Beckham angry over auction blunder
David Beckham is upset with a charity auction that offered a meeting with him as a prize without his agreement.
Mum Jeanne Kelly paid £3,500 for her son Conor to have a date with the England footballer, but the prize was cancelled by organisers at the last minute.
The auctioned prize also included VIP flights and a signed jersey.
Speaking to the New York Post, Kelly said: "They told me there was a breach of security and David's not doing it. They're keeping us in the dark. Conor is heartbroken... He's my son's hero."
Kelly's £3,500 bid was given to the Duchenne Musuclar Dystophy charity so she has not asked for it back.
Beckham's representative said: "We were not made aware of this charity package until the [New York Post] called us.
"It's not the first time that we've had disreputable individuals sell packages to honest people claiming a meet and greet with David, having not spoken to him or anyone from his team to agree it.
"As you know, David does a lot of incredible work for charities and it would mortify him that these agencies dupe people in such a way. We don't condone it at all."
A spokesperson for the auction said: "It was never intended to promote on David alone. There were internal issues."

Former children's TV star John Leslie arrested over new rape claim
Former Blue Peter presenter John Leslie was arrested last night on suspicion of rape.
The 43-year-old attended a police station after a woman came forward alleging he had raped and sexually assaulted her more than a decade ago.
Officers are known to have been investigating the claims since the end of last year.
Leslie attended an interview by appointment at Teddington police station, South-West London, yesterday morning.
Following extensive interviews he was arrested at 7pm last night and later released on bail and told to report back in August.
The woman in question claims that Leslie sexually assaulted and raped her in 1995.
It is thought that she contacted the Metropolitan Police late last year.
A police spokesman said: 'We are investigating an allegation of rape and indecent assault in November 1995.
'A man in his 40s was taken into a London police station where he was arrested following an interview. He was later released on bail and will attend a hearing in August.'
The arrest comes five years after Leslie, who also presented ITV's This Morning, was cleared of sexual assault charges by a judge at Southwark Crown Court, South London.
A number of women had come forward with claims against the television presenter over incidents which had allegedly taken place at parties or on dates.
But the judge cleared him of any wrongdoing and told him he could leave the court 'without a stain on his character'.
Tainted friendship: Leslie with Ulrika Jonsson on TV in 1993
Leslie's ordeal began in October 2002 when Ulrika Jonsson claimed in her autobiography that she was raped by an unnamed TV presenter 15 years earlier.
There was much media speculation and Matthew Wright, a former newspaper columnist, disclosed on his television show The Wright Stuff that Leslie was the alleged attacker.
Miss Jonsson refused to tell the public or the police whether the correct person had been named but would only say he was ' wellknown'.
As a result of the publicity, several other women made accusations relating to indecent assault by Leslie, who was charged with assaulting a woman twice between May 25 and May 28, 1997.
He was not charged with offences against Miss Jonsson.
The police dropped the charge against Leslie on July 31, 2003.
On the court steps after being cleared, Leslie said he had 'been to hell and back' and that he had ' maintained his innocence throughout'.
His television career has never recovered. It is not known if the new allegation has been made by a woman linked to the previous investigation or if it is an entirely new inquiry.
The woman making the allegations is not Miss Jonsson.
Leslie, who was born in Edinburgh, is a former boyfriend of Catherine Zeta- Jones and Abi Titmuss. Miss Titmuss was an unknown nurse until a sex tape of her and Leslie fell into the public domain.
A source close to Leslie said: 'He has now been accused again of rape and is devastated about it.
'John totally denies the accusation and believes he has been deliberately set up because of his past.
'He is co- operating fully with police and wants to get this out of the way as soon as possible so he can get on with his life.'
Leslie now lives in Scotland and works as a property developer.

Fleeshman confirmed for Elton tour
Richard Fleeshman will support Elton John on his summer arena tour.
The 19-year-old, first rumoured to be John's opening act in March, will play four solo dates in the UK this month before joining John as the support act at Swansea's Liberty Stadium on June 29.
Fleeshman called his opening slot "an amazing honour", adding: "Elton has always been an idol of mine but it is incredibly nerve-wracking as well. I'm going to ease myself into it by doing some warm up dates around the country before it. I cannot wait to go out there."
John said: "When I heard Neon [Fleeshman's debut album], I couldn't believe how mature the record sounded and how developed and accomplished Richard's songwriting is at such a young age. I was delighted to offer Richard a slot on my summer stadium shows."
Good on him, I liked him in Corrie and Soapstars, he is a good musician.
Matt and Flavia in the last tango
STRICTLY Come Dancing hunk Matt Di Angelo has split from dance partner Flavia Cacace, The Sun can reveal.
The 21-year-old former EastEnders star had been tangoing with Flavia, 28, since they met on the set of the BBC1 hit last autumn.
