I hate how everyone seems to be on Brad and Lauren's side except Imogen, Terese is the injured party

[QUOTE=LauBuch;832554]Is anyone else annoyed by how they have handled Brad and Laurens relationship?
Colour me annoyed too. I think it is awful how Terese has been portrayed and actually not in keeping with how extra-marital affairs are usually handled in Neighbours. Even Saint Susan who was never that understanding when her husband cheated, has all sorts of empathy for those two scrubbers.
Agreed. I find it deeply irritating and really can't stand Paige now. Brad, as described on another forum, is being "dick of the millennium" (love that quote!) and can only get worse. Hopefully the scriptwriters redeem themselves by giving us a future for Terese where she gets happy and fabulous, and Brad can watch on miserably from the other side of the street

I'm so glad I'm not alone on that! haha
This whole line of "We don't want to hurt anyone" line that Brad and Lauren keep spouting out is a lot of rubbish. If you didn't want to hurt anyone, would you have an affair?
The nicest thing Brad could have done was end things with Terese and then move on with Lauren. It still would have hurt and been a rubbish move, but it wouldn't hurt so much knowing they went behind your back.
I SO hope Terese moves on, especially after the fire. I hope Josh and Piper see Brad for what he is when he chooses to save Lauren over their own mum, but I don't doubt that'll happen, they will probably defend him and say it was a difficult choice, which it is. But Brad is a little fickle I think and no doubt it this Brad and Lauren thing is long term, he will cheat again. As the saying goes "if he cheats with you, he will cheat on you." That's proven to be true so far with him!

Yes that's true and Brad had always been attracted to novelty-20 years ago Lauren was all new and shiny compared to Beth, his loyal girlfriend, then Terese was the same and now the new Lauren. No doubt when Terese gets a new lease of life, all flirty and fabulous, he'll be back sniffing round her, whining about how he and Lauren "got together for all the wrong reasons" like he did back then-the man has learned nothing! Hope she tells him where to go

Hmm, Wednesday spoiler for Tyler-
"Tyler makes a decision about his feelings for Paige."
Either Paige rejects him, and so he has to give it up, or, Paige finds her feelings and he wants to make sure he's up for lying to his brother again.
I wouldn't be surprised if Paige hooked up with Aaron, to be honest.
Lauren offers herself up on a platter to Brad, detest her know and I used to really like Lauren, homewrecking tramp
I think it was a joke, gillyH1981.
paige should leave and take her real cheating parents with her, she is bringing down the brennans
Seems the story line that Paige planned to get her parents back together has been lost in the hatred for Terese. Yeah ... she has attitude, she is a business woman, she wouldn't have got where she is being weak willed and a wallflower. ...... the viewers seemed not to want to take on board the she has done most of compromising for the sake of all the families. She may not be soft and fluffy like Lauren - but she has had more guts than most in this storyline to fight for her family. Even Lauren's kids (apart from Paige) are not around any more ... and Amber soon to leave too.

They just need to keep Paige away from Mark & Tyler.
She interrupts when the Brennans are trying to have brother time. Like the time Mark & Tyler were having a boys night in and Paige just interrupted them and plonked herself on the couch and decided to watch a movie with them.
You could tell from the looks on Mark's face, he didn't want her there.
Paige is too clingy.
I think that this is the only forum I've been on where Therese isn't being held responsible for the sole cause of her marriage breaking down. It's disappointing from Neighbours that everything is hunky dory for Brad and Lauren, as I don't think that this is how it would be in real life (and yes, I know it's a soap). Even Therese's children were holding her responsible. Not at any point have Brad and Lauren been called out on their behaviour... and don't even get me started on what I think of Susan now.
I have never really liked Susan, I find her particular brand of sanctimony quite irritating. Susan claims that she does not want to take sides but she does not want to defend Terese's because Terese had a go at her and Susan's pride got hurt. Josh is a prat but we saw with the girl that killed Matt, he won't judge others for faults he he knows he has and has compassion too.

