Hopefully this will explain things. Rose and Xander share the same mother, whereas Jasmine and Xander shared the same father, who got together with Rose's mother after Rose was born (or when she was pregnant with Rose?) ie he wasn't Rose's biological father.

Thanks for that clarification, makes sense now 😊. I totally didn't know that fact.
