Coronation Street hairdresser Audrey Roberts prides herself on customer satisfaction - but not when her love rival Nessa Warner ends up in her clutches next month.
Audrey (Sue Nicholls) is currently wrestling with secret feelings for Ken Barlow, but is kicking herself for letting Nessa get in there first.
As Audrey nurses a broken heart, episodes airing in early December will see Nessa (Sadie Shimmin) have further luck with Ken when she spends the night at the Barlow house for the first time.
Nessa also makes an effort to win round Ken's granddaughter Amy, hoping that it will cement her new place within the Barlow family.

With her relationship going from strength to strength, Nessa is delighted when she later tells Audrey that she'll be attending Carla Connor and Nick Tilsley's engagement party as Ken's plus one.
Audrey pretends to be happy for Nessa and offers to do her hair for the occasion, but Nessa is appalled by the results when Audrey's efforts go drastically wrong.
It's clear to Nessa that Audrey sabotaged her on purpose and she refuses to attend the party because she looks so frightful. However, when Ken (Bill Roache) invites Nessa to stay the night again, has Audrey's masterplan backfired?

Coronation Street airs these scenes on Friday, December 11 at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
I am sure it was not deliberate. I bet Audrey got herself in a state listening to Nessa go on and on
Looks horrible but surely Nessa could just give her hair a good brushing and wear it the way she usually does?? Why is she sulking and not going to the party?? :ninja:
They would not have a storyline if it was ok
I thought perhaps Aud felt a bit peckish
and thought of Walnut Whips and let it
affect her styling!
I dont think we can expect "adult " behaviour
from.either character while this plotline
continues.Dont know much about Nessa really
but have always liked Audrey.
A bit flighty when younger but basically
good hearted sensible and a sense of humour.
And now......
p.s. do we know why Audrey has a plaster on
wrist?.Hope thats not an indication of plot
development
smiling happy with a spring in her step, lewis?
aud wasnt in financial trouble before Archie's 80k so nick taking it shouldn't mean her selling her business and home
Did Audrey sell half her salon business to Maria or just give to Maria to get her back?

mark eden aka alan bradley has died
Coronation Street actor Mark Eden has died at the age of 92.
Mark, who played the legendary Corrie villain Alan Bradley, died earlier today after living with Alzheimer's.
The actor played Alan Bradley for three years and his abusive character is famed for the scene in which he was struck and killed by a Blackpool tram while chasing his partner Rita Fairclough in 1989.
Mark had been married to fellow Weatherfield icon Sue Nicholls, who plays Audrey Roberts in the soap, since 1993.

street's next newest alcoholic ?
Todd Boyce is reprising the role as Stephen Reid her son
did she take the sleeping tablets on purpose?
In the wake of scenes in which she attempted suicide, Coronation Street is to highlight the issues of mental health and the impact of loneliness in older people when Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls) confides in her friends that she tried to take her own life.
Viewers saw Audrey receiving treatment in hospital last month, telling a doctor that she had accidentally taken too many tablets and this week, she continues to insist that was the case to her own GP.

Never believed Audrey when she said she made a mistake with the number of pills she had taken. I like it that Corrie is highlighting the loneliness of elderly folk that might have family around them but are still desperately lonely. Hopefully it might encourage some families to take more care of their relatives and make sure they are ok..

Coronation Street has confirmed that Audrey Roberts is ploughing ahead with a big change in her life after 35 years.
Audrey is undeterred in her decision to leave her home on upmarket Grasmere Drive, where she's lived since 1990.
The fan favourite first shared her plans in March this year, vowing to move into the annexe at the Platt house on Coronation Street.
Audrey's grandson David was appalled by the idea and there's been little mention of it since then.
However, with the Platts now back home after the repairs carried out following February's fire, there's an important Audrey update in tonight's episode?
At the salon, Audrey informs Shona Platt that she'll be skipping the family barbecue that she and David have organised to celebrate moving back home.
Audrey explains: "I have had a change of plan. I don't really like barbecues anyway and I don't like the smoke smell that gets in your hair.
"[I'm going to] farewell drinks with my neighbours from Grasmere Drive. So it will be a bit more civilised?."
Later, it's revealed that a new door has been installed in the hallway of the Platt house, allowing Audrey to discreetly come and go into the annexe as she pleases.
David notes: "Gran wanted a front door. I don't know why, but she said it was a deal-breaker."
Nick replies: "A bit of discretion, David. She might have a gentleman caller."
Will Audrey be happy living on the Street, amid the inevitable family dramas that will unfold? Or will she miss her safe haven on Grasmere Drive? Only time will tell...
Audrey's house has featured on screen on Corrie during certain storylines over the years.
One particularly memorable moment aired in 2006, when Fred Elliott sadly died while visiting Audrey on the morning of his wedding to Bev Unwin.
