Round-up:
Debbie, Pete and Finn track Ross down to the venue for the bare-knuckle fight and are shocked to learn that Zak has pawned all Lisa’s jewellery to bet on him winning. As the fight gets under way, it looks as if Ross is getting a pasting, but then Debbie notices an exchange between him and Charlie and realises that there is more going on than meets the eye. Betty’s farewell party is being held in the Woolpack but the guest of honour seems to have gone missing. Concern grows as the villagers wonder if her new mystery man is just after her money – after all, she has only just met him. Laurel eventually finds her and Betty sails out of Emmerdale in an enormous limo, leaving everyone astounded. Bob is giving Brenda the silent treatment over her attitude to Carly. Brenda relents when Carly tells her that her grandad has put up the money to buy the shop – but is David prepared to sell? To stop Andy thinking that she is after him, Bernice invents an imaginary boyfriend. Jai has Rachel right where he wants her and when he finds out about Archie’s accident he threatens her with court. A scuffle ensues when the police arrive and Rachel is arrested for pushing one of the officers. Vanessa has the morning sickness and Paddy realises the truth. Concerned that the news is spreading, Vanessa and Kirin decide to tell Rakesh everything. Rakesh is furious and tells Vanessa that he is not having his son’s life ruined so early on and insists that she have a termination. After Vanessa decides that it is time she found out who the father is, all hell breaks loose.
