Gary seems to be the driving force for wanting a baby, for a guy who's had military training, he's always got his hands in his pockets, slouching about, putting Izzy under pressure and expecting everyone to do his bidding. He's really getting on my wick. Tina must be nuts if she goes through with the surragacy just to bail that pratt Tommy out., and as for Tommy he needs to stop taking the stupid pills, perhaps go and shack up with Taceyluv ideal match. Can't see what Tyrone can do if Tommy doesn't pay him ? More what Kirsty will do to 'em both !! As already said by Parkerman & Alan WHY?
Coronation Street's Michelle Keegan has discussed how Tina McIntyre's controversial surrogacy may cause big problems between her and Tommy Duckworth (Chris Fountain).
Tina offers to be a surrogate parent for Gary Windass (Mikey North) and Izzy Armstrong (Cherylee Houston), who are struggling to start a family on their own.
Keegan revealed to What's on TV that Tina wants to help out the couple as she is a "nice person", but "first and foremost, she sees she can make some money out of being a surrogate".
"She needs to get her and Tommy out of debt and this is one way she can do that," Keegan explained
The 25-year-old revealed that Tommy is upset when he finds out, saying: "He obviously thought that if and when Tina was to have a baby it would be theirs."
Keegan argued that Tommy demanding her to choose between him and the baby may backfire.
"It's a dangerous ultimatum to put to Tina," she said. "Wanting the money isn't only about Tommy. She saw her father suffer so badly because of his own financial woes and she sees this as a fresh start. She may well choose the surrogacy over Tommy!"
Off the Street, Keegan is currently rumoured to be dating rugby star Mark Flanagan, after splitting with The Wanted's Max George in July.
Coronation Street star Chris Fountain has opened up about Tina's (Michelle Keegan) surrogacy storyline, hinting that it may not be long before Tommy becomes a parent himself.
The actor said that Tina's decision to have a baby for Izzy (Cherylee Houston) will cause further issues among the already-troubled couple, but he hopes they will stay together and start a family of their own.
Asked by Digital Spy at the TV Choice Awards if he believes Tommy and Tina will end up settling down, Fountain replied: "I'd like to think so. Tommy and Tina has been a very slow, gradual thing. It's been great how they've developed it.
"It's quite difficult for Tommy. If your girlfriend or your wife is going to have a baby for someone else, I think that's always going to be an issue and quite a sensitive subject."
He continued: "I think Tommy would like to become a parent, he's said that to Tina already, but it's just a case of whether she's ready or she's going to do this surrogacy thing. It's a big thing at the moment so I'm not too sure how that's going to go."
Keegan recently suggested that Tina may choose becoming a surrogate over being with Tommy.
Coronation Street's Chesney Brown will discover Katy Armstrong's infidelity just hours after proposing to her, reports have claimed.
Chesney (Sam Aston) surprises Katy by popping the question at the Rovers Return next month, according to the Daily Star.
Unfortunately, things turn sour for Chesney later that day when he discovers that Katy has been cheating on him with bad boy Ryan Connor.
Shocked and furious over the betrayal, Chesney has been tipped to dump Katy and throw her out - refusing to believe her when she insists that her betrayal with Ryan went no further than secret kisses.
Viewers will then be left to wonder whether Chesney and Katy can ever rebuild their relationship for the sake of their baby son Joseph.

A Coronation Street source told the newspaper: "Katy's family are furious because they tried to talk her out of having a baby with Chesney. And now she's cheating on him. It's a real mess."
Georgia May Foote and Sol Heras, who play Katy and Ryan, were recently spotted filming their shock kissing scenes while working out on location.
Coronation Street continues tonight (February 8) at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
Another happy couple bites the dust!
Time for that non entity to be shown the door .... he is a total pain in the butt and his acting skills are in the same place ... I say acting that's pushing it to extremes.
Why would they do that! It makes no sense.
Exactly. We have never seen them together at all. I don't get it.
Coronation Street star Georgia May Foote has spoken about her character's infidelity storyline for the first time, insisting that cheating Katy Armstrong doesn't mean to hurt her boyfriend Chesney Brown.
