I hope Gazza is on the road to recovery if he does appear on the show they will have to have a ban on alcohol for all celebs.
I was just thinking what would the producers do if they were to give the contestants alcohol as a reward. Then again I'm sure they can go without alcohol for a couple of weeks.
I can't believe people have signed and it's been released that they're taking part when the series doesn't start until November.
Still say the should save money and change locations from Australia to one or the remote Scottish Islands in the middle of winter camping. Oh Joy.
Where's the fun in watching them moan about how cold it is? Why not just scare the hell out of them with witchety grubs, snakes, rats and so on :p
It would be a laugh watching them trying to pitch a tent in the blustering wind and rain and they could eat tripe (sheep's belly) haggis (sheep's intenstine's) and black pudding (you don't want to know) washed down with Irn Bru. Talking of which has anyone see the latest advert. Brilliant they do a HSM version and their description of Irn Bru is. "It's Ginger, it's fizzy it's phenomanal" Classic :rotfl:
ITV producers are targeting actor Brian Blessed for the next series of I'm A Celebrity..., say reports.
According to The Sun, the 71-year-old turned down the chance to appear on Hell's Kitchen, but bosses are hopeful that he will enter the jungle later this year.
"Can you imagine Brian in the jungle? He would be TV gold," said a source. "We have approached him and really hope he'll join us."
Blessed, who has appeared on shows such as Blake's 7, Z-Cars and Doctor Who, has also explored jungles in Venezuela, trekked to the North Pole and attempted to climb Mount Everest three times.
Last month, former England footballer Paul 'Gazza' Gascoigne was also linked to the ITV1 reality show.
FOOTBALL legend Paul Gascoigne has been axed from I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! after ITV bosses declared he was “mentally unfit”.
Gazza’s latest blow comes after his new girlfriend revealed he had called her during a massive booze bender and said: “I’m going to kill myself.”
The 42-year-old alcoholic had signed a big-money deal last month to go on I’m A Celeb. But a source said bosses got cold feet following Susan Boyle’s meltdown over Britain’s Got Talent.
The insider added: “Paul Gascoigne was given a psychiatric test to see how he was, but he failed it. It was such a shame considering bosses had been trying to get him on the show for years.
However they realised it was just too much of a risk for him to enter the jungle and be under such intense public scrutiny.”
ITV chiefs are now talking to other ex-footballers to take Gazza’s place in the Aussie jungle in November. He is set to be devastated by the U-turn.
The former England ace said recently: “I’ve always wanted to do I’m A Celeb. I can’t wait.”
But the fallen idol’s girlfriend Emma Kate Dawson, 21, believes Gazza needs help, not publicity. She said he rang her on Wednesday after an all-day booze binge saying he had a knife and wanted to kill himself.
She begged him to reveal his location before Gazza chillingly whispered: “I'm going to do something stupid. I know it.”
Sobbing Emma then spent two hours phoning London hotels in a bid to find him — unaware he had caught a train from the capital to Newcastle.
Yesterday The Sun showed pictures of Gazza — so drunk he could barely walk — being helped off the train by pal Jimmy “Five Bellies” Gardener.
Last night Emma told The Sun: “I don’t believe he actually wants to die, he’s just crying out for help. Enough is enough. He needs sectioning again before it’s too late.”
EastEnders star Kara Tointon is being lined up for the next series of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, according to a report.
The actress, best known for her role as Walford's Dawn Swann, was axed from the BBC One soap in March this year. She will film her final scenes later this summer.
Tointon is now said to be keen to take part in ITV1's Celebrity following encouragement from her boyfriend Joe Swash, who won last year's series.
A show insider told the Daily Star: "She's already got a huge fanbase who will love to be able to watch her out of character and being herself in the jungle camp.
"Kara's known for being really sweet and game for a laugh so we think she would be perfect on the show. She's a girly girl and will no doubt struggle with all the creepy-crawlies, but most of the celebrities on the show say that to begin with."
Tointon has also been linked to the forthcoming seventh series of Strictly Come Dancing, which begins in the autumn.
I'M A Celeb bosses are hunting for new presenters for the Get Me Out of Here Now! spin-off after "losing" the usual trio of hosts.
Married couple Matt Willis and Emma Griffiths are stepping down - while Mark Durden-Smith has been axed.
Ex-model Emma, 33, and Matt, 26, fronted the ITV2 show live from Australia for two years.
But they are expecting their first child next week and no longer want to travel.
A Get Me Out Of Here Now! spokesman said: "Matt and Emma will be new parents and won't be going so viewers can expect some exciting new changes." The show's UK-based host Mark Durden-Smith, 40, is out of a job as part of the overhaul.
The source said: "With Matt and Emma going it's a chance to rip up the format and start again. Mark understands and has done a good job over the years."
New faces are now being sought for the spin-off, which airs nightly after the main ITV1 show. Ex-GMTV face Michael Underwood and his girlfriend Angellica Bell are in the frame.
Last year's stars David Van Day and Timmy Mallett have also been punted as a great comedy duo - provided they are banned from singing.
I'm A Celeb...kicks off in November for three weeks.

Thank god Mark has been sacked. He does my nut in. He's so unfunny.
