It's a fictional story about fictional people. Fiction is not real life. Authors of thrillers and detective novels often mislead their readers. It makes the denouement more exciting and unexpected. Do people complain to OfCom about Poirot mysteries on television or Midsomer Murders?Quote:

Yes, that's true, Dazzle. Like I said on the Current Episodes thread - by the time Bobby was revealed as the killer, it had been plastered all over Social Media and, as I said, it wouldn't have come as any surprise at all to people who frequent places like Facebook and Twitter.

The BBC could only be accused of fixing the odds if senior executives and others in the know betted heavily on the outcome themselves. If people are stupid enough to bet on the outcome of a fictional story that's their problem.
Bets are real though. People were allowed to bet and were given the list of suspects.Quote:
