contest the will, Sadie draws a line.
Byron believes his mum and sister should have got more," Emerald adds. "But Sadie believes Amanda made this decision for a reason."
The final blow comes when Byron refuses to back down and Sadie decides enough is enough - she wants to walk away from this relationship.
"Sadie is sad to see how this relationship ends," Emerald says. "But this has been a build-up over time, including Byron's past behaviours." "

The death of Amanda Harris will have lasting consequences on Neighbours, with Sadie Rodwell and Byron Stone soon breaking up in the fallout.
Amanda, who returned to Erinsborough last month after nearly four decades away, recently passed away after being caught in a trap of scheming doctor Darcy Tyler, with her body being found at the bottom of an embankment.
With the community left devastated, next week's scenes see the Harris family prepare for Amanda's funeral, with a guilt-stricken Jane debating whether to attend following her strained relationship with her mother.
After eventually being convinced by Sadie, Jane gives an impassioned speech at the ceremony as she reflected on both her anger and sadness, with the eulogy acting as a sort of catharsis for the figure.
Tension soon resurface, however, as the reading of the will unearths many surprises. Instead of distributing money to her family, it is revealed that Amanda had wished for her estate to be liquidated and held in a scholarship trust for fashion students.
A further twist sees Sadie, the girlfriend of Amanda's grandson Byron, be given full control over the trust, with the revelation shocking the room. Sadie seeks advice from Darcy, who urges to maintain control as he secretly attempts to hide his own theft of Amanda's money.
Sadie informs Byron, Nicolette and Jane that she intends to carry out Amanda's wish, with Jane accepting her choice. Nicolette and Byron, however, are enraged, with Sadie questioning her future with the latter as they have an argument.
Andrew later comforts Sadie following the confrontation, with Sadie admitting that her connection to Byron is rapidly dwindling. Her mood is worsened as she discovers that Byron and Nicolette have decided to contest the will, leading her to break up from her boyfriend...
"Byron and Sadie have been through a lot together - including the recent fire drama where Byron saved his sister over his girlfriend," said an insider for the soap.
"But it's Amanda's will that proves to be the final straw, creating a rift that they don't seem able to come back from. If only Amanda's family knew that it was Darcy they should be most angry with?"
