oooooo well done, I have my final drama assesment next tuesday
Oooh good luck Abbie, i'm sure you'll do well. I've finished my GCSE Drama course completely now, we've done everything so we're just spending our lessons chatting and revising for other subjects.
Thanks Sam, and congrats Leanne, too.
So Sam, do you know which you got a D on and which a C (Chemistry/Physics I mean)? I think the first one listed on the program that had our results on it was Chemistry.
Well done on your Drama, Davey, but please stop talking about the French oral, because you're making me nervous already and I've still got a year! :)
Just joking - let us know how it goes.
Good luck as well, Abbie!
Dave that is really good
and Im guessing I got the d in Physics as that is the one I feel I did the worst in, but im not sure what order is as it was Leigh he told me, as sir wouldnt answer me lol
I'd think it was the other way round. Both times I thought I did best in one, but did better in the other.
I had my French oral exam today, i was quite pleased over how I did. I made a few mistakes on the role plays i did, and i said "yes" in English instead of "Oui" at one point, but apart from that, i did ok. My French teacher at the end of the exam said i did well, apart from the few mistakes i made here and there, so overall i think i did ok! :D
I'm not surprised, Dave. Orals = a load of pressure, so I can't imagine what it must be like in French. Well done.
well done davey :) Its scary isnt it, I was so glad when mine was over
Yeah i was quite nervous just before the exam, but as i got in there, i kinda forgot about my nerves as i began speaking, and i just went for it. I'm so glad mine is out the way now too!
Now we just have all the written ones to do
Yep, i only have Reading and Listening left to do. Quite confident about Listening, but not Reading really, as my teacher put me in for higher and i got a D in higher for my mock.
Im the other way around, better at reading than listening
Well done, Davey!
I had my French mock yesterday. I did get quite panicked for a bit because I was being told that we were going to have to do an oral, even though we hadn't been told this so hadn't had a chance to prepare, but, thankfully, that wasn't true.
We only had to do the foundation, because we've changed teachers quite a few times and had some disruptive kids in our class, so the Head of French didn't think we were ready for higher.
It all went OK, mostly it was a case of, what we knew, we could do, but what he hadn't learnt, we couldn't. There wasn't really anything that we couldn't quite remember, mostly just stuff we hadn't learnt at all.
I prefer reading, because I like to be able to read through things as much as possible, and I'm not really good enough at French to understand the tapes straight away. I also find it quite hard to stay focused in the massive gaps that they seem to put in between every question, and usually end up missing the start. :o
I've got History tomorrow - which I'm dreading! I really should have revised more, but I find revising hard and we've had so much other revision to do, and lots of work to catch up with. We've had a crappy teacher this year, so I'm feeling so unprepared. I'm just gonna read through the revision notes, and go in to revise with the teacher for about 15 minutes tomorrow morning, and hopefully I can just about scrape through with that. I just need to remember that it's not really important - we have still got a year until our actual exams.
I wasn't sure if I was going to have a Graphics exam tomorrow, but my teacher phoned my mum (rather sneakily, I might add) to tell her that I shouldn't bother and should just go to her room and make sure my coursework is done, since it's due in tomorrow. So I'm just doing that now, but it's mostly just stuff to be stuck in, anyway. The teacher has already rang three times this week!! :ninja:
Ahhhh I onyl have 4 days left at school now, so I have so much revision to do
is anyone doing psychology? ive just start the course at home and think i'll be needing some help....so need someone willing to answer many many questions lol
I was going to take that at college but I decided not too
Lol at first I thought you were calling her crazy but now I get it :p
I didnt think it was an option for gcse
It isn't an option at my school, either; until A level, and they do a lot of courses.
How ROOD :p  joke.
But yeah, I did Psychology last year (well remember Em :D). So if you do get stuck or need help Lee, just ask, and I may or may not be able to help :).
I only did it cause I did GCSE's twice.. I did them second time in College.. so I guess there is a GCSE in Psych.. just not in schools :p.
I'm getting so nervous now, exams start next week! Everybody doing lots of revision?
My next two exams, English Literature and ICT Paper 1 are on 22nd May...then i have a week off, before all my other exams start.
I've started revising for ICT Paper 1, i'm doing quite well with my revision at the moment, we got given some booklets in my ICT lesson and each booklet has revision in for each paper, so i'm learning a page a day for each booklet by writing out the page and reading it over and over again, and it seems to be working well as all the facts are staying in my head.
Have you been revising Chloe-Elise?
Quite a lot, most nervous about Science I think though. I've got RE and Art next week, then English Lit then a week off, so I hope I can get lots of revision done then. I can't believe my exams start next week, I'm so nervous! Sounds like your revisions going well Davey, good luck with it :)
Good luck with your revision too. :) The exams i'm most nervous about is Maths and French reading and listening. In my Maths mock, i scrapped a C, so i really hope i manage to do it again. I'm quite ok about my other exams, i'm hoping to revise quite a lot over the week i have off with no exams, then revise the nights before for each exam (cramming) to get that last minute revision in.
I have a Science Mock on all modules today. Wish me luck because I'm going to need it soo much (Science is my worst subject =|)
*coughs*
yes. but not as much as I should. Exams in 5 days. eek
Luckily textiles first (music and food allowed in this exams yay)
Then RE.
I'm most nervous about maths. because I only scraped a C by 4 marks in the mocks!
I should be more nervous really....:o
My final drama went really good the other day :D
What did you have to do for your final Drama piece Abbie?
We did the play Blood brothers and I was the mother
Well i'm on study leave now and have started revising. I did 2 and a half hours of revision today for English Literature, revising some of the characters from the Blood Brothers. :)
2 science modules on Weds. then RE thurs the Citizenship friday. Ahhhh!
Break up on wednesday though so i'll have more time to revise after that!
Good luck Layneybaby :)
Got my french module 2 tomorrow...looks like last minute revision for me.
