Kelly Rutherford is reportedly being sued by a private detective she hired to spy on her ex husband.
The Gossip Girl star, who plays Lily Humphrey on the teen show (the mother of Blake Lively's character, Serena), apparently racked up bills for private eye Edward Banach's services totaling $86,249.85, but only paid the investigator $28,214.35.
According to the lawsuit obtained by US gossip site TMZ, Rutherford had enlisted Banach's help to track the movements of her former husband Daniel Giersch in April 2010 "in relation to certain issues regarding child custody and other matters."
But Banach, who was apparently sub-contracted through a since defunct security company, is suing his former business, as well as Rutherford, to recover the remaining $58,000 he claims he is owed.
Rutherford admitted during the height of her legal battle with Giersch that she had hired a private detective.
"I was concerned about my son's safety," she said at the time.

Hollywood's hottest couple Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds were married this weekend.
A source has confirmed to People magazine that the couple, who have been dating for just under a year, exchanged vows on Sunday.
Blake's good friend Florence Welch lent her vocals for the occasion, singing three of her hits at the reception.
The couple first met when working on 2011's The Green Lantern together.
The couple met when working together on 2011 film 'The Green Lantern'.
Both stars have kept tight lipped over their relationship since getting together.
The couple recently bought a house together in New York so marriage was clearly always going to be the next step.
This is the second marriage for Ryan who was previously married to Scarlett Johansson, with the two divorcing in 2010.
Blake had been previously linked to her Gossip Girl co-star Penn Badgely before starting up a romance with Reynolds.
The next year looks to be a busy one for the couple with Ryan set to star in four films while Blake is currently finishing filming for the last series of Gossip Girl.
Ryan's ex wife Scarlett Johansson was spotted last week getting cosy with former flame Jared Leto while at a political rally.

Series six:
Gone Maybe Gone.
Six years after the first Gossip Girl blast rocked the Upper East Side — and viewers at home — GOSSIP GIRL, a one-hour drama about the scandalous lives of Manhattan’s elite, returns for an unforgettable final season.
Season six begins with the Upper East Siders working together to find one of their own. Serena van der Woodsen (series star BLAKE LIVELY) has gone off the grid, beyond even the reach of Gossip Girl. Her friends fear for the worst and hope for the best, but even they can’t imagine where they will ultimately find her. Meanwhile, Blair Waldorf (series star LEIGHTON MEESTER) has offered Chuck Bass (series star ED WESTWICK) her heart, but is her love enough to help him win back his empire? Dan Humphrey (series star PENN BADGLEY), aka Lonely Boy, is writing a new book that promises to make even more trouble than the first, and this time he has no desire to remain anonymous. Nate Archibald (series star CHACE CRAWFORD) is determined to finally reveal the true identity of Gossip Girl, thereby making a name for The Spectator — and himself. Lily van der Woodsen (series star KELLY RUTHERFORD) and Rufus Humphrey (series star MATTHEW SETTLE) turn on one another when Rufus makes a surprising new ally who threatens Lily and her family. And, always ready with a scheme, Ivy Dickens (series star KAYLEE DeFER) is prepared to stir up trouble. Anywhere else it would be too much drama to handle, but this is the Upper East Side. XOXO.
In the sixth season premiere, after a brief encounter abroad, Chuck and Blair make a promise to each other about their relationship … which leaves them once again apart. Dan, with some help from an unlikely ally, Georgina Sparks (recurring guest star MICHELLE TRACHTENBERG), is writing a scathing tell-all book that can only mean trouble. Meanwhile, as the sole head of The Spectator, Nate is making his own decisions and is ready to go up against Gossip Girl. As word spreads that Serena is missing, the gang bands together to find her and are shocked by what they find. Recurring guest stars also include BARRY WATSON (7th Heaven, Samantha Who?) as Steven, ANDREA GABRIEL (Lost) as Amira, ROBERT JOHN BURKE (Person of Interest, Rescue Me) as Bart Bass and SOFIA BLACK-D’ELIA (Skins) as Sage.