Last month, it was revealed that Katy will develop an attraction to bad boy Ryan Connor in upcoming episodes, jeopardising her stable family life with Chesney and their baby son Joseph.
While it's unclear how far things will go between Katy and Ryan, recent scenes shot on location saw the pair sharing secret kisses.
Foote told Daybreak this morning (February 13) that the storyline begins when Katy's friends start teasing her for being 'dull'.
She explained: "It's her friend's 18th birthday, so they're having a party. They all keep taking the mick out of her, saying she's sitting at home and she's boring. She just wants to go out and have fun, and then [Ryan] starts making a bit of a move on her!"
Teasing the upcoming heartbreak ahead for Chesney, the actress continued: "Poor Ches! But poor Katy as well - she has been sat at home with the baby while he's been swanning off to the market. I don't think she means to hurt him, it just happens and it's out of her control, really."
Ryan sees Katy in a new light when he agrees to DJ at her friend's party. He then manages to get Katy a job at the kebab shop, where they grow even closer.
Sol Heras, who plays Ryan, said: "He's never really noticed Katy before, and then he sees her dolled up rather than being a stay-at-home mother. It grabs his attention and it goes from there."
Coronation Street continues tonight (February 13) at 7.30pm on ITV.
Coronation Street characters Katy Armstrong and Ryan Connor are shown sharing a kiss in new teaser pictures released by ITV.
Ryan (Sol Heras) sets his sights on teen mum Katy (Georgia May Foote) next week, despite her being in a relationship with Chesney Brown (Sam Aston).

Things heat up between Katy and Ryan
Ryan DJs at the 18th birthday party of one of Katy's friends and later makes his move while they're working in the kebab shop.
Heras said: "Obviously she's got [son] Joseph and she's with Chesney so Ryan's only ever seen her play the mother role but suddenly he sees her dressed up for the first time and out in his environment.
"He realises how pretty she is and what a gorgeous girl she is. He manages to sort it for her to get a job at the kebab shop and yes he probably does have an ulterior motive.

Katy and Ryan can't resist each other this Valentine's

Valentine's shocker as Katy and Ryan get close
"It's one of those classic moments where they both go to pick something up and their eyes just meet.
"They have that couple of seconds look then they both go in for the kiss. For once Ryan isn't the villain, it's very much a mutual thing."
Foote added: "Katy hasn't really had that teenage wild time because she settled down so early with Chesney.
"Her head is really turned by Ryan, she and Chesney have got a bit comfortable and her life is not very exciting. She knows it is wrong but she just can't help herself
...
Does anyone else think Katy is a really bland person? She doesn't seem to have much of a character to her, it's like they brought her in as a vessel simply to move along Chesney's character. Which is probably also why she often seems totally stupid. Who knew that if you had a baby you'd have to spend a lot of time with it alone at home!
maybe owen will batter ryan he needs someone to vent his anger on
Corrie star Georgia May Foote has revealed that her character Katy Armstrong will show a manipulative side when she gets jealous over Ryan Connor.
The pair grow closer in the coming days, but when Katy tries to stay loyal to boyfriend Chesney, a rejected Ryan (Sol Heras) turns his attention to her friend Steph instead.
Unhappy with Ryan's new romance, Katy turns ruthless as she plots to break the pair up.
Foote told Soaplife: "Her friend Steph makes a play for Ryan and Katy gets really, really jealous. She actually goes out of her way to ruin it and try to split them up, which isn't very nice.
"[Ryan's] the kind of person who won't wait around for someone when he can have whoever he wants. When Katy told him they shouldn't be doing this, he said that's fine - then went off with Steph instead. When he realises that Katy's been trying to split them up, he asks her what her problem is.
"She suddenly snaps and tells him why she did it - and this leads to a big kiss. Katy and Chesney never really shared any passionate kisses, it's only ever really been more of a peck. But Katy and Ryan are pretty full-on. It's something she's never experienced before."
As Katy begins to give in to temptation with Ryan, she is completely unaware that Chesney is planning to propose to her.
Asked how Katy would feel if she knew this, Foote replied: "I think she'd be absolutely devastated. Deep down she does love Chesney and knows that she should be staying loyal to him. But she's found in Ryan something she hasn't been getting from Chesney."
