Viewers may already know that Chas announces Dan as her new boyfriend after they spend the night together later this week, but it's now clear that things will soon be going much further for the unlikely couple.
Chas (Lucy Pargeter) is determined to move on following her recent split from Cameron Murray (Dominic Power) - especially after the love rat declares that he still has feelings for her.
After rejecting Cameron at the end of next week, a troubled Chas proposes to Dan (Liam Fox) - desperate for an escape from the dramas of her previous relationship.
A proud and sceptical Dan turns down the proposal when Chas can't bring herself to say that she loves him, not wanting another doomed romance in his future after his experience with Ali.
The next day, however, Chas blurts out to Dan that she does truly love him - which results in him making a public proposal at The Woolpack!
When Chas accepts in front of the shocked punters, she's determined to show that it's the right decision - but is she just making things much worse for herself?
Emmerdale airs these scenes on Thursday, August 23 and Friday, August 24 on ITV1.

Emmerdale's Chas Dingle hopes that she is embarking on a happy new chapter of her life this evening (August 24) as she commits to a future with Dan Spencer.
As news spreads through the village that Dan turned down a marriage proposal from Chas (Lucy Pargeter), he begins to wonder whether he did the right thing as everyone seems to think he must be crazy. At the same time, Chas considers whether she could be happy with Dan.
Later, Chas bites the bullet and finally tells Dan (Liam Fox) that she does love him, as he makes her feel safe and secure. Stunned to hear that Chas feels so strongly for him, Dan is left to ponder his next move.
Soon afterwards, Dan arrives at The Woolpack and proposes to Chas in front of everyone. As Chas delightedly accepts, she tries to convince herself that she's doing the right thing…