But he has now been spotted comforting singer Michelle Heaton, 27, who recently separated from her hubby of 19 months, Andy Scott-Lee, 28. Pals Matt and Michelle have been seen together at trendy London cocktail bar Mahiki.
Matt and Flavia’s romance caused ructions on the Strictly set as Flavia had been dating professional dance partner and Strictly star Vincent Simone, 29, for 11 years.
Matt and Flavia’s chemistry took them all the way to the show finals, although they eventually lost to Alesha Dixon, 29, and her partner Matthew Cutler, 34.
A source said last night: “It’s a huge shock to everyone and they are both devastated it’s over.
“Because they met on the set of Strictly their relationship got very intense very quickly.
“They were spending every day together and living in each other’s pockets. They became incredibly close.”
The magic continued for the pair while they competed together in the Strictly Come Dancing tour in January and February this year.
But since the show ended Flavia has been back dancing in the arms of Vincent, straining her relationship with Matt.
The insider added: “Everything was OK while they were dancing together but after Flavia started working with Vincent again things got a bit awkward.”
Aides of Matt and Michelle refused to comment last night.
finally - robbie is single again
Robbie Williams has split from his girlfriend Ayda Field, reports the Daily Mail.
Field, an aspiring actress, was reportedly upset by Williams's reluctance to embrace the Hollywood lifestyle.
A source close to the pair claimed that Williams preferred to stay at home and eat junk food instead of partying.
"Ayda was attracted to Robbie as he is vastly different to the average Los Angeles guy she is accustomed to, but in the end this was exactly what ended their relationship. He is just too different," the source explained.
"Robbie's indifference about the Los Angeles scene annoyed her. He was content to stay in eat junk food and watch DVDs while Ayda was yearning for some glamorous nights out.
"Ayda is hungry to advance in her career and that means schmoozing the right people. But Robbie doesn't care about that."
Williams previously dated Nicole Appleton, Geri Halliwell and Rachel Hunter.

“They could be real contenders.”

Angie Admitted To Maternity Hospital
Angelina Jolie has gone into the hospital in the south of France where she expects to give birth to twins.
A spokeswoman for the Lenval Hospital in Nice said the actress was fine and that everything was going well.
She said Angelina was admitted so she could be kept under surveillance, and not to give give birth immediately.
She said the actress' admittance to the hospital's maternity wing had been planned for some time.
Angelina, 33, and boyfriend Brad Pitt, 44, already have four children - adopted sons Maddox, six, and Pax, four, adopted daughter Zahara, three, and one biological child, two-year-old daughter Shiloh.
Earlier this month Angelina revealed she and Brad want to make sure their older children feel included after the babies are born.
"They're old enough to feel included to change diapers themselves, to feed bottles themselves, like if I pump into a bottle. We're trying to find ways where it can be a fun group thing," she said.
Debra Stephenson to join 'Strictly'
Debra Stephenson is in talks to appear on Strictly Come Dancing, according to The Sun.
The 36-year-old, best known for her role as Frankie Baldwin in Coronation Street, reportedly met with BBC producers to discuss taking part in the show.
EastEnders actress Emma Barton (Honey Mitchell) is also rumoured to be in line to star.
Stephenson will appear in the new series of Celebrity Masterchef, which begins tonight on BBC One.
She previously turned down the opportunity to compete in I'm A Celebrity, opting instead to do pantomime
The new series of Strictly Come Dancing will air this September
Carey's marriage 'on the rocks'
Mariah Carey's marriage to Nick Cannon is in trouble after just two months, reports claim.
The couple, who wed in April after a five-week romance, are said to be at loggerheads over the singer's controlling behaviour.
A source told OK!: "Nick is basically around to attend to her diva-ish ways. When they were in Hawaii where Mariah was filming the video for 'I'll Be Lovin' U', Nick dashed off to buy her gifts at Tiffany and Co. and Louis Vuitton to keep her happy."
The insider claimed that Carey is intent on controlling her new husband's hip-hop career, saying: "Nick had signed on to perform at a sweet 16 party before he and Mariah got married. But now Mariah needs to oversee and approve his career moves.
"There are no more silly small-time gigs. She wants him to do big venues and projects. She definitely wears the pants in the relationship."
Carey's representative has denied the reports.
Angelina's Twins Born In 'Weeks'
Angelina Jolie's twins may take a few more weeks to arrive, her doctor has said.
Dr Michel Sussmann said Angelina is doing fine during a short news conference today in Nice, France, where the actress is in a hospital.
Asked when the US actress is expected to have her twins, he replied: "I can't give you a date. Let's say the birth will happen in the weeks to come."
Dr Sussmann stressed that Angelina checked into the hospital to be kept under observation, not because of any medical emergency.
"Mrs Angelina Jolie and her husband, Brad Pitt, told me to tell you that she is doing absolutely fine," said the doctor, apparently unaware that the stars are not married.
