Kim driving in those shoes :D
Also that driving instructor looked like he has pooped his pants after being with Kim.
Well I've watched all of last week's episodes (up to and including the one where Martin and Stacey moved into Pat's old house) and I must admit I enjoyed them - particularly the last two. There's a really nice back to basics feel with some pleasant community spirit and - dare I say it - even some fun at the moment.
I'm intending to carry on watching which says it all really. I hope SOC continues the good start he's made in clearing up DTC's mess.
I enjoyed the whitney and Lee scenes. It is really odd, the characters I disliked under DTC are so much more bearable under SOC apart from Ian.
Lovely scenes with the Cokers and Billy. I did almost feel sorry for Jane in the Vic, then I remembered what she and Ian have done to Max. What goes around comes around. Linda is coming across strong and straight to the point which I also like. SOC is shaping the show into how he wants it. Interesting times for EastEnders fans.
jane wet herself big whoopsie but she let a innocent man go prison and no one baits an eye lid even stacey now helps her
I don't feel as strongly about Ian and Jane as you, but I do hope Max will make them (and everyone else involved) pay in spectacular style.
Something I was reassured to read about SOC was that he doesn't believe in letting villains off the hook. The trouble is DTC has left what feels like half the cast as villains - with seemingly no concern for the future credibility of the show. We know quite a few cast members are going - many of them characters who have committed heinous deeds - so SOC might be trying to "clean up" the cast. The trouble is that characters like Ian, Jane, Phil and Sharon (who were all up to their necks in letting Max go down) are harder to get rid of...
billy working at ian fish shop as well as cokers, when did that happen?????
id say ian will be kerb crawling for ladies of the night soon

did pam really think the killers mother would not side with her son
I think given her previous work with youths she is more compassionate and wants a reason for Paul's death and thought speaking to one of the killer's parents she could try to understand why and ask not to drag out a trial by pleading guilty which they are not as they pleading not guilty
I liked what Pam was saying as it made Kathy think about Ben, her son who killed Heather, is she to blame over her fake death for insurance (nonsense storyline) and absence
The Donna and Carmel scenes were very good and did make me laugh. I am liking the general naturalness of the show and the dialogue flows alot better.
Pam broke my heart. I am trying but I don't care about Ian and Jane.
Poor Dot, how could Mr Papadopulous. You rat bag. I enjoyed the scenes with sharon and Dot.
Carmel was very annoying tonight. So Masood is back?
Johnny and Kush make a nice couple.
Harry Reid please stop shouting, over acting again.
And what was Masood doing back?
I have to admit, Im struggling to care, I hope Stephen takes all the Beals money, I mean its not like both let an innocent man do prison time and now seriously couldnt give a smeg.
The whole Paul death trial thing made no sense?
A really lovely episode, it was well written, it had a good community feel about it. All the characters interacted so well, it is quite amazing that this show has changed in less than a month. It won't delight or appeal to the DTC twitter brigade who want flash, bang, wallop and gangster in their soap.
There was some lovely touches tonight. The scenes with Sharon and Ben, Lee and Whitney and the ending was just perfect, Pam smiling and waving at Johnny made me cry, it was just so right and a mini Julias theme at the end, a happy Julia's theme. :)
I am so happy with this show right now I keep thinking how long will this last?
So is that goodbye to the Corkers? They played Julias theme as they walked towards the arches ? Was that just for Paul or for all of the Corkers?
Just caught up.
A good episode - mixture of feelings - frustrating that Masood thinks he can wriggle out of a tenancy, but happy that an easy end to court for the Cokers.
is lee wedding to whitney soon as she had her hen do and no invite for abi and babe, shirley babysitting sylvie
Billy can hire someone to look after the administration side of the Coker funeral business or get Honey to help, Pam helped Les
Witney's quick storyline was a bit of a shock.
I did notice Linda had something in front of her in every shot almost. Walking in with the baby gift bag, then a big ball of wool, and then a very flouncy top to hide her own bump.
proud dot but what little ricky did was sweet
That was the first time I've seen Ricky: what an absolute sweetheart! How did that happen with Sam Mitchell bringing him up?
Dot's offence that a little kid might think her a charity case was funny - especially the comment about farms and spaghetti hoops - but also poignant because she is lonely as Ricky suspected. :(
Sad about the miscarriage. I imagine that, along with Whitney fleeing, will have a devastating effect on Lee's mental health .:(
It really is such a shame the Cokers are leaving, Pam scenes with Ben were lovely and I am glad finally some healing between him and Abi, both apologising
The Cokers with Billy and his family seem such a good natural fit, all a family
Ricky was adorable
Ben already on a hook up site, very disrespectful of Paul
yes dirty boy ben back on grinder or tinder
Just caught up with Monday and Tuesday's EastEnders. Just love Richard Ricky. The chemistry between him and Jack is brilliant and the scenes with Jack, Ronnie and the two kids seemed very natural. I lol'd at Ronnie impersonating Dot with the Spaghetti hoops. :D
A couple of months ago I couldn't stand or careless about Whitney and Lee, it's amazing what some good writing can do. The acting by both characters was good and I actually felt a lot of sympathy towards the couple.
Lovely comedy scenes with Denise and Kim, Kim's none reaction to Denise discussing her book was priceless.
Also a nice touch with Kush asking if Lee was ok in the Vic. If EastEnders was a school report, it would read "SOC Keep up the good work."
