INT: JENKINS MANOR- Day

Tanya: What?!

Hilary: He's an Ashworth, Tanya. He's been lying to you since he met you.

Tanya: Is this true!?

Will: I'm sorry...

Tanya: But... why?! How could you do this to me?!

Will: I just wanted you to get to know the real me. Without the money, and the family. If you knew who i was before now, you wouldn't have wanted anything to do with me, would you?

Tanya: But..

Will: I love you Tanya, i just wanted you to get to know who i really am, before judging me..

Tanya: Would you have ever told me, though?

Will: Of course i would have done. I'm sorry...

Tanya looks at Hilary in disgust, and then turns back to Will. She kisses him...

INT: BACHELOR'S HOUSE- Evening

Roxy knocks at the door, Romeo opens it and lets her in..

Roxy: Hi...

Romeo doesn't say anything..

Roxy: I'm sorry for reacting the way i did to all that. I just... i'm not a slut, Romeo. I dont sleep with people i've only just met, and i thought you would understand that. When the times right, we will. Just not straight away..

Romeo: I know..

Roxy: Ijust dont want us getting ahead of ourselves, you know? We're good together, but i just think we need to take things slow. Otherwise we'll lose what we've got... our spark...

Romeo: I understand, and i agree.

Roxy kisses him...

Romeo: Want to have a look at the lights?

Roxy: Sure

Romeo and Roxy leave the house, snuggled into each other. Chris walks in from the kitchen with a bottle of wine, and sits down and drinks it alone..

INT. ANDREWS HOUSE - MORNING

James and Val enter the house, Val lookign weak, James carries her bag of clothes and helps her into the living room.

The room is decorated for Christmas, Val sees the tree and decorations.

Val: Oh the deccies are up!

James: Yeah, I wanted to suprise you for when you got back...

Val: Well you certainly have...

James: I wanted to make a real family Christmas, boost your spirits a bit...

Val: How can it be? Claire isn't here... besides I've got a long battle ahead yet, what with the after treatment and all that...

James sits down beside Val and holds her hand.

James: I'm here for you every step of the way Val, we are gonna get trough this, and you will be here next Christmas, the Christmas after that and the one after that... you're young...you're beautiful and I'm gonna make sure you're here for another 50 years!

James kisses Val tenderly and holds her in his arms as she gives a weak smile...

go on Tanya.. show Hilary you don't give a damn :cheer::cheer::cheer:

INT. LORRAINE'S APARTMENT - NIGHT

Val walks into her apartment and slams the door shut behind her. Her apartment is stylish and minamilisitc. She is on the phone to a police detective.

Lorraine: Honestly!? What the hell are you paid for! Well thanks to you a considerable amount of Charlie will be on the streets this Christmas! And when the doped up kids are ODing in A & E, have that on your bloody conscience!

Lorraine hangs up the phone and throws it against the wall in rage. She throws her coat and bag on the sofa and susicpiously shuts the blinds.

She unlocks a door and walks into a room. She closes the door behind her and switches on the lights.

Dim red lights light up the room, with polarioids of James all over the walls. Objects such as ties, socks, and wallet are layed out on a table. Lorraine stares at the photos on the wall, a look of rage on her face.

Lorraine: We might be over...but not for long darling... we will be together for ever!

Lorraine rips off her blouse and begins to passionatley kiss one of the polariods on the wall, she begins to make crazy sex noises. She then pulls away from the wall panting heavily, a crazy sinister look on her face.

:eek::eek: Lorraine is a mad possessed stalker!!!!!

Uh oh James!! Be very afraid!!!

Get on Tanya!! :cheer: I hope Will is telling the truth about his reasons for hiding his identity - I think he probably is. If you found out that you were going out with your fathers arch enemy's son, things would probably be different, so lets hope hes honourable. So far he hasn't given up the tape though, so it looks good to me

INT: HONEYSUCKLE COTTAGE- Day

Michelle is on the phone, to an old friend...

Michelle: I know, its been a long time, hasn't it!? We should meet up again, at some point...

Michelle walks over to the sofa, and sits down...

Michelle: Maybe go for a drink or something?

The doorbell rings, she begins to stand up...

