Sounds like you have had a fun few days. Mine have been ok actually. THe damn builders are still here and they are doing my head in. Theres so much noise. They keep drilling. The whole kitchens gone so i cant find anything to eat. The sooner it gets finished the better, is all i can say but they not started on the roof yet so i reckon it will be a while.Quote:

this evening all my mates have gone to the nightclub on campus but i had to go to see this stupid show for my course so i couldnt go with them! :( so now im here all by myself while theyre out having fun, and the show was rubbish, one of the most dreadful things ive ever seen, so im not happy about missing a night out! :angry:
though today i got an email through from this agency for film and tv extras. its an agency just for students and they can get you work on all different types of film and tv programmes and they pay between £70 and £150 a day! they want people from my area to be in this new film about henry VIII and its like a big film, apparently its got natalie portman, scarlett johannsen (sp?) and some guy from the hulk (eric someone?) in it. so ive signed up with them, it sounds really exciting, if they think you look the part then you get in! and not just this film, its for anything else they might need you for so thats quite good :D also today i signed up to do this questionnaire tomorrow and i get £2 for taking part lol!
well i have just been woken up this morning to a severe thunderstorm with thunder and lightening and the road was flooded for a while, hope the day improves and we dont get any more! i hate thunderstorms!
Just been to school and got moaned at today, so I'm not very happy. The weather isn't any good either. A night of revision and homework ahead for me as I have two science modules coming up soon and one of my teachers is absolutely useless.
Okay, If you don't want to read a lengthy rant, don't scroll down.
In English we have to write up our original writing coursework by hand, in the lessons. I hate writing by hand, it hurts and I'm a slow writer, so I'm rushing as we have to have it done in 2 lessons time. It's all part of the controlled coursework, which is like the worst idea ever. I'm making enough mistakes and having to cross them out as tippex is not allowed, so it's a mess, and then there is the state of my writing as I have to write as quickly as possible. But the class will not shut up and they know that handwriting is my weakness. So they know I've been bullied and then think "Oh, lets make a load of noise so Kim can't work, that's like the ultimate way to make her suffer because she actually cares what she gets in her GCSEs." So I'm starting again and again, but I don't have time to do that any more and it is a right mess, I've got arrows all over the place and it looks like a draft. So the examiners won't be impressed by my handwriting, so I'll get marked down. The thought of the whole controlled coursework thing makes me want to throw up, and I feel like crying the whole time. I want to take English for A level, so it's not like I can afford any mistakes.
Science is only going to be worse, as there is no draft.
I'm fed up with the bullying, talking behind my back and being pushed around like a shopping trolley. I was going to Media today and these boys that I don't know the names of were treating me like I was a buffalo in the American west or something, and the lot of them bowled into me at once and nearly had me flying down a whole flight of stairs backwards, and I would have easily broken my back, had I of fallen. I was that close. And one of them tried to walk off with my bag.
I hate my tutor. They changed at the beginning of the year and I haven't really got on with him. We were doing an activity about assertiveness, and had a sheet to do. We had to fill in in accordance with the options, what we thought we were in a load of categories. There was also a column for us to get someone to fill it in, and this girl that has in the past non stop bullied me for a year and a half, went up to the tutor and said that she had offered to do mine, as my only friend in the group was absent. A complete load of rubbish. So he came up to me and asked why I didn't let her do it. So I said that I didn't care what anyone in the room at the time thought, because I've been bullied so much. If he actually bothered to ask the old tutor he would know about it. Instead he had a go at me saying that I was being rude. Also, his room is upstairs and he wouldn't swap rooms, so I have to register in an office as I can't go up and down the stairs all the time for morning registration.
The whole controlled coursework is just pathetic. So what if people cheat? The majority of people that cheat end up with a lower grade through cheating anyway, because essays etc from the internet are rubbish. I just can't cope with it, I feel bad enough about myself with all the bullying anyway, and it's making it 10 times worse. I wouldn't go and talk to my tutor if I was paid to, and I'd give anything to be in year 11 now so that I didn't have to do controlled coursework in some subjects.

