I would have thought that Robert would be delighted that Lawrence set-up Andy to be "duffed up", seeing as Andy set-up Robert to be fatally shot by paid-gunman but motiveless Ross some months ago. I'm really hoping that the Emmerdale scenes aired later today explain why Robert does what he is spoilered to do later today and to leave Lawrence to die, because Robert has been my fave Emmerdale character for quite a while now but I like Lawrence as a character too. I really expected Robert to save Lawrence from his heart attack and to take care of him by calling an ambulance, etc. For the spoilers to say that Robert doesn't do these things really needs an explanation later for me.
Ross is a sociopath, I reckon. He has no morals or care for anyone else it seems and is just a total social misfit in Emmerdale really and is completely dysfunctional in normal everyday life. As far as I can tell for now, Robert has a very different personality disorder and appears to be a creative psychopath. So not aggressive, particularly murderous or useless, but scheming, manipulative, impulsive, etc. Just think like someone who could pass off as a believable commercial airline pilot with no real qualifications or experience. That's the real Robert for me!
I like Robert on his own as an Emmerdale character, just as I like Aaron on his own as an Emmerdale character. I am not very keen on the latest "Robron" scenes though and I really don't think that these have been well planned or written. On this basis, I'd much prefer it if Robert and Aaron stayed apart for now but remained as dodgy business partners.
