Piper and Tyler's friendship continues to grow. She urges him to attend Steph's singles night to get material for her blog. He initially refuses but is talked into it after Brad and Josh invite him along.
In the end, Tyler decides to leave early and Piper comes over to hang out. After Tyler praises Piper's intelligence and warmth, the pair share a kiss.

Meanwhile, things get awkward when Brad, Lauren and Terese all end up at the singles night together. Eventually everyone goes their separate ways, but Lauren admits that she was jealous seeing Brad and Terese together - she badly misses him.
Elsewhere, Aaron discovers a distraught Nate, who tells him about Dimato. Aaron tracks down the injured Dimato, who demands medical attention or he will go to the police. Aaron enlists help from Karl, who reluctantly treats Dimato. Karl tells Nate that he should confess completely and Nate promises to think about it. Dimato worries about whether Karl will involve the police and gets an associate to make a threat against Susan.

Nate is shocked to learn that Dimato has threatened to harm the Kennedys if Karl speaks out about Michelle's abuse. Nate thinks the best course of action is to keep quiet, but Karl believes they must report the matter to the police. Nate strongly disagrees. He's seen first hand what Dimato is capable of doing and doesn't believe the police will be able to protect them.
Unable to reach a compromise, Nate comes to the conclusion that there's only one thing he can possibly do to ensure the Kennedys' safety...
Meanwhile, Piper and Tyler's tryst is interrupted when Brad unexpectedly arrives home. Piper manages to slip out the back door before they can be discovered, but for Tyler, the incident is way too close for comfort.
Elsewhere, Daniel asks Imogen to help him with an anomaly he has discovered in the hotel records. It appears that the hotel's occupancy rates are higher than the number of available rooms. Imogen jokes that someone could be laundering money, but Daniel takes her seriously and is willing to take unethical measures to find the answers.

It's the day that the council decide on Bossy's future. Kyle is overjoyed when the council agree to let Bossy return home - but only if all the other tenants at Number 26 agree. Sheila is all for it and Kyle assures her that Amy will be too. However, Amy actually says no - reminding him that Jimmy's safety comes first.
When Kyle protests that Bossy could be put down if Amy doesn't change her mind, she seeks guidance from Steph. Steph urges Amy to trust in Kyle, but will she listen?
Meanwhile, Daniel is forced to explain his grand plan to Terese - he is working at Lassiters to win back Paul's empire. He suspected the Quill group had been laundering money through the hotel and he wanted proof. Terese sets him straight, leaving Daniel certain that he's about to be fired. Will Daniel be forced to face the music?
Elsewhere, Steph offers to fill Nate's shoes at The Waterhole, but Sheila is miffed when she sees that the patrons love having her back in charge.
Also today, Josh is stunned to learn that Piper and Tyler have kissed. When he and Aaron witness a blow-up between the pair, Josh goes into protective mode and warns Tyler to stay away. Tyler is quick to point out that Piper chased him and he's not the oldest guy she's dated.

Sonya proposes to Toadie that they should see a counsellor and he agrees. However, the day takes a turn when Steph receives a surprise video call from Max's new wife Philippa, informing her that she is thinking of adopting Charlie.
Steph draws Toadie in for desperate moral support. He has to be at his appointment with Sonya, but Steph is begging him to stay. Who will he choose?
Meanwhile, Amy confronts Kyle after learning that Bossy has struck again by biting him. Kyle is forced to reveal the devastating news that Bossy has a brain tumour. They can't afford the operation so she'll have to be put down. Jimmy pleads for them to find the money somehow, but will Kyle be forced to say goodbye to his loyal friend?
Elsewhere, Karl and Susan take the opportunity of an empty house for some private time - which poor Aaron interrupts. He's mortified!

A mysterious young woman called Xanthe arrives in Ramsay Street and tries to swindle a free meal from Sheila at The Waterhole by claiming to find a hair in her burger. When Sheila won't budge, Xanthe makes a run for it and Kyle is forced to block the exit. Mark is called in, but when Xanthe tells him a sob story, he lets her off with a warning.
Sheila feels short changed, but is later surprised when Xanthe sneaks into her back yard. Convinced the visit is about revenge, Sheila turns the garden hose on Xanthe, demanding to know why she is trespassing. A spluttering Xanthe reveals she's looking for Gary Canning - she's his daughter.

Meanwhile, Imogen reassures a nervous and excited Mark that everything will go smoothly with the house settlement, but a chance encounter with Daniel at the cafe leads to her fumbling the paperwork and losing Mark's bank cheque. When Daniel finds it, an overjoyed Imogen kisses him and tells him she loves him. Later, she denies the moment to Piper and refuses to admit she's still hot for Daniel. When Piper persists in teasing her, Imogen attempts to prove it by asking Tyler out on a date.
Elsewhere, Max's new wife Philippa won't budge on her plans to adopt Charlie. Steph is touched when Sonya and Toadie add a picture of Charlie to the mantle full of family snap shots. They insist they will fight to the end for her right to be a mother to Charlie.
