I just still don't get it why is that kiss such a big deal?? Exes have a bit of a moment - so what? And stupid sophie as well making a big issue of it..live a little girl.. I just think it's quite far fetched that's all.
Coronation Street star Joe Duttine has insisted that his character Tim Metcalfe shouldn't turn nasty when he learns about his fiancée Sally Webster's betrayal.
The ITV soap's upcoming live episode will see Tim left devastated when he finally learns of Sally's secret kiss with her ex-husband Kevin.
Tim's discovery will come just one week before he is due to marry Sally, leaving fans to wonder whether their plans for a happy ceremony will be scrapped with just days to go.
Speaking about the fallout for the first time, Duttine revealed: "I think Tim will be heartbroken when he finds out the truth. It's definitely not going to be plain sailing.
"As for whether Tim will punch Kevin, I don't think Tim's the fighting type. I've not seen a stunt arranger around on set for a bit, so I don't think that's going to happen!
"I don't really want to see Tim become aggressive or become a player either. I just think that he's a decent bloke who likes his creature comforts and a simple life."
Duttine also doesn't want Tim to seek solace in the arms of Anna Windass, who is the adoptive mother of his teenage daughter Faye.
He said: "I think there are other characters in the show who could be promiscuous and commit adultery, but I don't think Tim's the type to do that.
"I think Tim and Anna are good friends and it's nice to have friends in the show. I don't think we need to see everybody having it off with each other just to get good drama!"
Tim was introduced to the cobbles as a possible villainous character in January 2013, but the show's writers later delved into his softer side when they decided to pair him up with Sally
Reflecting on the transformation, Duttine explained: "I think when you come into the soap, the writers find out what they want to do with you - and they can change you. They clearly did that with Tim. It felt like I was going to be the new bad guy, but when they put him with Sally, his characteristics changed and it was difficult for her to dislike him!
"We've now got the live episode coming up. When they asked if I'd be involved, I said that I was up for it because I've never done live television before. It's one to tick off, isn't it? I'm quite excited about it.
"I'm going to do some kind of routine beforehand and make sure I go to bed early every night for a week beforehand. I won't drink and won't eat certain foods, like I'm preparing for some sort of triathlon!"
Coronation Street airs its hour-long live episode on Wednesday, September 23 at 7.30pm on ITV.
I hope he does turn up. Feel sorry for Sally now.
I know it must have been very hurtful for Tim to find out that Sally kissed Keving but both have assured him that there is nothing going on and it was a mistake and will never happen again .. if he can forgive Kevin for the price of a pint, I like to think he can forgive Sally too ... go on Tim, go to the wedding next Monday!!
I must admit, I can´t wait to find out whether he will or not
She must love him if she is prepared to sit in that awful van of is

tim dropping sally was very funny
I don't know but i did'nt like it when he dropped her. I thought she had been humiliated enough that day. Plus Sally and Tim are funny in another way not slapstick
Coronation Street's Tim Metcalfe will give his wife Sally some overdue home truths next week as their marriage falls under further strain.
Sally's tiresome political agenda has driven a wedge between the comical couple in recent months, but it's her snobbish ways that finally push Tim over the edge.
Tim (Joe Duttine) will delight Sally by announcing that he has booked a surprise mini-break for them, but she struggles to hide her disappointment when she discovers the location.
As Jenny correctly guesses the pair are headed to Blackpool - after some cryptic clues from Tim - Sally is gutted and soon becomes the victim of some gentle teasing from the other factory workers.

However, Sally's reaction to Tim's gesture does not go down well, and she pays the price after she is arrested along with the rest of Carla's hen party crew.
While all the hens are greeted by their other halves at the police station, Sally is left alone when Tim fails to turn up.
Making her feelings clear, Sally later rails at Tim for failing to come to her rescue, but he turns the tables and calls her a snob for her attitude towards their mini-break.
Tim goes on to explain that he booked the trip to Blackpool in the hope that they could rebuild their fractured relationship, but will Sally be able to see the error of her ways before it's too late?

A dramatic new storyline for the Metcalfes will see Duncan spread rumours that Sally (Sally Dynevor) has been having an affair with him.
It seems that Duncan has a malicious reason for wanting to destroy Sally's reputation, and the resulting scandal is sure to have implications for her position as the local mayor.
When Sally confides in Tim about the nasty rumours that are being spread about her, they decide to seek out Duncan for a showdown.
As Tim confronts his supposed "love rival" with Sally by his side, Duncan sticks to his bogus story by claiming that Sally has been unfaithful with him.
A livid Tim then decides to let his fists do the talking, thumping Duncan as punishment for his lies.
A source commented: "The reasons why Duncan wants to ruin Sally's reputation will become clearer in a few weeks, but it looks like someone in Weatherfield Town Hall wants to get rid of Sally."
As Corrie films its scenes six to eight weeks in advance, fans can expect to see this storyline later in the summer.

