Matty, come on my friend, keep the faith, tonight to me was a realisation of Robert's true intentions and love, its not Lawrence, PD or the Whites' .... It is Aaron, he is totally lost and alone without him, I am going to be bold (and I hate this plot with the vilest venom) but IM may have been quite clever and this is Robert's true redemption with happiness with Aaron in the future. We have suffered 9 months of absolute rubbish but I am seeing a degree of light coming soon.

Hi Matty - you’ve been the one of the ones that has kept my faith that things will improve so please don’t leave now. I have been very close this last few weeks to just giving up on it, and even though this baby thing has been a pain and so badly done and no definite parentage has been established (yet), what was actually getting me close to the giving up was the Lawrence & Robert relationship thing, which I have always had a bad feeling about (wrong thing to portray with the type of viewers that ED has and the time slot), but luckily after tonight that has been put to rest, thank goodness. This is now all a start on redeeming Robert and making him realise that he has to change and that will be the catalyst to him & Aaron getting back on track and I think he has set the ball rolling that the Whites are going to fall out amongst themselves and that will lead to their departure and our boys reuniting and rebuilding their lives together - hopefully without a child in tow but even if he is there they will be strong enough to get through it together. We know the road is probably still going to be bumpy but at least we can see a little glimmer of light at the end of what has been a very, very long tunnel. So please stay around - we’ve got a wedding to look forward too. :heart :🙂Quote:

Ryan had chance to show amazing range of emotions for Robert in that hour and pulled it off fantastically. Such a talented actor. The birth clearly affected Robert and I thought from the pics there would be more of him cuddling Seb but maybe that's tonite. no probs with that cos I've no doubt where its all going to end.
the birth also had clear effect on Aaron and I so get it he's tumbled up inside with all sorts of emotions cos he loves Robert and meant that about him being a great dad but it still hurts lots and its made him think on, so when he gets back to the scarp yard he would normally have gone mad at Gerry for damaging his car but he's got that thought like life's just too short for all that
Liv clearly got it. You can just see the look in here eyes and course while you shouldn't wish death on your worst enemy (says my gran) she is just being loyal to her brother in what she said to Robert, the man who broke his heart, so you can't really criticise her for being like that and yet complain about people calling Robert out before when he was being nasty to her, trying to shut her up from revealing to Rebecca that he said he always loved Aaron
I actually felt bit sorry for Lawrence last nite Don but everyone can have their own views
anyway all this bonding so quickly just make me even more sure than ever that Robert is not the dad. It will twist and turn with him rejecting him and then accepting him and then somehow it being beyond doubt that he's not, and then he'll be completely broken before going into the new year with new beginnings for both of them :heart:

So i was on delay tonight because interruptions and then i watched footy so only got to watch not long ago.
Anyway im getting whiplash from the sudden changes in narrative. They literally painted Robert as the big bad one for months and then suddenly expect everyone to about turn the minute he held the baby? I never saw Robert as the big bad but even im struggling with the lightning fast pace of this. From what i've seen it's certainly worked on many of the GA which is probably what they were going with but you know they could just have avoided villainising him in the first place maybe? Hell maybe he could have been shown to be interested more genuinely instead of it being part of his scheme. It's just jarring.
The scrapyard scenes show only Aaron can get through to Robert.
I see people making it a contest again "oh Robert says the baby is it for him now" etc, Aaron already had this speech with Liv so i don't know why or how people can complain. Neither Robert or Aaron are going to make each other their priority at this stage when they've been split up for months when there are 2 children to consider.
