Neighbours confirms big new storyline twist for Dipi Rebecchi and Pierce Greyson
Their marriages continue to deteriorate.
https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/nei...greyson-twist/
Neighbours will see Dipi Rebecchi and Pierce Greyson grow closer and share a kiss as part of a new big storyline.
Both of the pair's marriages ? to Shane Rebecchi and Chloe Brennan respectively ? are in danger, with Dipi (Sharon Johal) upset over Shane's drug addiction and Pierce (Tim Robards) struggling with Chloe's pregnancy and Nicolette's feelings for his wife.
Things became more strained (via TV Soap magazine) between Chloe and Pierce when Chloe sadly suffered a miscarriage in scenes that aired last Friday (September 11) in Australia.
Pierce becomes frustrated when Chloe decides to continue with the baby shower for her mother Fay. At the baby shower, he turns to Dipi and they both take comfort in each other's company.
Chloe, finding it difficult to cope with the pressure, reveals her miscarriage to everyone present.
Pierce and Dipi both try to support their partners, but their respective relationships continue to deteriorate. When Chloe and Pierce take part in one of Dipi's cooking classes, a struggling Shane interrupts and causes a scene, angering Dipi.
Pierce defends Dipi and hits out at Shane, which leads to a huge argument between Dipi and Shane.
In the aftermath, Dipi and Pierce flee from their respective partners and find themselves confiding in each other at Lassiters over their potentially doomed marriages. They end up kissing.
The pair, feeling guilty, return to their partners the next morning. Dipi finds Shane continuing to struggle with his cravings, while Pierce sees Chloe turning to Nicolette for support and comfort.
Dipi and Pierce decide to keep their kiss a secret and try to salvage their marriages.
Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).
I just let out a big sigh.
Why does this storyline keep happening? I know it?s a drama but is it really impossible for a healthy non-cheating relationship once in a while? Is it really impossible for an opposite sex friendship that doesn?t lead to romance?

Neighbours brings in Sharon Johal's real-life husband as body double for affair storyline
Dipi Rebecchi actress will be kissing her real spouse in Pierce Grayson scenes.
https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/nei...-affair-story/
Neighbours has inducted Dipi Rebecchi star Sharon Johal's real-life husband into the soap as a body double, hiring him to perform kissing scenes with the actress.
The soap has confirmed that a new storyline will see Dipi and Pierce Greyson (Tim Robards) embarking on a shock affair as both of their marriages struggle. Dipi and Pierce will soon be seen sharing a passionate kiss, which they decide to keep secret from their respective spouses, Shane Rebecchi (Nicholas Coghlan) and Chloe Brennan (April Rose Pengilly).
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, intimate scenes are currently off the table for all soaps with actors having to socially distance from one another on set, but Australian newspaper Sunday Herald Sun has revealed that Neighbours is making Dipi and Pierce's romantic scenes look more realistic by hiring star Sharon's finance executive husband, Ankur, to film on-screen kisses with her.
Ankur revealed to the paper that Sharon actually made him rehearse for the scenes, saying: "My wife made me practice 'pretend kissing' the night before, which is such a weird concept. I thought my kissing skills were up to scratch but obviously not."
He added that Sharon is delighted to be working on such a big story, saying that "her pride in her work requires her to tell the story and perform to the best of her ability however she can, (and) on this occasion that included having me to help in those pivotal scenes".
Sharon joked that the affair story has seen her having to kiss too many men, particularly since Tim has now left his role as Pierce and actor Don Hany has taken over as the character.
"I had to be intimate with four men over the course of this storyline ? my on-screen husband Shane, Pierce played by Tim Robards, Pierce played by Don Hany and my real-life husband," she said. "There were definitely three men too many for me."