Michelle: Sorry hun, but i've got to go, someones at the door.... ok, speak soon, bye!

Michelle hangs up, and puts the phone on the table. She walks over to the door, and opens it, tentively...

Michelle: Hello?

No one is there, she closes the door, and breaths a sigh of releif. She walks away from the door, when it rings again. She turns around quickly, and stares at the door. Eventually, she opens it again. Once again, no one is there. The window smashes, making Michelle jump. She walks nervously into the livng room, when she is grabbed from behind. Someone puts their hand over her mouth, from the shadows. She struggles...

Callum: Surprise, Surprise! I'm back, babe! :cool:

INT: BELLAMY HOUSE- Day

Jared is in Will room. He opens his cupboard, and sieves through some boxes. He suddenly smiles...

Jared: Gotcha..

Jared stands up, holding a tape. He puts it in the machine, and plays it. It clearly shows Hilary's revelation. Jared turns it off, and picks up the phone..

Jared: Hilary? Guess what i've just found in a certain son's cupboard! :p

The shot flicks between Bellamy House, and Jenkins Manor..

Hilary: You havent!?

Jared: I sure have. I've got it, so theres no need to worry about that little problem any more! I'll destroy it in a moment...

INTERCUT:

INT: JENKINS MANOR- Day

The shot stays on Hilary. She smiles..

Hilary: Thanks Jared. That means a lot.

Will and Tanya walk into the room..

Hilary: Jared, i'm going to have to go. Thanks again, bye.

Hilary hangs up, and looks at Will and Tanya..

Hilary: Well, this is very confrontational! Anyone would think i'd done something wrong....

Tanya: Of course youve done something blooming wrong! Its in your make up, isn't it? Worked into your mind... like you can't function like any other human being...

Hilary: Oh now, come on. Give me some credit!

Will: The irony is, that it hasn't worked, has it? You tried to split us up, and it didn't work. You try and find that tape, and it hasn't worked. Isn't life just the pits, sometimes!

Tanya: And now theres two of us fighting this war. Two of us to prove what a murderous bitch you are! You're not going to get away with this, you mark my words.

Hilary: Thats right, is it?

Tanya: Of course it is. You need to face that fact, hunny, because nothing is going to stop me. You have no control over me (Looks at Will) Over either of us.

Hilary: Thing is... you've got a little problem in your plans...

Will: Oh yeah? Trying to bluff your way out of this, like you do out of everything else?!

Hilary: But theres no need to bluff out of this one, is there? Fact it, that precious tape of yours.... isn't anymore! Your evidence has been found, and Jared is burning it as we speak! So thing is... how can you prove what i've done now?!

Tanya looks at Will in disbelief

Hilary: Face it, kids. You can't prove anything. So give up, because i've already won!

EXT. BAYMOORE ALLEYWAY - NIGHT

Natasha is walking home alone, crying after the argument in the Red Rum. She whipes the wet mascara from her face and continues walking down the alleyway.

A dark figure, dressed in black suddenly appears down the alleway. He advances towards Natasha, who is totally oblivious of anyone behind her.

Natasha suddenly looks behind her, she sees the figure and begins to scream. He covers her mouth and drags her away kicking and screaming.

She does a karate move on him, he falls to the floor, as she runs off he grabs her leg and pulls her down to the ground. The pair tussle in the alleway, Natasha panting heavily, trying to escape. She pulls off the man's baliclava.

The camera cuts to see Natahsa's reaction at who the rapist is...

Natasha: Oh my god! It's you!...

INT. EXETER AIRPORT - NIGHT

A choir of carol singers are singing Silent Night. The aiprort is busy, with passengers waiting to depart.

Silent night, holy night
All is calm, all is bright

A woman walks trough the busy crowds of passengers. We see her from the back, at a distance. She is struggling with her luggage.

Round yon Virgin Mother and Child
Holy Infant so tender and mild

Closer up, the camera pans from her suitcase on wheels up her body, we see a blonde woman dressed in casual clothes.

Sleep in heavenly peace
Sleep in heavenly peace

The woman walks out of the airport and towards the taxi rank. The snow is falling, she pulls up her hood. The camera cuts to show Claire Andrews, her suitcase in one hand, and her baby boy in the other.