What's going on?

Fans will have to wait and see what Tim decides to do with the money, but the big question is: where it has come from? And why?
However, we do know that Tim's wife Sally was recently conned out of council funding by newcomer Duncan Radfield.
Duncan (Nicholas Gleaves) persuaded Sally to give him the mayoral grant for his charity, explaining that he'd set it up as a tribute to his late wife.
Unfortunately, this was all much part of a wider plan of Duncan's, and poor Sally later realised she'd been tricked out of £40,000.
Whether Tim's upcoming windfall has anything to do with the conman remains to be seen, but if it is, what is Duncan up to now?

Coronation Street films affair scenes as Tim gets arrested while sneaking around with Gina
What would Sally say?
Coronation Street's Tim Metcalfe and Gina Seddon look set to commit the ultimate betrayal by having an affair behind Sally's back.
Joe Duttine and Connie Hyde, who play Tim and Gina, have been spotted filming on location for scenes which see their shock secret come under threat.
In an episode due to air later this year, Tim rushes off to help Gina when she gets herself into some trouble, but they accidentally attract police attention.
Having pulled up at the scene in his cab, Tim gets confronted by the police and there's a worrying outcome when he fails a breathalyser test.
As Tim is arrested and hauled away by the police officer, Gina realises that there could be even worse consequences to come.
Could Tim's reckless decision to drink-drive to help Gina expose deeper feelings for her? If so, will they find it difficult to explain this unfortunate incident?
In recent weeks, there have been various hints on screen suggesting that Gina is harbouring feelings for her sister's husband.
So far there have been no signs of these being reciprocated, but it seems that the pressure of Sally's legal battles could drive Tim to start making some terrible mistakes later this year.
Corrie fans can expect to see these scenes in November.

Apparently Joe Duttine (Tim) and Sally Carman (Abi Franklin) are rumoured to be dating :)
I wish Tim would concentrate more in trying to free Sally, same with Sophie
Sally Metcalfe could be set for a Christmas miracle as her husband Tim is on the case this winter to try and expose con man Duncan’s lies and get her freed from prison in time for the Queen’s speech in Coronation Street. Viewers were horrified to see Sally locked up as Duncan continues to claim that they were having an affair and she was coercing him into defrauding the council. Sally protests her innocence and has lawyer pal Paula Martin on the case but Duncan is wily. As Sally’s trial approaches towards the end of the year, Tim knows that he needs to get to the truth – and time is limited. Actors Joe Duttine and Nicholas Gleaves, who play Tim and Duncan respectively, have been filming a fierce showdown. Tim headed to Duncan’s house to have it out with him – but does he have new evidence? Duncan wants rid of Tim but he isn’t going anywhere and a tussle breaks out on the doorstep before Tim lets himself in along with Gina Seddon, Sally’s sister. Whether or not Tim manages to expose the truth about Duncan remains to be seen but viewers are hopeful for a reunion for Sally and her family in time for the Christmas festivities. Duncan is smug as Tim tries to help Sally. Speaking about the Christmas storylines this year, Iain MacLeod, the show’s producer, enthused: ‘Well, the seeds of the stories for Christmas are planted in the big episodes in October, without giving too much away. I wanted it to be a Christmassy Christmas, obviously there’s a history in soap of trying to go and do the Angie and Den Christmas where it’s all acrimony and divorce papers and vitriol. Connie Hyde (Gina) also braved the rain ‘That’s not really my preference, when you sit down as you try and digest your stuffing balls and sprouts, you need it to be warm and light-hearted in places and you need it to reek of Christmas. ‘So, it’ll be a Christmassy Christmas, it’ll have some big, heartbreaking stories within that, it’ll have a big shock at the end and hopefully it’ll be a surprising pay off to those stories that you’ve just seen the inception of here.’

