Emmerdale star Dominic Power has admitted that he is feeling "numb" over next Wednesday's live episode.
The Cameron Murray actor will play a central role in the rural soap's 40th anniversary week as his character's love triangle with Chas and Debbie unravels.
Power told Soaplife: "Every time I hear that four-letter word 'live' I get a sort of numb sensation in my left arm and I think I'm about to have a bit of a clutcher."
However, he added more positively: "I think it'll be a good challenge. There's a real buzz, a real adrenaline to the atmosphere and I'm hoping that's what carries me through."
Of Cameron's change of personality since arriving in March last year, Power added: "It helps that Cameron was so charming and now he's become so duplicitous.
"I think what Cameron is good at doing is being your worst nightmare, but with a twinkle in his eye."
Emmerdale Live airs next Wednesday (October 17) between 7pm and 8pm on ITV1.

Emmerdale star Fiona Wade has said that the soap's cast aren't worrying about rain on the night of the soap's upcoming live episode.
The ITV1 show goes live for its 40th anniversary next Wednesday (October 17), but cast members will be at the mercy of the weather as the hour-long broadcast is being shot on-location at the programme's village base.
Wade, who plays Priya Sharma, today (October 11) told The Alan Titchmarsh Show that Emmerdale stars won't mind getting rained on if everything else runs smoothly.
She commented: "It might rain. But I arrived last night for one of my first days of rehearsals and I couldn't believe how many people were there. With the amount of work that has to go into this and the preparation, I think that would be maybe the least of our worries if it rains!
"That would be alright - at least we won't be making any mistakes."
Appearing on the chatshow with co-star Chris Chittell, Wade confirmed that their characters Priya Sharma and Eric Pollard will only have small roles to play on the night.
Wade explained: "We're kind of excited but we don't have all the responsibility of it. But it's a team effort and we're all feeling it together."
Earlier this week, Emmerdale's series producer Stuart Blackburn admitted that he is "dreading" the prospect of strong winds on the night of the live special, but he said that "lots of rain" would not pose a problem.
Emmerdale Live airs on Wednesday, October 17 at 7pm on ITV1.
