Congratulations Katy and Davey :cheer:
Kirsty - I hope that whatever was bothering you is resolved soon.
Thanks guys! i had a lovely day yesterday was really nice seeing everyone but its now officially the end of an era! ill post a picture later. It was a really nice ceremony as well.
my friends up from london so i am going to go into manchester today with her and my family maybe get something to eat later. The weather is tipping it down so very northern!
Hey guys. It's been such a long time since I have properly been on here. I dunno why I haven't been on. Just been a bit weird the past few months :)
Umm fill you all in on my life :D
Went to Magaluf in June! Was AWESOME! Best holiday ever - so far :p Went with my mates :)
Ummm me and bf good.. we had an argument on Saturday when we were out. But it's sorted now. Kinda. I'm still not 100% happy, but I just got to learn to trust I guess.
Ummm yeah I have to redo my Theory test.. because it runs out next week, and I have no money to do my test :crying: GOD KNOWS if I will pass that again this time lol!
Ummm yeah that's pretty much it!!
Anyone want to fill me in on life here?
By the way.. sorry about the photo comp, it was when things were kinda getting to me and I took a hiatus :p
It wasn't going amazingly well anyway. Didn't have many photos. Lol.
Hey Lea
I have just come back from holidays and it has made me more determined to move there next year. Starting a new job and tomorrow I am with my partner for 6 years so hope to plan something nice for our anniversary
Don't worry about photo comp although I think a lot more people are interested now as they have a few months before going back to Uni... Fingers crossed that you pass your test next time...
Other than that, life is pretty much the same, work, kids and sleep, Oh and my mum is 70 today!!!
Congratulations to Siobhan's mum on her 70th birthday :cheer: Good luck in your new job and all the best for your planned move :D
Leaaa! It's soo good to have you back!! :)
Wow, Happy Birthday to your Mum Siobhan! :) :)
Not much going on with me, i actually hate work, I need to get from there asap, my Assistant Manager actually hates me, I won't let her win though, and the new kids have more hours than me! What is that all about!? Thankfully I have a week off for my holidays this week, so it's all about relaxinggg!
Been spending some time with my friends mostly, after what I've heard in the past week.. you really can't trust everyone, and I am so thankful to my friends being there for me to support me and get drunk with me haha. If he EVER comes near me again though... I will be kicking him straight where it hurts, scum.
They're not all bad though, I went out on an actual date last night :) hehe, that sounds weird. It was a good night though, I really enjoyed it, I hope he did too...I'm just worried about the age difference, though I personally don't see anything wrong with it, others may.
What else? oh yeah...I 'm skint again! I really need to learn to budget haha! I have 2 jobs... and still no money! I've opened up a savings account... but still no money to go in there, I have to tax my car at the end of the month which obviously isn't happening, I was thinking of putting it off anyways because my car seriosuly needs work done to it, I need new tyres because mine are bald I think.. they have NO grip on the road in the rain, it's scary and unsafe.
Sorry about that long post guys, that's all my gossip done!
EDIT: Good luck in your new job Siobhan! :)
nice to have you back Lea!
I had a lovely evening after work yesterday went to the sailing club and helped out with the juniors barbeque, and today im off to birmingham to visit my auntie and nana. so that should be good. Also gettng my hair done as it despoeratley need it!
Good luck with the theory test Lea. Sounds like you've had a nice few months!
I've spent the day packing and feeling nervous about tomorrow. I've had a dodgy stomach all day. Is it normal to feel nervous about going on holiday? I'm quite scared!
Had family and friends round Saturday for a bbq had bouncy castel everyone had a really good day......
My neice came to stay the night friday she still here think i better take her home today but she dont want to go home yet bless her.......
I'm an idiot. I came back to Stoke for a flying visit so I could see The One That Got Away one last time at our leaving do (even though he's now living half an hour away from my home address). He was there. I ignored him for the first hour or so. It was only after 3/4 bottle of red wine (yes, I know...) that he came up to talk to me. We didn't talk about what happened a few months ago. He's now running a pub so he said I should visit him sometime. I said I can't get there easily (which is true) so he said he'd come pick me up. At that time food arrived. He sat at a different table. Shortly afterwards, he said his goodbyes. I asked him if he was going my way, he said yes so I asked him if I could jump in. He said that was fine. Ten minutes later he said he only has one spare seat and he's picking his mate up from Derby. It was the first time he's called me by my full name.
