Getting a bit fed up with angry, moody Aaron, I image we are meant to feel sorry for him but I just can't feel any sympathy.
Poor Wendy/Susan Cookson/Marion from Corrie, she's not very lucky with sons, first Callum despatched by Kylie with a wrench, and now Lee done in by Robert with a shovel. Wonder if her c.v. reads specialism: grieving mother of murdered Sons?
now moira blaming feeling trapped with her kids and farm, nate is a kid
How often do we have to see this well used Soap cliche of the door handle that comes off in the hand? - In all my life it has never happened to me.
Exactly ! Simply push the square spindle back thru' and turn the handle, no big deal. But every time it happens in a Soap tho' someone is locked in for a long while. Writers have no imagination.
Surprise! Surprise! Nate is Cain's son, as if we did not guess that a long tome ago. - Weeks and weeks of leading up to a pretty poor contrived episode.
nate is a dingle, cain's son, another sibling for debbie she gets a new one yearly from cain and charity :p moira blaming adam on the run covering for her murdering emma as reason for her affair
i kinda want nate to live now he is cain's son faith's grandson
Now I am one of those very few creatures that rarely has the mobile phone with me as I do not really use it other than to make some phone calls and I dare say I am not the only one but normally you see every soap character always has their mobile with them, fully charged and with credit, of course, but once again we see two people suddenly without that so vital piece of communication equipment ..
The antics in the pub were farcical, the script writers are dire, I've seen better drama in a school play.
The pub scenes were stupid but I found the rest of the episode pretty good. I've never liked Cain but he's played by a great actor and there was a real sense of dread about his scenes with Nate. He really works well with Moira too. Pity we knew there was a big stunt coming up, with all the ads on ITV, etc, but it was still a great episode.
cain mocking mimicing moira was funny, jeff was brilliant
im sick of crying aaron
Nate being Cain's son so predictable, just what we need another Ding bat! :wall:
debbie has another sibling not to mention her step siblings which include tomjoe
So what is the point of introducing Nate ?? To wreck Cain and Moira's relationship? Well done!! But what now he knows he got revenge on wrong folk??? So far, never seen the point of Nate joining and do not think I will ever warm to him if he stays long term ....
i thought lisa would fair in baby dingle kirk name
The whole thing is stupid. Nate isn't needed and Cain doesn't need a random unknown kid when he had a similar situation with Debbie (obviously without the stepmum/stepson grossness)
What now? They can't seriously ever put Cain and Moira back together. Their relationship was becoming a joke anyway even before this but now? Are they going to try and integrate Nate with the Dingles? Why should Cain ever want a relationship with him even if he now knows Nate's revenge was misguided? The bloke still had an affair with his wife.
cara in next?
Amy really is a hypocrite tearing into Moira like that. It seems she still sees herself as a victim instead of taking responsibility for her own actions. You would think that while not condoning Moira's behavior she would be a bit more understanding of her situation. Mind you Moira also seems to be adopting victim status, blaming Nate for everything. She was quick enough to jump into bed with him and only really made half hearted efforts to end it. While Nate seems to think that by apologizing to her everything will be OK. Not a storyline I have found very convincing and unfortunately looks like it could run on a while longer if Cara is introduced.
The whole storyline is pointless - why are they giving Cain, and by extension the Dingles, yet another long lost child? There's no way they can build a proper relationship with Cain and Nate; in fact even if Nate had turned up and introduced himself properly it would still have been difficult for someone like Cain to bond with him at that stage.
And the revelation that Faith had already abandoned her kids yet turned up to interfere in Cain's life then presumably disappear again is a bit of a retcon.
I am betting that however unlikely we may think it is, that if Nate sticks around, though I don't know why he would even think of it, we will see him and Cain become closer, just as Cain accepted Kyle after his initial rejection. From the writers point of view if it worked once, why not again? Saves thinking of something new.
Honestly, they should rename the show "Dingledale". It's gotten very ridiculous especially for a family that wasn't intended to be around this long. These so-called producers need to go. I even think that I could do a far better job (even though I'd be the youngest soap producer). ITV clearly sees that people are watching the show and it turns enough profit... But if they were on their precious Coronation Street then it'd be a different story. Meanwhile, they would have been long gone if they had worked on Hollyoaks as Channel 4 seems to be the only one who actually cares about making good content at the moment.
Does Debbie know about Nate?
If Charity has money from the scam robbery where is it?
Another poorly written crime story. In what world would anyone give Mandy Dingle a job as 'Head of Security' at a chain of casinos. Card counting is not illegal, casinos may see it as a 'crime' because it changes what they want to be a 'game of chance' into a 'game of skill', but they would have no right to ask for the money back, altho' they do ban people they catch doing it. I would think the days when casinos were mostly run by gangsters are over and that the authorities are much stricter in who they grant licences to now, in the fifties and sixties they may have sent people to the 'arbattoir' but I don't think they would get away with that now. I was hoping Mandy would go on the run and disappear but unfortunately it looks like she will be staying for a while.
The casino scenes were ridiculous. I don't mind when they do something a bit different, such as Ashley's dementia episode or the motorway pile up where James Barton was killed, for example, but the Ocean's Eleven tone was embarrassing. And Charity as "Red" was stupid too - when did she find the time to hang out in a casino like that, with all the other storylines going on?

What the eck was Tuesdays double bill all about. Were the writers on Doug's weed. Pathetic.
I liked Graham as the Phantom of the Opera - he's far more suited to that role than Jamie is. And it was a nice coincidence that both Rhona and Andrea were in the same Christine outfit, from "Wishing you were here again".
Let's hope this is the end of weed story now Doug has burnt the last of it. The programme clearly suffers from having too many weekly episodes meaning they have churn out so many substandard storylines. Doug, Rodney, Eric and Bob have all been turned into comedy characters, and not very good comedy at that. Al, well I am not sure what he is meant to be, a cliched hard nosed businessman I suppose, but a bit robotic as in the style of Nate. He will no doubt prove to be no match for Kim.
I would prefer that they did not rewrite history of past events and instead look to the future. Is it because they do not have a laundrette in the village that everyone feels the need to wash their dirty linen in the Woolpack.
Has Aaron, issuing threats of violence to Luke, learned nothing from Robert's experience. Was Vinny drinking beer from "the wellie" if he is meant to be seventeen would they serve him alcohol.
The the thing that has really puzzled me of late is Nate's caravan. Has anyone else noticed that when viewed from the outside it was sitting at an angle on a small mound of uneven ground, but when inside everything seemed to be flat and level. - Little details but indicative of the the current attitude.
The redhead in the Casino, played by Emma Atkins ... was she actually involved in the casino scam???
Has Tracey gone away for a while, I did not see her at the Halloween party? How did Noah and the others get upstairs without Bernice and Kerry seeing them.
Aaron trying to get himself sent to the Isle of Wight to join Robert?
I like the Belle and Cain scenes
nate is working a nearby farm so staying close to daddy cain