The actress has also shared a photo on Instagram of herself sitting on a bed with Ankur, who is dressed in the same suit as the real Pierce actor in the background, which she captioned, "Um. WHAT IN THE WORLD is going on here?!"
Neighbours isn't the only soap that has decided to use the real-life partners of its actors in order to film intimate scenes, with the UK's own EastEnders and US soap Bold and the Beautiful also adopting the tactic in order to film romantic moments safely.
Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).
so more than a kiss happens, full blown affair
Digital Spy article. Neighbours has confirmed that Shane & Dipi's son, Jay, will be arriving:
Neighbours confirms plans to expand the Rebecchi family
Shane and Dipi's son is coming to Ramsay Street.
https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/nei...val-confirmed/
Neighbours bosses have confirmed that the Rebecchi family will be getting another member later this year.
Show chiefs are finally planning to introduce Dipi and Shane's absent son Jay, three years after the rest of the family moved to Ramsay Street.
Speculation over Jay has been mounting in recent days, after a leaked script appeared online which appeared to reveal his imminent arrival.
When approached by Digital Spy, a Neighbours spokesperson exclusively announced: "We can confirm that, yes, there is another Rebecchi coming to Ramsay Street ? stay tuned!"
Digital Spy understands that further information on Jay and his arrival storylines will be revealed at a later date.
A number of Neighbours cast members have spoken about Jay over the years.
In 2019, Olivia Junkeer ? who plays Jay's sister Yashvi ? told Digital Spy: "Oh my gosh, I know! I want to meet Jay Rebecchi too! I hope so. I think it will happen eventually. It's definitely on the cards.
"I think it'd be great to have another Rebecchi family member. It'd be a really tight squeeze in the house!"
Sharon Johal, who plays Dipi, also told Digital Spy this year: "I personally as an actor have found it very hard to reconcile Dipi not having her middle child living with the family.
"She is a strong mother bear figure and would protect her lion cubs at any cost, but Jay isn't there. There has to be a big juicy reason ? writers, do your thing!"
Nicholas Coghlan, who plays Shane, has also referenced Jay's mysterious lack of visits.
He told Radio Times: "Yes, there is this boy called Jay who is at boarding school in Sydney, but never visits. It's never been explained why that is.
"He is the middle child between Yashvi and Kirsha. I think that's how it works ? don't quote me! There is still talk of him, so he's got to appear at some time surely."
Jay's arrival could come amid a turbulent time for the Rebecchi family, as Shane has been struggling with a drug addiction, while Dipi is currently having an affair with Pierce Greyson.
Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and weekdays at 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).

Neighbours star Sharon Johal confirms exit for Dipi Rebecchi
"I am so excited for what the future holds."
https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/nei...rebecchi-exit/
After four years playing Dipi Rebecchi, Neighbours actress Sharon Johal is officially on her way out of soapland.
She announced the news herself on Instagram today (March 2) via a lengthy post, explaining: "Some of you may have seen this coming but to be honest I put the motions into play over a year ago.
"A number of reasons brought me to here, however inevitably my ambition for growth has ultimately been the decider."
Johal went on to share her excitement "for what the future holds", before revealing that she's been shadowing director Tenika Smith in the hope of producing her own content.
"I am so utterly grateful for the opportunity and 'break' this iconic show has given me. A show that has run for 35yrs+ requires no commentary, it speaks for itself.
"I have learnt and grown so much in this time technically, professionally but also mentally as this job is rewarding yet challenging in so many ways," she continued.
Further on, the Dipi star acknowledged the unsociable working hours for a production of this scale, and the "long-term exhaustion" she's endured as a result.
https://www.instagram.com/p/CL7mHWXB...ource=ig_embed
"If I learnt anything during lockdown, it was to question what the point of 'all of this' was and to prioritise what serves me and my family ? for now, it's this," she noted.
"I value all that I've learnt. I want to take this opportunity to thank my friends, the crew, writers, make-up, costume, art and pre/post production departments on the show, on screen and off.
"The producers for choosing me as an actor and supporting this next stage of my career-it's never really GOODBYE is it?"

Neighbours star Sharon Johal opens up about the years of racism she has faced in her acting career and what was different about Australian?s most famous street.

Thought it might be racist BS. Wonder if the other non white actors in the show have also been racially bullied?
I thought she was going to leave as soon as I read the spoiler of her wanting to move to Sydney. Maybe she will hook up with Pierce? A shame that another Rebecchi marriage is kaput.....
A better ending would have been for her to run off with Pierce. The way that has been undone was disappointing. Does this mean Shane leaves too? I'd hope not. More potential there.. but Amy was only in as a guest, so that's a shame as well.
There has been persistent (but of course, unconfirmed) rumours around for quite some time now that Nicholas/Shane was leaving, & even recent reports (also unconfirmed) saying that he finished filming in Dec. Now that Shane & Dippi have reconciled onscreen, & the latest spoilers mentioning that Dippi asks Shane to move to Sydney to be near family, I will be very surprised if they don't leave together (newspaper reports mention that Sharon/Dippi's final episode will be at the end of March in Aust).