Only doing something after the guilt of an affair
https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/cor...ly-confession/
Coronation Street star Joe Duttine has spoken about his shocking Christmas Day storyline for the first time.
The actor's character Tim Metcalfe will be taking centre stage in the show's hour-long festive episode this year, as he heads to the prison visiting room and tells his wife Sally that he's cheated on her.
Tim makes a devastating mistake just before Christmas, as he makes a move on his sister-in-law Gina Seddon (Connie Hyde) after a drunken festive party.
When Tim wakes up the next morning, he can't remember what happened – but his daughter Faye is quick to let him know that she spotted him in bed with Gina.
The cabbie massively regrets his actions and decides that honesty is the best policy, so he visits Sally on Christmas Day and comes clean.
Discussing the big festive storyline, Joe explained: "Tim is utterly devastated that he has done something like this. He can't believe it. There will be a lovely little scene with Faye where he breaks down about it.
"The thing about Sally and Tim is that they're monogamous – they love each other and are loyal to each other. They don't go off and have affairs – there are other things they can do with those characters. So he's utterly devastated to think that he has cheated on his wife, as mad as she is!"
Joe continued: "Sophie finds out what happened and she's really not happy with Tim – not happy at all.
"Tim then goes to see his wife in prison on Christmas Day, so you have to suspend belief a bit because I don't know if you can do that! But he can't keep a lie, so he just throws caution to the wind and goes to tell her on Christmas Day.
"I don't think Tim expects Sally to forgive him. It's pretty unforgivable, isn't it? I think Tim just feels that he owes Sally the truth. In reality, I don't know how a family would overcome a man sleeping with his wife's sister."
However, asked whether Tim really has gone all the way by sleeping with Gina, Joe teased: "We don't know..."
Fans can also expect a tense Christmas dinner for the Metcalfes, especially as Duncan Radfield has thrown another spanner in the works by telling Sophie that Gina is in love with Tim.
When Sophie brings this up during the family gathering, Gina has to come clean about her secret meetings with Duncan and the extent of her feelings for Tim.
Joe added: "It's a very eventful Christmas Day in the Metcalfe house, so I think it's going to be good viewing. It's not the happiest house on Christmas Day."
i bet tim is drunk and does not do the deed, passes out
Coronation Street is lining up a shocking twist in Sally Metcalfe's story as schemer Duncan Radfield is run over during a showdown with Tim.
Sally (Sally Dynevor) has been sent to prison after being found guilty at her fraud trial, but her husband Tim Metcalfe has vowed to get her home as soon as possible.
Having finally realised that Sally has been innocent all along, Tim is even more hellbent on getting her out of prison in the New Year – especially after learning that she's been beaten up by troublesome inmate Marcia.
Surprisingly, Gina is also doing the right thing by this point as well, as she begs Imran Habeeb to help her nail Duncan once and for all.
When Imran summons Duncan to his office, Gina breaks into his flat and desperately tries to find the evidence she needs.
As Gina continues to spy on Duncan, she makes an incriminating discovery when she follows him to a phone box – leaving both her and Tim confident that this will be enough to expose him.
However, Tim is left even more frustrated when the police inform him that this still isn't enough to exonerate Sally, explaining that they need an actual confession from Duncan to get her out of prison.
In a last-ditch attempt to get information on Duncan, Tim and Sophie decide to contact his daughter Olivia and soon learn that she could be the villain's weak spot.
Seeing how much Olivia's involvement has rattled Duncan, Tim decides to keep using this tactic to force a confession out of him.
However, when things turn violent, Duncan tries to flee but ends up getting hit by a car when Tim catches up and lunges at him. Has Tim just made Sally's situation worse?

They need to be more responsible when its about the law.
They may have put people off appealing!
Coronation Street is lining up another big storyline for Tim Metcalfe as he's set to suffer a horrifying heart attack.
It's been a tough old year for Tim (Joe Duttine) after his wife Sally (Sally Dynevor) was wrongfully imprisoned (and later freed) after being set up for fraud, money laundering and bribery, as well as facing questions over her fidelity too.
But it doesn't look like things are about to get any better for Tim, as Coronation Street has confirmed they're working with the British Heart Foundation on an upcoming storyline regarding Tim's health.
Reports this weekend have stated that Tim Metcalfe will be left fighting for his life after suffering a health crisis, and the soap has confirmed to Digital Spy that they'll be exploring Tim's lifestyle choices as part of the storyline.
"Our research team and writers have been working with the British Heart Foundation looking at Tim's lifestyle choices and how the benefits of healthy eating and regular exercise impact on his health," a Coronation Street spokesperson told us.
Senior Cardiac Nurse at the British Heart Foundation, Philippa Hobson, added: "Every three minutes in the UK, someone is rushed to hospital having had a heart attack.
"It's great to see Coronation Street raising awareness of this devastating condition, which affects so many people across the country.
"Medical research has helped us make huge strides in saving the lives of people suffering heart attacks, keeping hearts beating and blood flowing. But the disease is far from beaten, and it's still essential for us all to be able to recognise the signs and symptoms of a heart attack in ourselves and those around us."

From the article: "Sally and Tim’s marriage is seen as one of the most stable on the cobbles..."
Yes, we can't have that can we? A stable and happy marriage in a soap. Whatever next? Let's think up some ridiculous way to put a stop to that!
