Emmerdale's April Windsor leaves her family worried next week as she refuses to acknowledge any grief for her daughter.
The struggling teenager is being supported by her dad Marlon and stepmum Rhona following her traumatic time living on the streets.
April ran away from home at Christmas after facing various family troubles, including a heated row with Marlon which proved to be the final straw.
A special flashback episode this week revealed that April was pregnant when she left the village. After several weeks sleeping rough, April tragically suffered a stillbirth in a public toilet.
Friday's episode saw April speak to Ross Barton about the tragedy, insisting that she never wanted the baby. She has told Ross and Marlon that the father was a random lad she met at a party last year.
In follow-on scenes next week, Marlon and Rhona fear they're not properly getting through to April.
The concerned couple ask family member Lydia Dingle to step in, aware that she had a similar experience when she was 15.
Agreeing to help, Lydia puts her own pain aside and opens up to April about the trauma she faced at the time.
Once April is back at home, Marlon and Rhona suggest that they should all visit her daughter in the chapel of rest.
April agrees but becomes overwhelmed and rushes off when she sees the small coffin. Marlon stays and says some emotional parting words to his granddaughter.
Later, Marlon and Rhona make another attempt to get through to April, but they're troubled by how indifferent she seems after their emotional day.
Is April covering her true feelings ? and will she ever confide in Marlon and Rhona like she has done with Ross?

Emmerdale is about to air the first major betrayal in the Anthony Fox death cover-up storyline.
Six village favourites are currently united in a pact of silence after Anthony was killed last month, but can they really trust each other?
In late January, Ruby Fox-Miligan murdered her abusive father and turned to her husband Caleb for support in the immediate aftermath.
Anthony's body was disposed of by John Sugden, who'd wrongly believed that his boyfriend Aaron Dingle had committed the crime.
Once all four were finally in the picture over exactly what had happened, Chas and Cain Dingle both became involved next. The loyal siblings agreed to protect their family members by keeping quiet about what they knew.
In Thursday's episode, everything changes as suspicion falls on Cain in the case.
Cain is arrested and taken down to the police station for questioning, as the local force is now suspicious over Anthony's disappearance.
Concerns are growing for Anthony after he failed to show up for important hospital appointments. Anthony had been diagnosed with a terminal illness in the months before the murder.
Cain is linked to the case as his garage was used to dismantle Anthony's car and he has already given the police a false story to explain this.
Sadly for Cain, this has only caused suspicion to fall on him now that the police are fearing foul play.
Cain's predicament is thrilling news for Caleb, who has just found out about his brother betraying him by sleeping with Ruby.
Determined to get Cain out of the picture ? especially if it means protecting Ruby ? ruthless Caleb plants Anthony's missing gold tooth in Cain's car for the police to find.
Are the six co-conspirators about to tear themselves apart?