Pondering whether Katy would marry Chesney, Foote concluded: "Perhaps before this she would have been ready, but now I think she feels differently. Maybe she needed Ryan to come along to make her realise that she wasn't that happy after all."
Coronation Street airs these scenes on Monday, March 11 at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
Corrie star Georgia May Foote has admitted that fans are "annoyed" with her character Katy Armstrong's recent behaviour.
Katy has found herself tempted by bad boy Ryan Connor (Sol Heras) in recent episodes, and the pair finally embark on a fling next week.
The young mum's relationship with Chesney Brown (Sam Aston) has always seemed stable, but they hit a crisis point in the next fortnight when the truth about Katy's antics comes to light.
Foote told the Yorkshire Evening Post: "The fans have already said they're annoyed about Katy and Ryan's relationship. They weren't too happy with it."
She continued: "There is a reason behind the affair, and that is that Katy is trying to get on with her own life."
The actress added that the storyline has brought the character of Katy into new territory.
Foote said: "It's really strange, it's a completely different storyline for Katy. I think Ryan was just being Ryan at the beginning, but then I think he does genuinely start to get feelings for Katy.
"Katy does like Ryan a little bit, but it's not until it all kicks off really that she falls for him."
Coronation Street continues tonight (February 6) at 7.30pm on ITV.
Can't she just leave Joseph in the house on his own like the other parents do in soapland. I mean you have Nick & leanne working in the bistro on a school night. Also we have three single-mums Fiz, Tracey and Maria who work all day and go to the pub straight after work. Their kids manage to look after themselves.

Coronation Street actress Georgia May Foote is engaged to her long-term boyfriend.
Foote had been spotted wearing a diamond ring in recent weeks, and a spokesperson for the ITV soap has now confirmed her engagement, The Mirror reports.
The spokesperson said: "They got engaged a few weeks ago and are very happy.
"They have no immediate plans to get married."
A source added that Foote is "blissfully happy" following the engagement.
The actress, who plays Katy Armstrong in the soap, is currently at the centre of an affair plot. Viewers have seen Katy become increasingly attracted to Ryan Connor after the pair began working together at the takeaway.
The 22-year-old explained that her fiancé is "protective" of her because of her fame.
"He copes well with my fame," she said. "He is protective when we go out, he keeps an eye out for troublemakers and helps me avoid attention.
"We went to school together, so he's grown up with me doing television. He's not one for red carpets.
"If I was going somewhere and it was VIP, he'd ask, 'Why can't you go in the normal bit?'. He's low-key."
Her on-screen personality will also receive a marriage proposal this week when Chesney proposes, unaware of her infidelity.
On the proposal, Foote said: "I think she just really wants the ground to swallow her up, because she knows deep down that she shouldn't be getting married and she feels awful for what she's done.
"But she feels as though she's got no choice but to say yes because he asks her in front of everybody."

Coronation Street's Sam Aston has revealed that Chesney will struggle to trust Katy (Georgia May Foote) again after he discovers her betrayal.
Chesney is left devastated this week when he discovers his wife's affair with Ryan (Sol Heras).
Speaking to the Radio Times, Aston said: "Because he's from a broken family, he felt like he could rely on Katy. Now all of that has been blown to pieces.
"He's been in a bit of a bubble because everything was just working out for him for once. They have still had their financial problems but he didn't mind because they had each other. And now, all of a sudden, his rock has been taken away from him."
Chesney will stumble upon the truth after Gary (Mikey North) realises that Katy has been unfaithful.
"Whichever way he'd have found out would have been horrible, but at least if she hadn't have lied to him and accepted his proposal he wouldn't have lost all of his pride," Aston added.
Fiz (Jennie McAlpine) will try to reason with Chesney and persuade him to give Katy another chance.
"He thinks she's unbelievable for even asking. They were supposed to be a tight team. She's done the ultimate betrayal in his mind," Aston said.
"In his mind, there's no taking her back at all. Maybe in the distant future when he realises how much he misses her and needs her he might start to listen. But right now, he's having none of it."
Coronation Street's Chesney Brown is left devastated in tomorrow night's double bill (March 15) as he discovers that his girlfriend Katy Armstrong has betrayed him.