I thought I was over him and I could deal with seeing him. He's lost weight, he's had a hair cut, he looks better than ever. And I've gone and fallen for him again. I know that we can never be together, for various reasons, but that doesn't stop me feeling this way. I just can't help myself.
However my leaving speech was rubbish, I forgot everyone's name, I was (admittedly) drunk and probably slurred my words.
I think I've sobered up enough now. I'm peckish. Moved into my house yesterday. I didn't sleep well at all, due in part to a single pillow and also being in a strange house. I went shopping today and bought six pillows so hopefully with all this alcohol and pillows I should sleep better tonight. I have an early start tomorrow, getting the 9am train home (cheapest time of the day to travel) because its my nephew's baptism on Sunday. I'm going to be godmother.
As I'm the first to move in, I raided the house for the best furniture :p I can't wait to move in fully in a few weeks. I'm thinking about giving a set of drawers to my housemate so I can have a comfy chair or bean bags in one corner. My wardrobes are huge, I can't even open the top cupboards because they're so high.
Oh and I've discovered a new computer room in the library with widescreen TFT monitors and the fastest systems on the network :D I've been here two years and only just found this room! I love discovering secret places.
You can't help who you fall in love with, even when you know you shouldn't :(
I'm glad you like your new house :)
Last night was a lot easier. It began to feel more like my home and I didn't want to leave this morning! After having the run of a whole house to myself, coming back to my parents' is difficult, especially as they still haven't given me a door key. We've lived here ten years, my sister has a door key (she has her own house), I have a key for my sister's house (which she gave me before she even moved in) yet my parents don't see the need for me to have a key. Its the principle of it that annoys me more than the practicalities. One of my main bugbears about living with my parents.
Abigail I'm sending you a big hug cause men are just toads especially the good looking ones. Hope you have a happier time in your new house.
I hate auditors.. hate them hate them hate them (apology to anyone who is an auditor but you are making my job hell).. they are due in 2 weeks and I have a mountain of things to check, double check, make sure they have really been checked before they come.. I am so tired!!
Aww, sorry to hear you're so busy at the moment, Siobhan. I'd noticed that you've been quiet on here recently.
Took Marley to my nephews shop today. He had a couple of bookings and had arranged for a make-up artist to come from Motherwell to do the clients hair and make-up. Anyway one of the clients cancelled while the girl was travelling through so my nephew called me to see if Marley wanted a photo shoot done. Mas trip to New Look for clothes we didn't get home until almost 8 o'clock then heard on te news about the gas expolosion in Edinburgh. That is about a mile and a half from were I live. Marley's primary school is just along the road and round the corner is Asda were I do my shopping.
Bit of a problem here at work... There is a guy who comes over and asks questions looking for help , which I don't mind as we all need help occasionally.. but this guy then sends out email to the "higher up" people claiming that all the stuff I have suggested to him was his idea. This has happen on many occasions now and not just with me.. The main thing here is that we can't complain as we have no proof that we gave him the ideas.. (he only ever asks in person not via mail which we can trace) and because he has come up with these great idea, he is the golden boy!
How do I stop this? He is very sneaky as if I don't tell him, he complains that I am not helping the team and of course "higher up" people blame me... I am so annoyed with him on this particular occasion as I have volunteered my help to his team to get them up to speed.. it is not my job to do this and I am so busy with my own work but I made the time.. Just got a mail now with him taken all the credit.. What can I do?
Would you be able to speak to him about this? Would be best to clear the air, especially if you are not the only one providing him with "his" ideas.
Wwll Shiv I have two suggestions. 1 Take him into the stationary cupboard and giving him a dam good kicking. or 2 The next time he comes and asks for help be polite and say your a bit busy at the moment. Can he pop you an email on what it is that he is wanting to know. That way when he tries to take all the credit you have the evidence that he is lying. Pass this onto a couple of members of your team so you have more than one piece of evidence but don't let him know what you are up to.
Thanks all.. kathy.. I like your suggestion 1!!
