Eliminated X Factor twins John and Edward Grimes are reportedly being considered for an appearance on The Simpsons.

According to The Sun, the singing duo could feature as themselves in an episode of the animated sitcom.

A Fox spokesman said: "Castings are not something we can talk publicly about, but we are taking a look at the boys.

"We love anything Irish - we set a whole show there last year. They are certainly charming and good-looking fellows."

Edward said: "We would love to be on The Simpsons. John, Edward and the Simpsons - we're best friends with Bart!"

Britain's Got Talent star Susan Boyle was namechecked by Homer Simpson in an episode of the Sky1 show earlier this year.

This Saturday's X Factor semi-final with have a Michael Jackson theme, say reports.
According to The Sun, the final four acts - Stacey Solomon, Joe McElderry, Olly Murs and Danyl Johnson - will all perform a track from the late singer's back catalogue. They will also sing a song of their own personal choice.
Jackson's sister Janet is performing on the Sunday's results show and is expected to giver her own verdict on the final four acts' performances.
"The Michael Jackson numbers will be huge crowd pleasers - and each contestant will want to do Janet and the Jackson family proud," said a source.

We might see some moonwalks - well surely Olly at least will make an effort :rolleyes:

Simon Cowell has reportedly picked Hannah Montana number 'The Climb' as this year's X Factor winner's song.

According to The Sun, the final four contestants started rehearsing their own versions of the track on Tuesday after Cowell made his final decision.

It is thought that Joe McElderry and Stacey Solomon put in impressive performances on the day, while Danyl Johnson and Olly Murs struggled with the ballad.

A source said: "It's a very girly song so Olly and Danyl weren't that great at it."

'The Climb', performed by Miley Cyrus in Hannah Montana: The Movie, was first tipped as the X Factor release last week. Journey's 1981 hit 'Don't Stop Believin' had also been named as a potential choice.

With only two weeks and six and a half more TV hours of X Factor to go, there's been a lot of speculation about this year's potential Winner's Song. Journey's 'Don't Stop Believin'' and Miley Cyrus's 'The Climb' are among the hot rumours at the moment, but we'll probably all have to wait at least another week before finding out Simon Cowell's musical pick for the 2009 Christmas number one. In the time being though, why not remind yourself of the history of the Winner's Song with our own handy neat guide?

Hear'Say: 'Pure and Simple'
OK, so Hear'Say may have had nothing to do with Simon Cowell or The X Factor, but this band and song were where pop reality TV really began. Danny, Noel, Kym, Suzanne and Myleene released this slice of cheesy pure pop (originally performed by short-lived '00s act Girl Thing) in 2001, hitting the top spot with 550,000 sales in the first week. Sounding like a mash-up of Oasis' 'All Around The World' and All Saints' 'Never Ever', it's naffness probably didn't help the group's faltering fortunes in the long run.

Will Young: 'Anything Is Possible/Evergreen'
Again, this wasn't strictly X Factor, but it was the first time Simon Cowell was directly involved in a reality show. Will may have been the surprise victor, overcoming favourite Gareth Gates in the final, but he had no problem in racing to number one with 403,027 copies sold on the day of release in February 2002. The Cathy Dennis-penned 'Anything' hasn't aged too well, but we've still got a soft spot for Mr Young's slick cover of 'Evergreen'.

Girls Aloud: 'Sound Of The Underground'
A winner's song with a difference - this one has actually lasted the test of time! Penned by pop producer genius Brian Higgins, it proved that with a bit of time and care - and a move away from corny ballads - a decent first track can help form the basis of long-term successful pop act. Plus, that spiky surf guitar twang still sounds as good now as when the girls played it in 2002. The less said about their rivals One True Voice's 'Sacred Trust' is probably for the best.

Michelle McManus: 'All This Time'
Pete Waterman stormed out of Pop Idol 2 when it was revealed that Michelle had beaten Mark Rhodes in the show's finale. Looking back, it's hard not to have sympathy for the pop guru, because this corny belter is simply awful. It spent three weeks at number one in January 2004, but sadly Michelle's lasting legacy will probably be as the inspiration for Peter Kay's spoof character Geraldine McQueen.