Sounds like youve had a bit of a pants day. What year are you in 11 or 10? I think the whole controlled coursework thing i thought the point was that you had to be quiet when you did it. It was at my school. can you not ask you teacher to go in at a break when its quiet and ask them to control it then and explain that you struggle with your handwriting. just do you best and ignore what the bullies say there usually the one that end up in a council house with a kid when your out with people like yourself are wanting to do well in life.
About your tuter situation when i was at school i hated mine with a vengence and i just went to someone higher like the head of Year of Deputy or Head of Keystage. Try to find a memeber of staff you can trust and see if they can help you. I know its a lot harder and you probably dont think this is much help as i never met you so if you think that then just ignore what i say, Its just my opinion.
Just try and get your head down and the time will fly by.
Is all coursework controlled and if it is, since when has this been the rule??
It's just the writing up of English and all of the Science. Everything will be controlled or exam by 2009. This is especially bad for me as I want to do an English A level and English and Science are two out of the three subjects that my highest prediction (that I know of), is in.Quote:

I dont think that colleges will stop you doing English A Level if thats what you want to do. Just do your best im sure your going to pass them all. I mean the coursework marks for Handwriting etc are minute. They wont really have much affect on your grade.
I like it all that perfect though that the few marks for handwriting mean a lot to me. Also, I missed a grade C in a mock by 1 mark so it was annoying, especially if I was actually to miss a certain grade on coursework by 1 or a few marks.
That could have been harsh marking, i mean examiners wont mark you down for bad handwriting, my mate has the worst writing ever and he did really well. I think a quiet word with your english teacher is needed, tell them what you have written on the thread how you feel your writing is letting you down and that you dont think that it is making the coursework good. You never know there may be something they could do.
i doubt theyll mark you down for your handwriting. unless its changed since i took my gcses as long as they can read what youve written it doesnt matter. also, if you get extra time in exams then id have thought youd be allowed extra time for this so id ask your teacher. and id have thought that the class should be silent as its controlled cw so tell your teacher and if they dont care talk to the head of english, but if they dont have to be silent theres not much you can do, and im sure they arent talking just to annoy youQuote:

on saturday i went out for a meal for my mums bday and one of my old friends who i went to school with was waitressing there at the restaurant. hadnt seen her for nearly 2 and a half years so it was really nice to catch up with her. shes going to come down and see me at uni cos one of our other friends also goes to the same uni as me (something i didnt know til i bumped into her the other week cos i hadnt seen her in ages either!) and another one of our friends goes to the other uni in canterbury so we are all gonna go out together and catch up! im going to speak to the girl who goes to my uni cos she kept in contact with one of our other friends and im going to see if i can contact some other people and we can all catch it. itll be so weird all going out together again, but i cant wait til we do! its strange cos i keep bumping into people who ive lost contact with! :D
I was told that the room was his fault because he was asked to swap but refused. Sorted my English courswork out; am getting extra time. Had a better day today, I found out I got an A in my History exam and I wasn't far off an A* so I'm well chuffed; was expecting a C but I wanted a B.Quote:

OMG< i think i will go and push the flaming builder of the flaming roof if he doesnt stop with the awful noise. I gave a print off of my UCAS form into my tuter so i have to see if its ok andthen it will get sent off to the unis im so scared.
My final Choices are Law at Oxford Brookes, Chester, Bangor, Lancaster, and Staffordshire and Law and Criminal Justice at Bangor.
Once this is sorted i can focus ion trying to get the grades. If not its another year at college.
Lol yeah, builders are so annoying. They've gone and shoved a load of scaffolding up at my school and they've not even started; it's blocking the path.
Hmm, we have exams at college atm so i've been doing a lot of revision for them! So annoying to have them now, so close to the start of the year and we've got to do well as they will be our grades to put on our UCAS forms, as predicted grades. It's so tiring, but tomorrow i'm going to a sleepover and we're gonna do an all nighter and i can't wait:D!
oo, i not done an all nighter in ages, actually i lie, i did an all weekender on the 9 september when we went camping.