Shane's exit is also made official.
https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/nei...-guest-return/
Neighbours spoilers follow.
Neighbours has revealed Sharon Johal will be returning as Dipi Rebecchi in a guest capacity after her exit.
Viewers in Australia have seen Dipi and Shane planning to move to Sydney for a fresh start and to be closer to their children Kirsha and Jay, with their final scenes as regular characters airing within the next couple of weeks.
Executive producer Jason Herbison confirmed (via TV Tonight) that both characters are leaving Ramsay Street ? the first official confirmation of Nicholas Coghlan's departure ? while adding Dipi will be seen again sooner than expected.
"From their opening scenes four years ago, Sharon and Nick were completely committed to their characters and performance," he said.
"They embraced some really challenging storylines as well as capturing loads of fun moments which have endeared them to the Neighbours audience here and in the UK.
"While Shane and Dipi are moving on for now, like all families on Ramsay Street, the door is always open and in fact Sharon will be returning for [a] guest appearance very soon."
This week on 10 Peach, Dipi has been looking for a manager to run Harold's in her absence.
Nicolette Stone, who already works at the cafe, expressed interest and interviewed for the role, with Chloe Brennan offering to mentor her to make up for her lack of management experience.
Dipi and Shane's departure will affect Yashvi in particular. Future spoilers reveal she will consider her future in Erinsborough, with her boyfriend Ned Willis discovering she has been applying for jobs in Sydney.

Neighbours' Sharon Johal and Nicholas Coghlan exit scenes air as Dipi and Shane say goodbye
Jay Rebecchi makes a brief appearance.
https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/nei...it-scenes-air/
Neighbours spoilers follow from Australian episodes, which some UK readers may prefer to avoid.
Neighbours has said goodbye to Dipi and Shane Rebecchi in new scenes on Australian screens today (March 30).
10 Peach viewers have seen the reunited couple making plans for the past few weeks to move to Sydney for a fresh start as well as to be closer to their children Kirsha and Jay.
Tuesday's episode was Sharon Johal and Nicholas Coghlan's final episode as regulars, as they finished packing and departed from Erinsborough.
It proved to be an emotional final day for Dipi and Shane, as there were goodbyes with Susan and Karl Kennedy, Sheila Canning, Toadie Rebecchi, Yashvi Rebecchi, and Mackenzie Hargreaves.
During the episode, there were questions over whether Yashvi would be moving with her parents.
Ned Willis found out from Yashvi's aunt Mishti Sharma that she had been looking into the possibility of a job in Sydney. Ned was devastated by the revelation, and things were tense between the couple. But Ned ended up providing support for Yashvi as she saw her parents leave Ramsay Street.
There was even a cameo from Dhruv Malge, who reprised his role as Jay Rebecchi. He appeared via video call, as he and Mackenzie discussed his parents' move to Sydney.
At the end of the episode, Dipi and Shane were seen off by Yashvi, Ned, Mackenzie, Sheila, Toadie, Nell, and Hugo. These scenes will air in the UK in four weeks' time.
This won't be the last time fans will see Dipi, as executive producer Jason Herbison recently confirmed that Sharon Johal will be back for a guest appearance.
Starting from tomorrow on Australian screens, the show will air its new set of opening titles which you can watch here.
Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).

Meh. If Dipi and Shane were going to leave, then having Dipi leave with Pierce and Shane leave to get her back or confront her/Pierce would be more compelling than erasing the impact of the affair and driving off into the sunset together.
Pierce's exit was rushed, so perhaps there was originally more to it.
Off-screen or guest spots to undo/redo the storyline is a bit lame and would make Shane look like a complete chump for giving up Amy only to be betrayed again but it may not even happen.