Steve Brookstein: 'Against All Odds'
Poor old Steve is often written out of X Factor history, but the history books will always state that he was the first winner. With 800,000 more votes than Alexandra Burke last year, he can't be dismissed as a lucky champ, either. His straight Phil Collins cover was not particularly exciting, though it showcased and suited Steve's soulful tones. Cowell and Brookstein may not be best buddies now, but for a brief period at the start of 2005 the duo were top of the charts and riding high.

Shayne Ward: 'That's My Goal'
'That's My Goal' was a relative experiment from Simon Cowell with a winner's track, using Jörgen Elofsson, Jem Godfrey and Bill Padley to pen an original number. Selling 742,180 in five days, it wiped the floor with Nizlopi in a dual for the festive number one. With corny lyrics ("I'm here to say I'm ready - that I've finally thought it through!") and a key change you can spot from a mile, it probably didn't trouble the Ivor Novello judges. Yet for anyone who watched the show in 2005, it will provide an emotional reminder about Ward's romp to victory.

Leona Lewis: 'A Moment Like This'
Thanks to the success of 'Bleeding Love', Leona became the first X Factor winner to produce a track that increased on the triumphs of her winner's song. However, 'A Moment Like This' is nothing to be ashamed of and Leona's gentle warbling proved a suitable accompaniment for the Kelly Clarkson tune. The lyrics may be a tad trite - and we're not sure if we could have stomached a Ray Quinn version - but this is a more than passable reality TV spinoff song, which Mr Cowell can be more than a little smug about.

Leon Jackson: When You Believe'
Another winner who is regularly brushed over by X Factor producers in montage sequences, Leon Jackson scored yet another number one for Syco with this Whitney and Mariah cover in 2007. It flogged 275,000 copies in the first week, but Leon's fragile vocals never suited the giant ballad. It was an odd song choice for such a young male singer, but then again, maybe Cowell expected another contestant to win the show - *cough* Rhydian *cough*.

Alexandra Burke: 'Hallelujah'
We reckon she's best off sticking with her slammin' Flo Rida-rapping bangers in the future, but Alex didn't embarrass herself first time out. After four straight number ones and ratings higher than ever, Cowell was probably pretty certain that he could count on a fifth straight winner's song chart-topper. But even with this considered, it was quite a brave move from the music mogul to dabble with a popular classic like 'Hallelujah'. Jeff Buckley and Leonard Cohen fans were not best pleased, but they could do little as the series five champ flogged a record-breaking 576,000 copies in the first week.

Oh please not "The Climb" Hannah Montana is on constantly in my house as it is. I couldn't stand it if Miley's song was no 1 at Christmas.

X Factor judge Louis Walsh has signed a deal with former contestants John & Edward.
Walsh, who mentored the twins during the ITV show, will now manage their careers and is currently looking into prospective record contracts and TV appearances for the pair, BBC News reports.
The Irish mogul said that he is "delighted" to be working with them again after they were voted off the show last month, but that it is "too early" to give any exact details on their future plans.
"Despite all the doubters, John & Edward proved themselves on The X Factor and I've always been convinced that they have a great career ahead of them," Walsh said. "I'm delighted that I'll be able to continue to work with the pair. We're looking into music as well as TV deals but at this stage it is too early to give any exact details."
All X Factor contestants are contracted by Modest Management, who represent the 12 finalists until the series ends. However, Walsh has come to an "amicable agreement" with the company, which has allowed him to take the twins on.
Walsh will co-manage the brothers with Ashley Tabor, CEO of broadcasting company Global Group.
"Jedward are this year's X Factor phenomenon and I'm thrilled to be able to put the scale of the Global Group behind them alongside Louis, developing what I am sure will be a great career for them both. It's an exciting future," Tabour added.