"Her admittance to hospital at this stage in her pregnancy is totally normal for a patient who had a Caesarean during her first pregnancy," he said.
French medical secrecy laws are strict, but Dr Sussmann said that the famous couple had given him the OK to give out a few details about her pregnancy.
The doctor denied some media reports that the whole fifth floor of the hospital had been given over to the Jolie-Pitt clan. He said they had reserved just four rooms, for them and their bodyguards.
"She is a patient like any other," he said. "She is very well and she is OK."
He would not reveal the sex of the babies.
See now this last part confuses me, I get OK! magazine every week (sad I know!) and in the OK! USA bit, it was going on about how Shiloh want's her baby sisters and this is coming from Angie herself. :hmm:
Eubank Giving Away Two Sons
Eccentric boxing legend Chris Eubank has secretly GIVEN AWAY his two teenage sons, The People can reveal.
The ex-world middleweight hero handed over Christopher Junior and Sebastian to an American woman for adoption after a bizarre chance meeting in a hotel in Paris.
Chris, 41, and ex-wife Karron, 42, were convinced the incredible deal would give their troubled boys - who featured in TV Channel Five's At Home With The Eubanks - a better life.
Christopher, now 18, and Sebastian, 16, have flourished in Las Vegas under the care of single mum Irene Hutton - with the oldest set to follow his dad's glittering career which began at a boxing club in New York.
But sadly Chris, a £1.3million bankrupt who leads an almost gypsy life-style travelling the world and staying at the homes of wealthy pals, has only returned to Irene's home once in two years to see his sons.
Now Irene, 51, has decided to break her pledge of silence over the strange adoption in a bid to make the flamboyant sports star face up to his responsibilities.
Speaking exclusively to The People, Irene said: "It sounds incredible - and it is.
"I have become the boys' mother only after a chance meeting with their father in a hotel in Paris.
"It has been almost two years now since he gave me the children.
"In that time Chris has only been out here once to see them as far as I am aware.
"He was adamant that the entire adoption was kept secret and initially I agreed.
"But now after almost two years of no input from him I want the world to know what he is like."
Recalling the bizarre hotel meeting on January 30, Irene said: "I was sitting in the lounge when this man strode up to me and said 'Hello, I'm Christopher Livingstone Eubank'.
"When I asked him what he did for a living he just said 'I am an ambassador'. I had no idea who he was but we sat chatting until the early hours.
"He revealed how he had just gone through a very bitter divorce and that he had financial problems. I too had just got divorced.
We swapped numbers and that was the last I thought I would hear from him."
But monocle-wearing Chris, the self-styled Lord of The Manor of Brighton, began phoning Irene regularly.
Irene said: "In July 2006 he asked if he could bring Sebastian over to America for a brief holiday.
"I agreed but just days before he arrived he told me he was bringing his other son Chris Jnr over with him as well and both boys were going to stay with me.
"I was shocked but again I agreed and they spent the next two weeks with me in Las Vegas.
"They loved staying out here and it became clear that they were not happy at home and did not see a future for themselves in Britain.
"Then after they flew home I got a call from Chris and the subject of me raising his boys came up.
"Chris was really keen on the idea and within a few weeks, on September 22, 2006, he turned up on my doorstep with the two boys then left after a couple of days. He wanted them to grow up in America and wanted me to adopt them."
On November 2, 2006 Irene became the boys' court-appointed legal guardian. The adoption was formalised by a judge in Nevada's family court division last July.
Ex-wife Karron, who divorced Chris in 2005 after 16 years' marriage because of his increasingly eccentric behaviour, wrote to the judge from her home in Hove, East Sussex.
The mum who also has a daughter Emily, 14, and son Joe, 11, said: "My former husband is without a home, I don't know if he works but he travels a great deal visiting his friends and acquaintances.
"He calls the children occasionally. The calls come in from various cities, New York, Las Vegas, Paris, London, Moscow, Dubai.
"He talks to the children for about an hour then he leaves. He does not fulfil his obligations as a father and does not help me in any way."
Karron has visited the boys in Las Vegas three times since the move and Sebastian is currently holidaying with her in Spain.
Irene said: "The boys can come and go as they please because I allowed full access to both Karron and Chris in the adoption.
"It is not a question of me not letting them see their parents - in fact I actively encourage it."
Meanwhile Irene has handled the boys brilliantly.
Chris Jnr has won a place at business college but is also forging his way as a boxer like his father. He has already won a bout in the national amateur Golden Gloves contest - his dad won a New York version in 1984. And Sebastian hopes to be a pro US football player. Chris Jnr is still proud of his father and his MySpace website contains footage of his father boxing in his prime.
A close friend of Eubank said last night: "He saw them briefly in Las Vegas this April when he went to watch Joe Calzaghe fight Bernard Hopkins. He saw them for an hour or so. Chris's life is chaotic and he lives here, there and everywhere."