Neighbours' Dipi Rebecchi returns in Yashvi car crash aftermath
Sharon Johal makes a guest appearance.
https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/nei...return-yashvi/
Neighbours spoilers follow from Australian episodes, which some UK viewers may prefer to avoid.
Neighbours has aired Sharon Johal's return as Dipi Rebecchi on Australian screens today (June 30).
The star's final scenes were broadcast back in May on 10 Peach, but it was known for some time that she would be making a guest appearance during the summer.
Wednesday's episode saw Dipi rush back to Erinsborough to be by her daughter Yashvi's (Olivia Junkeer) side, after Yashvi and Levi Canning were involved in a serious car crash during their pursuit of criminals Mitch and Nelson.
Yashvi's injuries were serious to the point where she had to have surgery. But thankfully the operation went well, and she woke up to see her mother next to her.
Dipi suggested Yashvi could spend some time in Sydney while she recovered.
She then got her hopes slightly up that Yashvi and her ex Ned Willis could get back together after Ned rushed to the hospital and showed genuine concern. But those hopes looked like they were dashed by the end of the episode.
Amy Greenwood currently lives at Toadie Rebecchi's house. And while the pair tried to avoid each other considering their history, Dipi walked in on Amy and Ned kissing.
In April, Sharon discussed the racism that she experienced on set following Shareena Clanton's comments. An independent review is currently being conducted in light of claims made by several former cast members.
UK fans will see Dipi's return in four weeks' time on Channel 5.
Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and weekdays at 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).

Neighbours star Olivia Junkeer confirms exit for Yashvi Rebecchi
"My family on the show had left, and I think it was time for me too."
https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/nei...rebecchi-exit/
Neighbours spoilers follow for UK and Australian viewers.
Neighbours' Olivia Junkeer has confirmed she's leaving as Yashvi Rebecchi after more than four years on the show.
The star's final scenes will air next week on 10 Peach in Australia in the aftermath of the dramatic car crash that put her in hospital. Former regular Sharon Johal recently returned as Yashvi's mother Dipi as part of the exit storyline.
Yashvi's departure comes just a few months after Dipi and Shane left for Sydney.
"I needed a change!" Olivia told TV Week magazine. "My family on the show had left, and I think it was time for me too.
"I've been working on Neighbours since I left school, so I think I need to experience something different. Four and a half years seemed like a good time to experience something new."
Olivia added that she was happy with Yashvi's "open-ended" exit.
"Yashvi has had such a journey," she said. "She came to Ramsay Street as a rebellious teen, but walked away a mature, self-assured young woman, similar to my own experience walking onto the set for the first time."
And when asked whether she would consider returning one day, the star replied: "Of course! I don't think I can ever properly say goodbye to Ramsay Street."
At the time of Dipi and Shane's exit, Yashvi seriously considered following her parents to Sydney, but stayed in Erinsborough to remain with her boyfriend Ned Willis.
But Yashvi and Ned recently broke up, and with Ned now getting close to Amy Greenwood, it looks like Yashvi will decide to move on as well.
Yashvi's exit airs in the UK in five weeks' time.
Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and weekdays at 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).

Neighbours has aired Yashvi Rebecchi's exit on Australian screens, as star Olivia Junkeer shared a goodbye message on Instagram.
Recent episodes have seen Yashvi make the decision to move to Sydney to be with her family again, after being involved in a serious car crash that put her in hospital. Sharon Johal returned as Dipi, as she rushed to her daughter's side.
In today's episode (July 13) on 10 Peach, a recovering Yashvi began packing all of her stuff on her final day in Erinsborough.
She initially acted quite distant with her friends, as she tried to delay facing saying goodbye to her friends.
But eventually, Yashvi shared a warm goodbye with Levi Canning, and then at her surprise farewell party with the likes of Mackenzie Hargreaves, Toadie Rebecchi, and her ex Ned Willis.
Afterwards, she departed to catch her flight with Dipi and reunite with the rest of her family, including Shane, Kirsha, and Jay.
In the aftermath, Ned and Levi ? both sad that Yashvi had left ? were inspired to reach out to Amy Greenwood, setting up a potential love triangle.
On Instagram, Olivia thanked the show, cast, and crew after spending more than four years on Ramsay Street.

"The last four years of playing Yashvi Rebecchi [have] been nothing but a wild dream," she said. "I wouldn't be anywhere close to who I am without the beautiful cast and crew who loved, accepted, and supported me on my best and worst days.
"Thank you for helping me grow into the diva I am today, and sorry that I still can't kick a footy."
