I operate a queuing system on my book shelf. There's at least eight books waiting to be read. Once I've gotten through them it'll be time to go back to non-fiction so I'll read your book. I'll let you know when I've got it and what I think of it.

I have been to the British Museum in the summer but it was a rushed visit. The mummies exhibition was good. I think this book is going to be bumped up to #1 in the queue.
ive finished Cal so once my exams are out of the way im in need of a new book to read, my sister keeps telling me to read pride and prejudice because ive only ever seen the tv adaptions and i never did it in school
My partner got me an e-reader for Christmas and downloaded a load of free classics which I am merrily making my way through.. have read Wuthering Heights (for the millionth time), Oliver Twist, a Christmas Carol and currently in the middle of the Wizard of Oz... loads more classic to read before I start buying new ones
whats the e-reader like Siobhan?
The one I have it pretty cool.. it is not a Kindle.. it has mp3 player, photo editor and you can upload most documents including word and excel so you can work on documents anywhere. Easy to charge and upload (basically just paste what you need across).. it is call WiseReader Hanvon N518 and apparently it is the only one that allows you to edit, highlight and underline stuff (only in non epub format)
I love it
Just finished reading Dan Brown The Lost Symbol one of my faviorite writers, the Robert Langdon series is excellent
My book club started up again last night, and the first book we are going to read is Room by Emma Donoghue. It is the story of a girl kept as a prisoner for years in an adapted garden shed, she has her captors son and the story is narrated by five year old Jack. I started it this morning and it reads well - the reviews have been terrific, too.
I am also reading about the 1916 uprising in Ireland, and some Keats poems as background to an essay I have to write on the invention of tradition in Ireland.
As you know I got an e-reader for christmas.. it is really good and I did find a site with pdf books but I am wondering if anyone can recommend where I can get epub books? Is kindle epub or something different.. appreciate your help on this as the pdf site I use, although good, doesn't have a certain book I am looking for...
Failing that.. anyone know where I can get pfd or epub S.E Hinton The outsiders book?
There's a great piece of free software that I use called Calibre http://calibre-ebook.com/ which will convert ebooks to different formats. I've recently used it to convert pdfs to epub very successfully. There were some errors but I'm not sure if they were in the original pdf or not.
Kindle books are in the mobi format, and Calibre will convert to this as well.
It will also sync to your ebook reader.
It probably won't work if the books you want to convert have DRM on them though :(
Im rereading Harry Potter and the philosiphers stone! Its taking me back to my childhood!
thats what the plan is, i dont think itll be long till i finish it, theres something about the books that you dont get from the films!
Sounds interesting th eIBM book.

Despite myself I succumbed to the temptation of downloading the 50 Shades Trilogy for my kindle. I was supposed to be saving them for my holidays but I could wait to see what all the hype was about and I've read them twice  What can I say it's not a classic but it's easy on the brain, really predictable you know what's going to happen but it's not that bad.
it is really any good or just hype???
I read "Top Gear: The Alternative Highway Code"... very funny.. will keep it in my glove box for future reference
I still like the real thing. I'm into holding a book and turning pages....
Just bought second book of Discovery of Witches, the first one was so good!

I'm on the 50 Shades bandwagon. I'm not fussed on her writing, she's very repetitive with her words, but I love the story, even the filth is doing my head in now. I'm on the last book :)
Well I'm off to Gran Canaria next weekend and Mr Grey is coming with me. A girl at work is just back from holiday and she said almost every female was reading a copy of it. At least I can hide behind my kindle and pretend that I'm reading something else :D As there is a lot of hype on who would play Christian and Ana in the film. I'm hoping for Ryan Gosling and Emma Watson.
I´m not the reading-type, but my wife is currently reading the hunger games triology and "50 shades of grey".
She recommends them to everyone.
But i´m definitely not reading "50 shades of grey"!

Ah Minding Frankie is a lovely book Katy, hope you enjoy it.
I have recently finished reading the 50 Shades, was ok but all in all I have read far better books
I wasted 10 days of my life reading those 50 Shades books, I only read them cos the girl at work made me as she wanted to discuss them (and swoon over Mr Grey). By the last I I was speed reading and skipping pages!
I read 4 pages of book two (it was on amazon look inside link) and I couldn't bring myself to read anymore.. I thought it was drivel.. will not buy 50 shades. On the other hand, can't wait for Ken Follett's next book