Chesney is currently on a high after Katy (Georgia May Foote) agreed to marry him, but he's not smiling for long when her fling with Ryan Connor comes to light thanks to an indiscreet Gary Windass.
We recently chatted to Sam Aston, who plays Chesney, to hear about his character's heartbreak and where things are heading next.
Have you enjoyed filming this new storyline for Chesney and Katy?
"Definitely. It's always nice to get a big storyline that you can sink your teeth into. I feel quite lucky, because all of my storylines have taken me down different paths and routes. Once again, this is something completely different for Chesney - it's not something that he's been through before. It's been challenging but I've really, really enjoyed it.
"I also didn't think this storyline would run for as long as it has done. I thought it would just be a quick storyline, but it's on screen at the moment and we're still filming it now. It's nice that it runs on for quite a bit."
We've usually seen Chesney and Katy as a happy couple. Have you been sad to see them run into trouble?
"Yeah - it's still weird now! At the moment, we're filming scenes where Chesney and Katy are trying to make things up but they're not together. That's a bit strange, because Georgia's been here for over two years now, and I started working with her pretty much as soon as she stepped foot on the cobbles.
"It's really weird for us to be apart now, because we've done so many scenes together. We're good friends on set and it feels weird to not be working as much with her."
Do you think Chesney is partly to blame for the problems in the relationship?
"Definitely, although I think he means well. He's not nasty to Katy - she means so much to him and he'd do anything for her. I just think he gets so wound up with money issues, and problems that someone of his age wouldn't normally have.
"I think that's taken a toll on the relationship in general, because Chesney hasn't been giving Katy the time and attention that she needs. Even just the little things - you don't really see Chesney buying Katy any cute presents, or trying to take her out for dates. They're both usually just concerned over whether they can pay the next bill and look after Joseph properly."
What is Chesney's initial reaction when he finds out about Katy's fling?
"His reaction is not good at all! The fling between Katy and Ryan never really gets too far, as the truth comes out before it can really go anywhere. If that hadn't happened, they probably would have gone all the way and slept together.
"Katy and Ryan have only been kissing, so a lot of people might think that Chesney overreacts to it, but it goes against everything that he stands for. Chesney comes from a broken family, so this is the one situation that he never wanted to be involved in.
"Chesney feels so let down, because he never thought that Katy would do this. So you'll see that his reaction is pretty drastic - he kicks her out!"
Katy wants another chance from Chesney, and Fiz also thinks they should sort things out. Does Chesney consider forgiving and forgetting?
"He tries! This is what we're filming at the moment, really. They get to a point where they're trying, but Chesney just can't seem to forget what Katy has done. He can't just rush into a reunion and pretend that nothing's happened. It's still very, very fresh in his mind and at the minute he can't look at Katy in the same way."
What advice would you give to Chesney if he was a friend of yours?
"I'd probably say that he should give Katy another chance, especially because she realises that what she's done is wrong. You'll see that Katy misses Chesney a lot, and it's clear that he misses her.
"I'd say give it another shot, because they've got so much at stake with baby Joseph to think about. I think it'll be sad if something quite small ended up blowing their family life apart for good. It's tough, though. I know that if I was in Chesney's situation, I'd be pretty annoyed!"
Corrie are bringing in Beth Tinker's niece Sinead as a love interest for Chesney. Are you excited about this possible new romance?
"Yeah, Sinead is a very different character and I think her and Chesney would be quite well-suited. At the same time, I think Chesney's heart will always belong to Katy! But that might just be my own personal take on it rather than the way the story is going!
"We've been filming some nice scenes between Chesney and Sinead and it'll be interesting to see what happens."
Have you been helping Katie McGlynn, who plays Sinead, to settle in?
"Yeah, I've been showing her around the set. Katie knows what she's doing anyway - she knows how it works because she was on Waterloo Road before this. But she was a bit lost on the first day, so I tried to be as helpful as possible!"
Do you think Chesney will start supporting Fiz and Tyrone a bit more?
"Of course he will, but at the moment he's just got too much on his mind. With the trial coming up, I think Chesney will try to be there for Fiz more so than Tyrone. In the end, Chesney will probably see that Fiz has found someone good. He knows that Tyrone is decent, so hopefully he'll support the relationship."
