Hope the powers that be at EE have a rethink and bring back the Cokers albeit for extended vists. The accommodation is readily available , don't think Billy, Honey and the kids will want to live on site.

jay homeless, burt didn't want him?
The following is a comment from the Radio Times website about tonight's episode which I found amusing and very apt. It's slightly spoilery so I've put in tags just in case.
:lol:Spoiler:
no julia's theme for cokers
anyone else think pam was going tell les dress as christine to take him to the pub to show all and babe

It's very sad to see the Cokers go, but at least they had a lovely send off. Characters who've only been around a couple of years don't usually get so much fuss made of them (by the square or the EE team) which has mollified me a little.
I like Glen's idea of them coming back for short visits since they still own the funeral parlour. I'm hoping SOC takes on board the dismay a lot of fans have expressed at their leaving and decides to bring them back for the occasional visit.
A little behind with EastEnders this week, just caught Thursdays. A lovely script by Darren Little. The scenes with Pam and Jay were very good, nice comic touches with Denise and Kim in the Minute Mart.
I would love to know what the crack is with Peter and Steven. A lovely ending to the episode with Jay and Ben.
Spot on, but it seemed to be half the theme, I presumed it was just for Paul!
So it looks like Stephen is going full evil now Lauen didnt say she loved him. well hes already nicked all the money and his bothers women so what does he care really.. He took janes furtilty now hes taking her cash who could see that coming :moonie::moonie:
Babe and Pam .. seriously? Babe would of laughed in her face.. or just twisted it that they had screwed ill kid out of their money. I mean thats what vile coves do, I know Im related to one. :cartman:
Honey's face was a picture when asked to touch up the bodies at the funeral parlour. A lovely episode to say goodbye to Pam and Les, They will be missed, although they have only been in the show for a short time, it feels they have been there for years. Another good script from Daran Little.
Nice scenes with Dot and Kim in the Laundrette. It is nice to see a more serious side to Kim, it makes her a more rounded character. Nice to see Jay working at the funeral parlour. Billy was great tonight. The writing was good again, an unsual duff duff, but it will be interesting to see if anything comes of it with William. Is there going to be more bullying from Dennis?
I hope they aren't going to turn William into Bobby Beale mark II.
Is the rubbish a metaphor for the mess SOC has been left to clean up? :D
Stacey could ask Kat for money to invest in Belinda's salon
After a string of good solid episodes this seemed be a bit under whelming. But I would have underwhelming under SOC everytime, than the tosh served up under DTC.
Dot driving a smart car amused me for some reason. I am liking Sharon more and more, I also liked the Belinda and Carmel scenes, also it was nice to see the Carters be happy and normal, reminds me of how they were when they first arrived. It was interesting to see that Arthur was mentioned tonight. I wonder if Dot will ever find out? It looks like we may have a bullying storyline with William and Denny. Denny is a real little ****, he needs a good punch. Go on William smack him again.
Kim well annoys me, she has no licence no insurance no understanding of wrong doing yet she gets away with it and never learns. Id of narked her her up to the rozzers. (makes me chuckle the actress who plays kim must of arranged loads of time off to rehearse her dancing for Strictly, but then got the boot on show one bless her)
Yeah Dots had that smart car a while now, the woodie probably went the same way as Alfies s Ford Capri or maybe its the one Roy now drives in Corrie.
The BBC are currently under such heavy scrutiny from those who'd like to get rid of it that they'd be silly to break the rules, especially in such an obvious way. The Daily Fail would be shouting triumphantly from the rooftops if anyone suspected such a thing!
I'm not really sure why Dot's car is likely to be product placement any more than, say, Mick's Mitsubishi or Phil's Jaguar...
She used to have a morris minor traveller.
I couldn't stop smiling at Linda's knitting needles. :D
I wonder where they are going with the Dot storyline? very sad. I want Babes dressing gown. Lovely mention of Pauline again tonight. I like the idea of Pat's House being full of people again. A better episode than Tuesday.
I wasn't really concentrating when Kim had the accident and I just assumed it was her fault (as did the residents of Albert Square), but during their conversion tonight she sounded genuinely aggrieved that she was being blamed for Dot's error. She might have hit the nail on the head when she accused Dot of going blind. The latter's no longer working and spends most of her time in the house alone. I wonder if anyone will even notice her deterioration? :(
(I wasn't quite sure what Dot was doing when she was scrabbling around in a cupboard towards the end so I might have missed something important.)
I'm also wondering where the embezzling storyline is going. It feels to me like it's going to lead into something bigger.
i believe kim's mobile fell on the car floor which she was retrieving so eyes off the road while driving
I vaguely remember Kim wasn't paying attention to the road, but I do think it's probably true that Dot pulled out right into her path. I don't remember if we saw Dot's point of view right before the accident though so I can't be sure.
Perhaps Dot's not herself because she's upset about losing her beloved job and is also very lonely rather than it being anything physical like eyesight loss. :(
She put her car key in the bureau and locked it.
I wondered what Belinda is going to be doing to turn up with the rent tomorrow. Do city boys just fall into the pub from time to time?
can jay ever catch a break
The darts team scenes worked well, love the relationship/friendship between Linda and Sharon. I am wondering how they are going to write out Kellie Bright? I am also wondering how Danny Boy Hatchard is doing to leave. I wonder if Lee's depression will resurface?
Nice scenes with Dot and Patrick. Had to laugh at Donna offering Roxy her pickled egg. Steven is starting to feel worried.
Jay, Jay, Jay I had high hopes for you, sticking up for William and then what have you done, stealing from the Cokers. You bloody fool.
I am finding Linda very annoying and can't wait for Kellie's maternity leave, I have really got a turn off of the Carter family
i was expecting the earrings to cost more than 60
was steven being legit and honest about peter?
