yeah but it could be a branch from above the webcam that sagged when the tree grew too large, that could happen overnight

I think this is indicating that they have slept together.
I think it's more that he's caught her in the act with someone else. I mean "I saw all I wanted to see," is hardly the thing to say after you've just slept with someone is it. And then she's taken photos because she's trying to blackmail someone, or it's a honey trap sort of thing.