Claire: Come On Nathan, It's time for you to go and see your dadda...

What will Callumn do to Michelle?

What will pycho Lorraine do to get James back?

They've lost the battle but will Tanya and Will loose the war?

Claire's back...but whose the daddy?

Thank you to everyone who has read Devon Seas this year, I hope you've enjoyed it. Devon Seas will be back on January 1st for another year of shocks/suprises and sensational storylines!

INT. ANDREWS HOUSE – NIGHT

Christmas Eve. Val and Emma are sat on the sofa watching Deal Or No Deal. James walks into the room, an apron on him, looking flustered.

James: Front or back passage?

Val: I beg your pardon?

James: For the turkey stuffing, the neck or the backside…

Val: Oh I usually stick it up the bum :p

Val and Emma go into hysterics. James rubs his hands trough his hair in stress and returns to the kitchen.

Emma: How did you manage to make him do that?

Val: Do what hun?

Emma: Cooking the Christmas Dinner…He’s never cooked a meal in his life…well not for as long as I can remember

Val: I just think he wants to pull his weight, make it a Christmas to remember… but hey if it means I can sit on the sofa Christmas eve with a cup of tea and Noel Edmonds then you wont see me complaining.

Emma smiles and returns focusing her attentions at the TV. Val looks at her, feeling guilty for not telling her the truth about her cancer. Keys can be heard opening the front door. James walks in from the kitchen, the three of them look confused.

James: Who on earth…?

Val: Claire!? Claire is that you!?

Claire enters the room with a confident smile on her face.

Claire: Hiya! Merry Christmas!

James hugs her, Emma and Val face her, and everyone’s pleased to see her back.

Val: I can’t believe it! You’re back!

James: Why didn’t you say you were coming!?

Claire: I wanted to surprise you…

All of a sudden the sound of Nathan crying in the hallway can be heard. Val, James and Emma look at Claire in confusion.

Claire: And it looks like that’s exactly what I’m gonna do…

Yay Devon Seas is back! I wonder how Val, James and Emma will react to Claire's baby!

EXT. BAYMOORE ALLEYWAY - NIGHT

The attacker punches her in the face, she is knock out, her head falling to the floor. He violently thumps her head two more times. As he gets up his heavy breathing can be heard. He deals one final kick to her head before running off. Leaving her alone, fighting her for life…

Glad Claire's back, but we still don't know who the attacker is!!! Come on Bry, tell us!!!!! *gets on bended knee*

Edit: I hope she's ok!! Has our rapist turned into a murderer??!!

INT. ANDREWS HOUSE - NIGHT

James: What on Earth!?

Claire re-enters the room, having removed Nathan from his baby carrier. James and Emma look totally shocked.

Claire: Mom...Dad...meet your grandson...Nathan...

James: I do not believe this!

Emma: A baby!? I never even knew you were pregnant!

James: Nor did any of us! What the hell did you think you were playing at Claire telling none of us about this!?

Val remains quiet, fully aware of the baby.

Claire: I needed to get my head around the pregnancy myself!

James: And do you know whose baby it is!?

Claire: Of course I do!... It's Romeo's...

The look on Claire's face seems to show some uncertainty.

James: Of all the days to spring this on us! Christmas Eve!

Claire: I'm sorry! I thought you might have wanted your daughter and grandson back for Christmas!

James turns away from Claire, to restrain himself. He seems Val looking awkward. He puts two and two together.

James: You knew about this didn't you!?

Claire: Dad...

James: Did she know about this!? About you...and the baby!?

Val: YES! Yes I did!

James: And you didn't see fit to tell me!?

Val: It wasn't my place to say!

James: I'm her father! I had a right to know!

Claire: Look! All that matters is I'm here...with Nathan... nothing can change that... so get used to it...you're now a grandad...

James bites his lip, clealry annoyed at his daughter's deceit.

Emma: So much for "a Christmas to remember" :rolleyes:

EXT. BAYMOORE ALLEYWAY - NIGHT

Ruby and Sanjita are walking back from the Red Rum.

Ruby: I can't believe Natasha made a fool of herself like that...

Sanjita: She might be your friend but she deserved it...