I got a family party tomorrow, im really looking forward to it, im happy my family are all nearly alcoholics as they certainly know how to have a good time. It will be mint meeting up with my cousins again. Only problem i have to find something to wear.
Well it wasn't quite an all nighter, we got bored of monopoly by midnight and then we fell asleep whilst watching the nightmare before xmas, but it seemed really good! So i'm just going to bed soon, I'm really tired!
Well Today I went to visit my grandpas grave as he's 69 today and it was nice and peaceful and i really miss him now. I put down wooden roses and my grandma (His Wife)Put down Roses (real) and a diffrent kind of flowers which i do not know what they are. Then As we were about to leave we tried the toilets but they were closed so i told my grandma that i would be back and to meet me at the car and i headed back to his grave and quietly (so i didn't seem like a weirdo) sang happy birthday to him and asked him to look after my grandma for me because i am worried about her and even through we have arguments i love her loads. Then i went to my great grandpas grave (He has this marble headstone and the marble Came from Italy!!) well anyway lay down some roses said a prayer for him and walked out the cemetry so really that's my day it might seem sad but it was nice.
nice and peaceful. I hate cemetrys myself we just go and put down flowers then i try and disappear as they really scare me.
I am so tired, have to completed the final draft of my Psych coursework, could be interesting as i didnt get in till erm, 7 hours ago, so i am shattered. It was one hell of a party though, it was so funny.
The DJ was like an elvis impersonator that played silly games and at the end when no one could really stand up we had to sing a load of songs that he had put the words on big sheets, like My my my delilalh. It was a great now, pity im paying the price now.
It will also teach me for leaving my work till the last minute.
Did pointe work yesterday (ballet on the tips of your toes) and now i have a blister on my toe and its really sore.
Looking forward to this upcoming week....off to see Nigel (again :angel: ) in his new play, which by all accounts is amazing!!!
Also going to see a friend who i haven't seen in a while and going to see Chicago too!! :cheer:
It Is I Know I am a very weird person but it is nice and peacefulas nobody actually says something mean to you in a cemetry because its a place where the dead are and well anyway i think that's just me who thinks cemetrys are peaceful :rolleyes:

It doesn't seem like it's half term for me, I have quite a lot of homework. Almost finished two pieces off today, only another two to go! I'm going shopping on Saturday but I would have rather gone on the Friday just gone as it wouldn't have been so busy but I don't seem to have any TD Days the same as my friends this year :angry:
Had the best day :rotfl: Just went into town with a group of mates but we had the funniest time. We also went to the cinema and had such a laugh, and tomorrow i'm off to see Nigel :thumbsup: Yey!
having a good day today was doing an ECDL computing Course as it's part of Catering but i had to return to college part time as i lost the job in local arts centre and waiting to hear from other companys about a new job to replace the old one. put my name down to the dentist not been for years but got to wait untill 6-12 months to get an apointment
flipping heck all that wait for the dentist.
Handed in my coursework today, yay. Never want to see that again in my life. i nearly fell asleep today, we had to do meditation type thing in first lesson then i ad an assembly, which are boring at the best of times. So when i was relaxed it was kind of interesting.
My day is been one of complete kaos! Had a Clinical Skills session for most of today, which was fun. Just went through basic CPR (recaping from the last time) ABC, then we learned about types and ways to bandage patients...
Did you know that us medics are taught differently from first aiders...We are special, lol!
Then the heavens opened up on the way home, and now I'm a drowned rat :(

Had a good day today, finally half term and there was inset so i didnt have to go into college today, My mate came over and we spent most the day chattin and wayching telly.
Pretty boring day again today; same old same old. Just staying online until my mate goes off to her dance class, then it's revision time :(. Roll on tomorrow, I'm going shopping with two of my mates.
Had a good couple of days , yesterday wne to see Disney on Ice and it was amazing and i just loved it and well today was a good relaxing day since yesterday was so long.
Well I got back from london last night and i loved it! shame the journey home on the train was so long and the fact that we stayed by a trainline! but i still loved it :D we went to camden market/lock and it was really great! i just wish i could go more...
