Monday
Peter is back in Walford, but it's clear that a lot has changed in his absence. He's confused about why Lucy is now running the café, so Ian is forced to tell his son about everything that happened while he was away. Later, when Peter catches up with his old friends at The Vic, it's clear that there are more changes as Lauren doesn't seem to be part of the gang anymore. When Lauren does turn up, Peter is pleased to see her and they share a hug. As Joey watches on, Lucy fills him in on their past relationship.
As the day continues, Peter helps his father out at the restaurant. While he's there, Ian tells Peter to ignore Lucy's fears about the businesses, implying that she was only looking after herself when she took control. Peter then vows that he will help Ian get everything back. When Peter next sees Lucy, he tells her that she was wrong to take over Ian's affairs, but Lucy points out that he has no idea of what really happened. Not long afterwards, Max bumps into Peter and tells him to stay away from Lauren. Peter then reluctantly answers a call on his mobile and tells the caller to leave him alone. What is he hiding?
Tanya and Max realise Lauren has a serious problem
Meanwhile, Tanya and Max are stunned over the extent of Lauren's alcohol problem. Max can't resist pointing the finger at Tanya, asking how she could have remained oblivious to what was going on in her own house. Later, Lauren heads to The Vic and swipes a bottle of wine from a table. When Dot sees Lauren, she immediately realises the teen is drunk and orders her home. Tanya is at her wits' end when Lauren shows up in a state, so she takes drastic action - putting locks on the doors so that Lauren is unable to leave.
Elsewhere, Dot is disappointed when she hears that she hasn't got the church warden job. However, when Reverend Stevens sees Dot dealing with the Lauren situation so well, he changes his mind and offers her the job. Dot is pleased, but can't help feeling apprehensive when she learns that her first job is to raise £15,000 to fix the church roof.
Also today, Michael pulls Janine's house apart for clues as to where she has gone with Scarlett, while Sam offers to still buy the car if it's fixed up again - but Dexter wants him to leave as soon as the job is finished.
Tuesday
Michael is still determined to get Scarlett back and consults his solicitor to see whether Janine can be charged with abduction. However, when Alice finds Janine and Scarlett's passports, it scuppers Michael's plans as the solicitor explains that Janine can't be charged with abduction if she's not abroad.
Michael kisses Alice.
Later, Alice goes to comfort Michael when Kat tells her that he is drowning his sorrows at The Vic. However, when Alice takes Michael's hand, he rejects her. Back at the house, Alice tells Michael that she knows he is lashing out because there's nothing left for him to control. Michael then decides to take control and kisses Alice before leading her upstairs…
Meanwhile, Tanya reads an alcohol addiction leaflet that Cora has given her. However, she remains in denial as she still doesn't think that Lauren has a serious problem. With Lauren still under 'house arrest', Tanya puts Abi in charge while she goes to work - instructing her not to let Lauren out or anyone in. However, when Peter comes over with some lunch, Abi ignores her mum's warning and lets him in. When Tanya returns later, she knows that Lauren has been drinking. With Lauren smugly drinking from a bottle, she tells her mum that she's been drinking from it all day and it isn't water. A devastated Tanya is finally forced to admit to Cora that Lauren is an alcoholic.
Elsewhere, Lucy refuses when Peter asks if he can run the chip shop. However, Lucy is soon left jealous when Ian offers Peter a job at the restaurant. Not wanting to be left out, Lucy offers Peter the fruit and veg stall to look after until he's proved himself. Peter takes up Lucy's offer to keep the peace, but it's clear that the competition for Peter's love has begun.
Also today, Carol tells Bianca that she thinks she is going through the menopause, Sharon offers to host a fundraising event at R&R to help come up with the cash Dot needs, while Bianca is stunned when Carol tells her about the letter she received from David a while ago.
Thursday
Lauren begins to show signs of withdrawal symptoms as she hasn't had a drink. Desperate to get her hands on booze but unable to leave the house, Lauren calls out to Whitney from her bedroom window. However, Whitney has already been filled in on the situation by Tanya and refuses to co-operate. Feeling desperate, a furious Lauren then tells Tanya that she's going to make her life hell.
Lauren escapes through her bedroom window.
Later, Lauren begs Tanya to get her some alcohol so that she feels better, but Tanya refuses to back down. Lauren then grabs Tanya's keys and tries to escape, but her hands are shaking so much that she can't open the door quickly enough. With her plan thwarted, Lauren heads back to her room and attempts to escape the house from her window, leaving Tanya horrified. Lauren struggles and slips in her desperate state, but Max runs over and gets her to safety. Tanya rushes out to her daughter, but Lauren tells them that she would rather be dead than locked in. As Lauren runs off, Tanya stops Max from going after her, knowing that they've already lost her…
Meanwhile, Michael regrets the night that he spent with Alice and can't get away from her quickly enough. Pleased to have lost her virginity, Alice tells Kat that she's having her new man over tonight, although she fails to disclose his identity. When Kat mentions this to Michael, he realises that he'll have to tell Alice that he isn't interested. When Michael arrives home, Alice goes to kiss him but he pulls away and cruelly tells her that he was just using her for sex.
Elsewhere, Lucy is determined to get to the bottom of the financial mess and looks through Ian's paperwork. In doing so, she finds Derek's box with a letter addressed to Carol from David. Later in The Vic, Lucy casually asks Bianca if she speaks to her dad. Bianca tells Lucy that David did write to Carol a while back, but by the time she got the letter, it was too late and if he really wanted to get in touch he would have contacted them again. Back at home, Lucy pockets the letter - but will she give it to Carol?
Also today, Kirsty tries to seduce Max in the hope of getting pregnant but has to back off when he brings up Lauren's problems, Dexter seems disappointed when Sam tells him that he won't be working in the area again, Phil is annoyed that Sharon is arranging the fundraising event against his wishes, while Carol tells Masood that she is going through the menopause.
Friday
Lauren pushes Tanya and the family to breaking point, but will she crack?
Meanwhile, when Peter tells Lucy to give Ian a break, she shows him the letter that Ian has been hiding. Peter defends their dad by saying that he must have picked it up by accident. He then calls a meeting with Lucy and Ian, urging them to stop making him choose between them. Later, Peter decides to do the right thing and hands Bianca the letter, telling her to pass it on to Carol. Bianca is shocked when she realises that it's from David.
Elsewhere, when Phil sees that the R&R is a state, he tells Sharon that he knew she couldn't handle looking after the club alongside an extra event. Later, Sharon admits defeat and tells Dot that the fundraiser is too much for her. A friendly Dot says that she'll hold the event somewhere else and the main thing is that Sharon is well.
Also today, Kat is disgusted when Alice accidentally reveals that it was Michael who she slept with. Kat immediately confronts Michael about his poor treatment of Alice. Knowing he shouldn't have done it and hating himself, Michael decides to tell Joey what happened, wanting a reaction. Joey is quick to provide one as he punches Michael to the floor.

Jacqueline's stunt double watches on.
Jacqueline Jossa, who plays Lauren, enjoyed the challenge of filming the tense scenes.
She said: "I thought I was going to be more scared than I actually was! I watched the stuntwoman perform it and then I had a go. I felt really comfortable, but I was a bit worried about Jake not catching me at the bottom!
"It took a while to perform and film the stunt as it needed careful planning. I was in the harness a lot longer than I thought I would be, however it was really exciting to be performing my own stunt.
"I felt great afterwards, but it did take a lot of energy to do and my arms were aching the next day. I enjoyed the whole process and would love to take part in another stunt again."