predicted the storyline with Daniel months ago.
After watching Friday's episode, Daniel landed quite badly. You could hear thud when he fell. The assault has a big affect on him. it affects his vision & behaviour.
I'm really surprised and disappointed about that. It's so obvious she's the victim, and that her sometimes unreasonable behaviour was caused by Brad and Lauren's growing feelings for one another.
Susan's always been a favourite of mine, but I hate her attitude towards Terese and Lauren. She'd have been devastated if her friends hadn't taken her side after Karl's affair.
It was obviously going to happen after Tim gave the interview saying he'd asked for Daniel to get darker and more like his uncle Paul.

A co-dependant person will move mountains to get another person (own/steal) to do what they want in the guise of love, friendliness, being your being your best friend ...... its one of the biggest tactics going of ownership. A true professional at it can even take it to a point that you don't even think for yourself any more..... manipulation .....
I think Terese was doing this to Brad for most of their marriage .... but Lauren is now taking control (the way she suddenly appears , smooches and smiles stating "I'm available " ..... and Brad just goes along with the fluffy side of life and leaving all the big responsible stuff to others (which is why he stayed with Terese for so long as she paid the bills for their lifestyle, Josh and the swimming let his live his own fantasies).
Both families were a ticking timebomb with their love choices - the only sensible one was Matt (before he fell of the wagon due to Brad and Laurens behaviours which started all of this mess) ... which makes for us good viewing.

Perdita, I have already added perfectblend spoilers. they are on the previous page. you didn't need to add them. can you please remove your post. thanks.
Deadly fire
A blaze at the school puts lives in peril.
Lives are on the line when a catastrophic fire engulfs Erinsborough High School during a community protest to try to save it from being closed.
In Neighbours this week, Brad (Kip Gamblin) is among those bunkered down in the gym as part of the protest.
Suddenly, the building is filled with thick, dark smoke and fierce flames.
Unawre of the blaze spreading from pincipal Susan's (Jackie Woodburne) office, several Ramsay Street residents are in serious danger.
A heavily pregnant Amber (Jenna Rosenow) has been lending a helping hand in the classroom.
Also on site are Tyler (Travis Burns), Paige (Olympia Valance) and Lauren (Kate Kendall). Terese (Rebekah Elmaloglou) has popped by to show her support for the cause, too.
As the fire spreads, Tyler and Paige find themselves trapped in a lift as it begins to shudder and groan.
"The stakes are high", Travis, 24 tell TV Week. "A lot of smoke is coming through the lift doors. It's heating up and you can feel it getting warmer from all the smoke."
The lift cables seem to seem about to snap and the friends are nearly blacking out from the smoke.
"They're stuck and Tyler is close to passing out," Travis says. "He feels like they'll never escape."
Realising they may not make it out alive, Tyler begs Paige to admit she has feelings for him.
"He chooses to put all his feelings on the table to see how she responds," Travis explains.
Paige comes close to admitting how she feels about the younger brother of her boyfriend, Mark (Scott McGregor) but Tyler can't handle the smoke and collapses.
"While Paige Tyler has been on the ground, Paige has been using all her oxygen trying to get them out," Travis says.
"He should have been doing that, too but he wants to get them out."
Tyler and Paige aren't the only one trapped in the inferno.
A wheelchair-bound Toadie (Ryan Moloney) struggles to get down the stairs to escape from the building.
"He terrified and doesn't know how he's going to get out of it," Ryan, 36, explains. "It's an awful situation. He thinks this could be it!"
To make matters worse, Amber's waters break and she starts to go into labour!
Will any of them make it out alive?

Yes, Lauren betrayed her friend, but Brad and Brad alone made the decision to cheat on Terese and leave his marriage.
Terese certainly dominated Brad to a degree, but I didn't see him as being totally dependent on her. Brad isn't clingy and doesn't have low self esteem.
Also, I don't see Lauren as domineering or controlling. She making it clear she wants him, but he's making his own decisions.
There's absolutely no reason why Perdita should remove her post.
