Just thinking back to the topic of depression which seems so common and on the increase. I remember when I was so down I rang my friend/ hairdresser and her husband picked the phone up. I struggled to speak to ask if his wife was available. She spoke to me and I just wanted her to keep me in her prayers. After 15 mins she turned up to my house for the first time with her husband .i was shocked. She said her husband was concerned about me after hearing my voice. He spoke to me and said I needed to get out and do things. i said I did'nt want to do things or go out. He said he would do a barbeque for me the next day and that all my family should come including my mother and sister.
Anyway in the morning I woke up and it was snowing heavily. I rang him as the barbeque was obviously not going to happen. To my surprise he said he was out there in the snow and that i should get myself ready quickly. It was an amazing barbeque and a turning point for me as I was so touched by it all. He did this for me as I helped him out once when he got stuck with a legal case a while back and could not afford a lawyer. Although I am not a lawyer I did his case and won it for him. So the message is show kindness to each other it really helps especially when you are down