Alan.. like I said this guy is clever.. if I pass him useless information he owns up and says it came from me and I get the blame... it is how he approaches you, asks you a question like he is genuinely looking for help and you make a few suggestion which he passes off as his own.. A damn good kicking is in order.. but failing that, I will make sure in future he sends an email and I will CC someone else on it as he tends just to send to individuals and claim credit
That sounds like a good solution, Siobhan. You'll have to let us know if it works.
Perdy.. had a quick chat with this guy about his latest "idea" and asked him if he remembered me saying something on this a few days ago.. he said, as he modified what I said a bit (not much believe me) it is his idea as I didn't come up with this "final" suggestion.. I give up.. I am definitely going to ask him to request stuff in an email in future..
That is fair enough, Siobhan, go for it. He needs to learn the hard way, by the look of things. Kath's idea is the best, no kicking at work, any physical violence has to be outside working hours and the work place, otherwise you will lose the job, not that you really would do it, only feel like doing it, which is understandable :D
Eeep. Just realised how long it had been since I popped in to say hello! haha. hope everyone is goooood! :D
xx
Hi Hollie, missed you, good to see you here again. Hope everthing is ok with you :D
I've got a job. Its just cleaning for the next couple of weeks while their cleaner is on holiday but the money is ok. It was my first day today, bloody hard work for five hours solid. I've done cleaning before but never in a manual labour environment where men pee on the floor, don't flush the toilet and kick doors open with their feet.
I'm catching up on Home and Away tonight and just resting. Not sure what to do this weekend.
Yeahh thankyou Perdita i'm fabbb :D
Abigail welcome to the world of the employed. Wait until you have to clean a stinky toilet with a hangover, if you survive that you can survive anything. Shiv your doing the right thing in asking for emails a bit of a pain I know but you can't let him take the credit for your hardwork. I had a similar problem at work a couple of years ago. I deal with about 10 training officers for the apprentices and I have to invoice them for training and assessments. We had some lads from one training provider who missed sometime at college. I would invoice the company and this one training officer would claim that he told the college in advance that lads would not be attending for one reason or another. I got wise to him and now if he tells me on the phone about any lad not attending I ask him to pop me an email so there is no confusion when invoicing. Nice to see you back Hollie.
Im back from my holiday! Morocco was really good, theres pics on FB for those of you that are my friend on there
I got back yesterday morning and I was already back to work tonight
Im do glad Ive been away cos it meant I could enjoy 2 weeks instad of being bored

I haven't posted on here in agees. Actually havent had any time at all. I'm much happier than the last time i posted in this thread :D! Been spending most of my time with Aarron when he's not down south. This has to be said sorry guys SEVEN WEEKS! Longest relationship ever and i know it's going to work :D! Not feeling to good today actually but don't know wether that's cause i'm hungry or haven't had enough sleep. Plan for today is just relaxing and than trying to find a top for tonight which will be bloody hard! But I know what i want to wear so it's all good. There's 4 of us heading out for a meal and than drink's after wards. I'm ready to kill my best friend though but that's a completely different story all together. Really looking forward to it :D
Glad to hear you have cheered up Tannie. What are you doing after the summer are you going back to college.
im back from my holiday as well, been to Northumberland for a week, the weather was great, only rained today and that didnt matter as we were driving home. Its a beautiful part of the world. I was really surprised, will def be returning to the north east.
just enjoying the rest of the weekend before work on monday. where no doubt ill feel like i need another holiday, its really knackering job which i really didnt think it would be.not like i have never worked before! ah well, its all worth it in the end. Had my stuff through for my course in september, got some pre work to do so im going to be busy i feel all the way through.
The North east is a great place
Me and my friend are going to book our holiday later =D
it really is Abbie! im gutted to be home to be honest have had such a great week! the poor dogs knackered now, think all the walking of the last weeks caught up with him.
Yeah i am Kath i'm heading back to do Business just don't know when I start haha :D! Ah I got so stressed out and annoyed at my best mate, it's really complicated but putting it simply she's leading her current boyfriend on, and it really got to me last night, even Aarron realised she was using him, and she just doesn't care, seemed really heartless over it all. I ended up snapping at her as soon as we got in the taxi and she realised how annoyed at her i really am, I don't know wether or not to tell her that i feel this way or what. Vause I know what she'll say but honesty is always the best opinon isn't it? :S