You've been on Corrie for nearly ten years now. Do you still enjoy it as much as when you first started?
"Absolutely. I've loved the time that I've spent here. Ten years is a pretty long time, but there's just something about Corrie. In my time here, I've been lucky enough to continue getting storylines. Like I said earlier, those storylines have all been quite different, so I feel very lucky.
"I do love it here and I'll stay for as long as they'll keep me - definitely for the foreseeable future. I've had a great time here, a great childhood."
Do you get much of a reaction from viewers when you're out and about?
"I do, actually! I'm quite lucky with the reactions, because I play a character who people feel sorry for nine times out of ten. When people see me they usually say, 'It'll be alright, Ches!' - because there's always something going on in his life! There's always something getting him down!
"People are usually pretty decent with me. I'm not sure if it's because of the red hair, but I seem to be pretty recognisable, and people will shout from across the street as if they know you! Because Corrie is a programme that's about real life and it's on all the time, people just seem to think that they're one of your mates! I've had people coming up to me who think I'm their neighbour - it's mad!"
Have you enjoyed working with your on-screen baby over the past year or so?
"I have, but it can be hard because I don't always see the babies all the time. We have twins playing Joseph and they're lovely - two of the cutest babies. But I don't think they're used to me - I think they're more used to Georgia! I definitely think they're mummy's boys, because they don't always want to come to me!
"We're just doing scenes at the moment where I've not seen Joseph for a couple of weeks, but when I've tried to hold him, he's started crying!"
Are you similar to Chesney in real life?
"I think I'm different to Chesney. I don't have a son, for one! We're living completely different lives. Although Chesney is a real family-orientated person, and I am too. We're similar in that way, but I'd say not in others because Chesney has been through a lot and luckily enough I haven't!"
Would you like to see Chesney's mum Cilla make a return to the cobbles?
"I think it would be nice! After everything Chesney has been through and as much as he says that he doesn't like Cilla, he does love her. We still have scenes which mention Cilla, when it's her birthday or things like that. I think you can see in those scenes that Chesney actually misses her. Cilla was a fantastic character so it would be great to see her back
Coronation Street star Sam Aston has spoken about his character's new romance storyline for the first time.
Sinead Tinker has been brought into the soap as a love interest for young dad Chesney Brown, and she quickly catches his eye when she arrives in Weatherfield this spring.
Speaking to Digital Spy, Aston said: "Sinead is a very different character and I think her and Chesney would be quite well-suited.
"We've been filming some nice scenes between Chesney and Sinead and it'll be interesting to see what happens."
However, Aston also hinted that, despite Chesney starting up a new relationship, he believes his alter ego will always love Katy.
"I think Chesney's heart will always belong to Katy! But that might just be my own personal take on it rather than the way the story is going!"
Aston also admitted that he helped Katie McGlynn, who will be playing Sinead, find her feet on her first day on set.
"I've been showing her around the set. Katie knows what she's doing anyway - she knows how it works because she was on Waterloo Road before this. But she was a bit lost on the first day, so I tried to be as helpful as possible!"

I hope he doesn't forgive her!
Does she and Joseph move in with Anna so or will Ches keep Joseph?
Corrie's Katy Armstrong faces a tough battle to win back Chesney Brown over the next few weeks in the aftermath of her fling with Ryan Connor.
Katy was kicked out by a devastated Chesney (Sam Aston) earlier this month, and things are unlikely to get back to normal anytime soon as she struggles to earn her ex-partner's forgiveness in upcoming episodes.
Digital Spy recently caught up with Georgia May Foote, who plays Katy, to hear about the future of the storyline and the introduction of Chesney's new love interest Sinead.
What has the Katy, Ryan and Chesney storyline been like to film?
"I've been really busy working on the storyline, but I've absolutely loved it. It's been a big challenge for me because it's the biggest storyline that I've done so far, but I've really enjoyed that."
Are you still filming the fallout from the storyline?
"We are - the story is still going on, because as you've seen recently, Katy and Ches aren't together at the moment. The story is going to concentrate on them and whether they can get back together.