When Lady GaGa was told she could have whatever she wanted to make her X Factor performance spectacular, ITV wasn’t prepared for how outrageous she would be.

Like a kid in a sweet shop she got to work on her grand plan for this weekend’s show.

With a Poker Face the singer insisted she needed to have fluffy lambs and hundreds of butterflies floating around the stage as she performs Bad Romance.

But when talk of zoo keepers came about, beads of sweat started to form on Simon Cowell’s forehead.

As much as he would have loved the show turning into a circus, health and safety jobsworths came down on the plans like a ton of bricks.

Now the animals have been replaced with hordes of semi-naked male dancers in an outrageous GaGa-style extravaganza.

It’s not the first time the Just Dance singer has gone a bit lala with her demands. She wanted a lion to go on stage with her at MTV’s Video Music Awards but the request was declined.

An X Factor source said: “Simon wanted her on the show because he knows she will put 110 per cent into the performance.

“She has never done anything mediocre since she hit the charts.

“She is always way out there with her costumes and dance routines. But not even he was prepared for what she had in mind.

“He thought the animals request was a joke but then realised it was Lady GaGa.

“Simon is an animal lover and wasn’t against having the lambs running around, but he said no because of health and safety.

“After the MTV awards GaGa knew that getting animals on stage was a long shot but she was just pushing her luck.

“She had other ideas and she’s thrilled with what the X Factor team has gone with.

“People are still going to be stunned.”

The X Factor final four contestants performed a secret gig in Soho last night.

Stacey Solomon, Joe McElderry, Olly Murs and Danyl Johnson each performed two songs at the TalkTalk event and answered questions from journalists and competition winners.

McElderry predicted that Solomon would go on to win the ITV1 show, but the other three finalists all backed the North-Eastern singer to triumph.

Cheryl Cole's final remaining act also denied rumours that Miley Cyrus's 'The Climb' had been confirmed as this year's winner's song.

The X Factor semi-final kicks off on Saturday at 8pm on ITV1.

I am sure she washes her own hair herself but will have help styling it from a professional before she appears on tv or a magazine.

Sir Paul McCartney and George Michael have reportedly agreed to bring this year's X Factor to a climatic end.

Simon Cowell convinced the legends to sing live duets with finalists in next week's finale, and also hopes to land a third star for a showstopping spectacle.

Coldplay frontman Chris Martin is rumoured to be the man that Cowell hopes will complete the set, reports the Sunday Mirror.

A source said: "After last year's duets with Beyoncé, Boyzone and Westlife he knew he had to pull out all the stops to make this year's even better."

Joe McElderry was last night's favourite to win the show with odds of 8/11.

The X Factor live results show is on tonight at 7.30pm on ITV1.

Stacey Solomon in teeth torture

BRAVE Stacey Solomon battled through her X Factor performance last night suffering from an agonising mouth infection.

Show bosses had feared the single mum would have to pull out of the semi-final after she missed rehearsals because of the pain.

But Stacey, 20 - also covered in bruises from falling in dance practice - was dosed up with strong painkillers and belted out Jacko hit The Way You Make Me Feel.

Her worried mentor Dannii Minogue had written on Twitter yesterday: "Stacey has some infection with her wisdom teeth. Poor lady didn't get to do all her rehearsals. Hope she is better today."

But while Stacey thrilled fans in her sexy fishnets - the raunchy performance was lost on Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh.

Simon said: "It was fine, it just wasn't you. It was gimmicky, it was silly."

And Louis added: "She looked uncomfortable."

Danyl has a different and amazing voice.. Joe could be in Westlife and Stacey could be the next Alexander/Leona.. Olly is totally unique.. Olly should win this

It amazes me how she can claim the status she does.. she is only a new act.. and has one album (as far as I know) ... I don't think Beyonce (who in my opinion is much better and not unhinged) doesn't have the same diva persona that Gaga already has.. who's to say her next lot of stuff is not going to flop???

As much as I like her songs, she has become overrated i must admit. and last night proved she cant sing live either.