But Irene said: "I took on two young men who were hungry for a better future. I did this for love but the way Chris is behaving is really pushing me to the limit.
"They have the physical attributes of their father, they are both strong, athletic and hungry for success but they also need love and emotion.
This is what is lacking from Chris."
The Ex-wife says 'My children asked to go, we looked at ways they could go and we all agreed on doing it'
Karron Eubank has spoken about her decision to allow her two eldest sons to be adopted - and says she has their best interests at heart.
Karron said she signed adoption papers after Chris Jnr and Sebastian asked to move to America to be educated.
The mum of four insisted: "They are there to go to school, get their trade and come home.
"It's bits of paper that are neccessary to go to school out there. Schooling here is crap but at the end of the day we all know what we are doing and that's all that matters to me."
Karron added: "As far as I'm concerned I have supported my children and I still do support my children financially and in every other way.
"If I need to sign a piece of paper so they can go to school there and have a friend look after them - not financially or in any other way - just literally look after them while they are there then that is what I do.
"To be honest I don't really care what people think because of I have lived through years of this. The reasons we did everything we did was so they could pursue what they are doing in the US.
"My children asked to go, we looked at the ways they could go, we looked at the ways they could stay, and we all agreed on helping them do what they wanted to do and what they love to do.
"They are doing exceedingly well and a damn sight better than they would in England.
"We look at it as a piece of paperwork to sustain what my boys want to do, and that's it.
"If you want to boil it down Irene looks after my children while they are in the US, I pay the bills, I pay everything and they come and go as they please but they are doing what they want to do.
"And as a mother that is what I intend to do for the rest of their lives, to get them to be able to do what they want to do.
"I've been divorced for three years. I am a single mum and I do what I do to the best of my abilities."
Chris Jnr and Sebastian wrote emotional letters to the US family judge handling their case.
Sebastian wrote: "I love my Mum a lot and I know it was hard for her to make the decision, but she knows that Irene will not do us wrong.
"If I was still back living with my Mum I would be spending too much time on the streets with the wrong company and doing the wrong things."
Chris Jnr said: "My mother was having a hard time looking after four children."
'It sounds incredible but now I want the world to know what Chris is really like'

'Bourne again - the Osbournes to host variety show
THE chaotic Osbourne family are heading back to telly screens — as hosts of a VARIETY show.
It will feature Ozzy and his clan performing comedy skits and introducing music acts.
The series will be the first time Sharon, Ozzy, 59, and kids Kelly, 23, and Jack, 22, have worked together since their chaotic hosting of the Brit Awards in February.
Last night a TV source said: “This show is going to reunite the family with all the madness that that entails.
“It’s going to be in the same vein as an old-fashioned variety show.”
A pal of Sharon, 55, said she was “really excited” about the series after quitting as an X Factor judge last month.
It is being made by US arm of FreemantleMedia, the production giant that owns TalkbackThames — makers of the X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent.
It is tipped to be sold to the US Fox network.
The show is the clan’s first series since MTV’s fly-on-the-wall The Osbournes, which ran from 2002 to 2005.
Sugar in plane crash near Manchester
Sir Alan Sugar escaped unhurt when his light aircraft crashed at an airfield near Manchester.
The plane landed at City of Manchester Airport during a thunderstorm, overshot the runway and hit a rut in the ground.
It stopped just short of the perimeter fence and could not fly again because of damage to its propeller.
"We landed and ran over the end of the slippery runway by about 15 feet into some taller grass," the Apprentice star told the Press Association.
"In doing so, the propeller of the plane picked up some minor damage and according to the rules this means the plane can't fly unless checked out by a qualified engineer, of which there were none available."
Sir Alan went on to play down reports that he had "cheated death", saying: "As far as 'life-threatening' is concerned, to put things in perspective my friend and I had as much chance of dying from the incident as we did in dying from food poisoning from the tuna sandwich that a very nice lady made us in the clubhouse whilst we waited for a mate to pick us up and take us home."

NICOLE KIDMAN's father has solved the mystery behind his newborn granddaughter's name.
The Hollywood actress' dad has revealed that it was inspired by Australian artist SIDNEY NOLAN's muse SUNDAY REED.
While celeb watchers around the globe puzzled over Kidman and her country husband KEITH URBAN's unusual choice of name for their baby, Sunday Rose Kidman Urban, Antony Kidman revealed he and his wife had suggested it.
He said: "There was a lady named Sunday Reed who was a prominent patron of the arts in Victoria," Dr Kidman said from his practice in Lane Cove.
"I have read a bit about Sunday Reed and her husband John - she was a key mover and shaker in the arts around the beginning of the century. The name Sunday struck me as being a nice name for a woman, so my wife and I mentioned it."
