belle and sam out of hospital very very fast
Just how thick is Rebeccah?? ffs
13/14-year old girl goes soliciting by choice?? Was that judge or solicitor one of her clients??? ffs
smug ******* bails thinks he has won, hope not and he goes down
Isnt it all coming down to Charity not reporting rape within 1 year of it happening? Thus allowing Bails to say it was consequential and slide under the law back then about her being a minor.
Lucky ... oh boy where did he hire nurse Ratchet from?
I ponder if the producers initialy where going to get rid of Rebbeca but realised they had by accident created a comedy genius character.
Surely Bails is guilty of statutory rape, regardless of the circumstances in which it took place? Charity was under age at the time so even if it had been consensual it would still be considered rape by the law.
This is an extract from legal statute emerald, and is as you say "Currently, the age of consent for penetrative sex, oral sex and mutual masturbation in the United Kingdom is 16 years. If any individual has sex with someone under this age, then he or she may be charged with a criminal offence and may receive a 14-year prison sentence or if they are under 18 a 5-year prison sentence.[15] Similarly, the Sexual Offences Act 2000 prohibits a person in a position of trust from performing sexual acts with someone who cannot consent, which includes minors and "very vulnerable people".
Bails seems to be using a consent loop hole where for some reason that can be 14yrs, all very confusing ?
Yes!!!!! Guilty, Guilty, Guilty, Guilty!!!!! :D
First verdict-----:thumbsdow
The rest ------ :cheer::cheer::cheer::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup :
Ah bless Emerdale, sentencing passed the same day as the trial.. they dont even do that in a magistrate court:cartman:
Caine becoming increasingly soft and touchy feelie.
Why are the police always shown as being so thick. Belle said Lauchlan told her he was responsible for his families deaths, he did not tell her he had caused the crash. You can feel responsible for things happening without directly causing them to happen, which is what Belle thought he meant.
Surely this Rebecca hostage plot has gone on for long enough and needs finalising. I wonder if the character is leaving and a lot of time in-fill is underway?
Are those straps meant to stop Rebecca getting out of bed, because she can touch her hands together so could easily undo them. If they decide to keep her prisoner at least make it real. She could hide behind the door and hit the nurse over the head with something and escape.
What kind of nurse would take on a "job" like that anyway, regardless of how much Lachlan is paying her?
Did Lachlan tell Robert the full truth about Rebecca, did he name the nurse?
Rebecca returns , didn't take long to get back and reunite with Seb ? Be hopes "Nurse Ratched" gets locked up pdq , no excuses to let her off the hook.
bex returns in the graveyard
She looked so ghostly I was half expecting her to start singing Kate Bush's "Wuthering Heights"...
Duane, you are not blood related to Seb so keep ya neb out it you annoying moo.
So was the kid doing a Skippy, going for help or just off to the pub.
I recon Ryan will save the day re Ross.
I do wish Soaps would stop continually using the phrase 'cold blood murder' when most of the killings are 'hot blooded'. Many of the murders we see happen in anger, unintentionally, or even accidentally it is only when characters try, unnecessarily in some cases, to cover them up that they come to be seen as murder.
Just seen another case of someone accidentally overhearing something they shouldn't have, how many times do writers use this.
I'm getting fed up with Charity and Ross indulging in their self pity, people come back from wars with worse injuries than him and get on with their lives. As for Charity I have never liked her character, even tho' she was abused and I should feel sorry for her I don't think it excuses her behaviour.
no dingle court for debbie and joe but for charity
The Dingle court thing really annoys me, as does the whole concept of the Dingle clan being all about "family" as Zak has insisted on many occasions over the years. Where was that sense of family when Charity was being kicked out at 13 or when Shadrach was being violent to Faith and later to Cain? "Times were different then" isn't really an excuse - the Dingles have never had any qualms about operating outside of the law so why would the morals of the time have bothered them?
I'm surprised Charity ever settled in Emmerdale in the first place, considering the family she feels let her down were living there. I wonder how much of her backstory was planned from the start and how much was added on later?
could kathleen still be alive, no body found?
I was mostly wondering why nobody in that big extended family could take Charity in as a teenager. The Dingles have never had any problems seeking revenge on various characters who they feel were responsible for the deaths of "one of their own" (Zak's sons Ben and Butch for example) yet they have other family members suffer in silence, like Charity and Faith. (both female characters, but hopefully that's a coincidence...)
The women in the Dingle family are treated badly
Chas debuted as a stripper for Ashley
Charity debuted as a lady of the night with Chris Tate
Debbie in foster care
I am enjoying Charity's storyline and I think her father could be a good addition, I do find Vanessa annoying, too involved, just irritating me
i understand why vic is angry, she has a right to be
many missing the joint stag, cain, sam and of course lachlan :p robron karaoking well that was not camp at all
Has Vic really got a right to be angry? Her so called love of her life was a thug and a person who slept around even when he was with her. He chased Emma with a loaded shot gun with intent leaving his Mum injured without calling for help. Vic without all the facts goes straight to the police trying to clear the name of a bloke who left her without a thought so now his mum her brother Cain and Aaron could all go to prison because she is on a moral pilgrimage.
Its not long ago she mowed down Ashley in her car and tried to dodge the law.
Please could someone tell the actor who plays Aaron to cheer the F up.. all his lines are delivered in such a depressive tone its getting so boring.
What did anyone think of the last two episodes with Chas and Paddy having to say goodbye to little Grace? Personally I thought they were sad but very moving. The only problem I would have is the constant use of dream/what if sequences - maybe just one of these scenes would have been enough. I'm glad it centred mostly on this storyline instead of being mixed in with others.
What was the operation that they took Grace away for?