"Obviously Chesney isn't going to forgive Katy straight away, so this story will be one that goes on for quite a while, I think."
Is there part of you that's been sad to see Katy and Chesney split up?
"A little part, yeah. Sam is such a good friend of mine, so it's been strange not to work with him as much. But at the same time it's also good, because if couples in the show always stayed together, I think people would soon get bored watching Corrie! I think it's nice to have a little bit of a mix-up every now and again."
What were Katy and Chesney's recent break-up scenes like to film?
"They were exhausting! It can be hard work to make yourself cry and then keep crying for hours and hours. We did more or less all of those break-up scenes in the house on the same day, so it was about five or six scenes of us constantly crying! But we got through it in the end and we had a really good director, which always helps."
What kind of response will Katy get from Chesney when she's trying to get back with him?
"I think Chesney wants to get back with Katy, too. Deep down he never wanted to break up with her in the first place, and it wasn't his fault that this situation happened. I think Chesney was quite happy just going along as they were.
"But now it's going to take quite a while for Chesney to be able to trust Katy again. Katy has crossed a line, so it'll take a lot for him to forgive her."
Does Katy still love Chesney, or is she mainly concerned with getting the family back together for Joseph's sake?
"I think it's a bit of both, really. As she's realising the consequences of what she's done, Katy can see that it's going to affect Joseph more than anyone else. That's one of the things that Katy is considering, but deep down she does love Chesney too."
Can you understand why Katy was tempted by someone else?
"I can, yes. Katy has been with Chesney since quite a young age, so he's all she ever knew. When someone else shows her a bit of attention, you have to remember that she's been stuck in the house all day and isn't really being appreciated by Chesney as he's always at the market.
"I can see why it happened, but I don't think it was ever the case that Katy did it on purpose. It's clearly something that just happened and was blown out of proportion."
You're on Twitter, so what kind of a reaction have you seen to the storyline?
"It's been a bit of a mixed bag, really. There's probably been a few more people saying, 'How could you do that to poor Chesney?' and 'Team Chesney!' But there's also been a few people saying, 'Oh leave her alone, she's obviously struggling'. I think it's 60-40, on Chesney's side!"
Does Katy regret settling down and having a baby so young?
"I don't think she regrets it - it's just that she had no idea how hard it would be. She thought she'd have a baby and everything would be fine, but with all of her friends going out and having fun, it's made her realise that she's missing out on a lot of stuff."
Corrie are bringing in Beth Tinker's niece Sinead as a possible new love interest for Chesney. Will Katy get jealous?
"Yeah, we've already done some scenes where Katy is very jealous over that! We'll have to wait and see what happens, as I don't know how far things are going to go between Ches and Sinead. That's Sam's little storyline - he doesn't know what I've been up to, and I don't know what he's up to now! It's funny as there are some scenes coming up in the Bistro with the three of us, and I think it's going to be a good story."
Waterloo Road star Katie McGlynn is playing Sinead. Have you had a chance to get to know her?
"Yeah, I've met Katie a few times now since she's been in. She seems really lovely. It can be a bit daunting when you join this show, so me and Sam have been showing her around and spending time with her."
Will Katy and Ryan continue to have a connection?
"I think so - I think there'll always be that spark there between them. Even if they decide never to speak to each other again, I think there'll always be those awkward moments. I don't know whether it's over, but even if it is, there'll always be something there!"
Would you like Katy to get up to even more mischief?
"Definitely, as I love playing those scenes. It's been really fun having scenes where Katy is drunk and just doing some different things, rather than walking around with the pram!"
How do you feel about being nominated for 'Sexiest Female' at the British Soap Awards?
"I'm really excited about it. I've always watched the Soap Awards from being a kid, so the thought of even being nominated for a prize is lovely. I feel like I'm finally part of the Street now, so it's very flattering."
Do you think Corrie is in with a good chance on the night?
"I think so. There's been a lot of really good acting in Corrie, especially in the past couple of years. We've had all the stuff recently with the Rovers fire, and a lot of drama with the Barlows and everyone else. There have been really good storylines so I do think we deserve some prizes. Fingers crossed!"
Coronation Street continues on Sunday (March 24) at 7pm on ITV.
