If I was a drug dealer the last thing I would do, was go to police station and kick up a fuss about anything.
I thought the Avani story was going to turn into a racism story. Of the three girls Avani was the only non white, of the police officers it was the white officer who played the leading role, and who seemed to be taking pleasure in humiliating her in the strip search. While the other officer seemed to be showing some sympathy towards Avani, even though she did not say anything. Initially I thought this story was told quite well, that Avani was learning that having a smart mouth was not so smart after all. But now I feel it is developing into another police bashing tale. If the police acted within the law I am not sure that making a complaint will serve any purpose. The fact that Eve was the one to encourage, this seems to suggest that she ( or the writers) have forgotten that she is a lawyer.
I think it should have been Tommy for this story line, if perhaps he, Will and Ricky were in the same scenario, if could have been Tommy to be strip searched, this would have nothing to do with race, but shows just how easy it is for an innocent child to be wrong place wrong time.
It would have been ideal to give Tommy (who is also mouthy) a kick up the backside for being a brat, and appreciate that he had no one else to blame, unless he punched the police woman!!!
vicki has lost her accent , was it american or australian ?
not a fan of this new vicki and her old fella and his son
good to have bex back
Vicky and family turns up in Walford, in debt, and looking to tap up family for money, yet they can afford three return fares. Ross and son did not know Martin so did not they need to come too. I would risk a small bet they will not be going back any time soon.
I spent so much of this episode trying to remember who was related to who, that I lost the thread of the story.
I have always felt that Eastenders bring back too many characters from the past. My memory of what happened in the past is not good enough when they refer to past history, especially if characters have been recast or when they rewrite history.
It's weird when you expect a blast from the past to appear they don't and yet when no one actually misses certain people (Bex, Vicki,) they turn up, half expecting Simon Wickes, Tanya, Max to make an appearance, yea for the funeral, did'nt everyone "lurveeeee" Martin
Thought the funeral was a bit OTT. How long has before someone tells Stacey again that she is a good mum, a great mum, Lily got it bang on.(
why did sharon miss the funeral? and where is Jay?
Do the people in Albert Square go to so many funerals, that they all have a black tie and dark overcoat in their wardrobes?
Lily was remarkably sober considering how much vodka she had drunk. I really wish they would stop pushing the line that when faced with trouble in your life, the answer is to turn to the bottle. Especially for young people.
My turn to blow my trumpet, knew Vicky and Co would not be going back to Australia.
Why does Ross not just tell Vicki they have been warned off going back to Sydney.
Jack will cover for Lily, so will Stacey and everyone will think it is Ruby, Stacey should tell the police it was really Lily or Avani and Avani, she knows
why does everyone cover for stacey or her kids or family, lily did wrong, avani did wrong lying and ruby leaves not revealing the truth
sonia was cruel to bianca bringing up tony
I have never liked Stacey, I have always seen her as a loud mouthed bully, who is only honest when it suits her. She says she loves her kids, and she probably believes she does, but her selfish behavior is not always in their best interest.
Never liked Sonia either, I think she is dishonest, judgemental and a hypocrite.
Who is looking after Charlie when Lily, Stacy are being so irresponsible, surely not Jean, she has Stacey's other 2 to cook, clean get to school etc etc, no wonder she is high as a kite.
LILY should be made accountable for all her stupid behaviour.