Ruby: For christ sake mom it was one mistake with Patrick! We've all made mistakes, me dont deserve to be vilifed for it...

Sanjita: Well she's doing herself no favours, acting the way she is...

As the pair enter the alleyway they see someone lying on the floor.

Ruby: Oh god! Who is it!?

Ruby runs towards Natasha. Sanjita stands on the spot, horiffied - as if reliving the nightmare.

Sanjita: No...no...not again...

Ruby gets down on her knees and turns Natahsa's had over, she sees who it is and screams in shock, blood gushing from her head.

Ruby: Mom! It's Natasha!

Sanjita is stood on the spot, shaking with nerves, unable to move.

Ruby: Mom! Help!

Marcus runs over towards the scene, and sees Sanjita standing on the spot, and Ruby screaming.

Marcus: What's going on!?

Ruby: it's Nastasha, she's been attacked! She's bleeding...call an ambulance! Now!

Ruby holds Natasha in her arms, worried that she wont pull trough...

Why can't James be happy Claire has come back. He's got a grandson, be happy instead of angry! Perhaps your reaction being this is exactly the reason she didn't tell you in the first place?!

I hope Natasha is ok!

Oh no, poor Natasha! :( I hope she pulls through, so she can reveal who the Baymoore rapist is! But with head injuries like that, if she did pull through...would she remember anything?!

INT. JENKINS MANOR - DAY

Christmas Day. Traditional Christmas carols are playing on the radio. Hilary, Tanya and Nick are sat at the dinner table eating a large Christmas feast. Richard returns to the table, having been on the phone.

Hilary: Any luck?

Richard: No.. she isn't reply... I hope everything's ok...

Nick: I'm sure Michelle will be up in a bit, just sit down and enjoy your meal...

Richard takes a seat. The family begin eating their Christmas meal. There is an evident hatred between Tanya and Hilary as they cast each other evil looks and cut away at their meat in fury.

Richard: Ok what's the deal with you two?

Tanya: As if you didn't know...:rolleyes:

Hilary: I have no idea Richard... but it's really starting to bug me...

Richard: Look! the pair of you! Can't you just bury the hatchet!?

Tanya: No way!

Richard: It's a time for forgiving... please... make it up...for me?

Hilary puts down her cutlery, unable to eat her meal, she pushes the plate away.

Nick: Mom?

Hilary: I'm sorry but I can't eat...not with her giving me daggered looks...Richard you need to know the truth...

Richard: The truth?

Hilary: About Tanya, and her new gentleman friend... she's been lying to you...

INT. HONEYSUCKLE COTTAGE - NIGHT

Callum: Surprise, Surprise! I'm back, babe!

Michelle starts to scream.

Michelle: Help! Help!

Callumn puts his hand over her mouth, muffling out her cries for help.

Callumn: There's no point screaming 'Shell, there's no body about, I've checked...

Michelle begins to sob, realising she is trapped.

Callumn: Whether you like it or not, I'm back in your life...

Callumn gives Michelle a sinister look, Michelle is terrified.

Michelle's violent ex husband who has appeared in Baymoore hoping to savlage their troubled marraige. Callumn is a passionate man who often lets his emotions get the better of him. When fuelled with alchol Criag can be a jealous and extremley agressive man, having terrorised Michelle and her mom Kate for years.

So now Hilary is going to drive that wedge between Tanya and Richard by telling him about her going out with Will Ashworth, and revealing his true identity! What a cow!

Poor Michelle - tries to escape from her violent past and he catches up with her! Can any of the Baymoore residents help her this time maybe?!

Uh-oh! Hilary's gonna reveal all, and over Christmas dinner as well!! :eek: She could have left it for a better time...

Someone better get to Michelle in time before she gets hurt! I'm not liking this Callum character..

ooohh!!! Welcome back DS.. What a start to the new year!!!! I hope James doesn't stay to mad at Claire and Val.. he is a granddad now!!

INT. BELLAMY HOUSE - DAY

Jared and Will are sat in the living room, having a sherry after finishing their Christmas meal.

Will: The queen's speech should be on it a bit dad...

Jared: I couldn't care in the slighest...

Will: But it's family tradition

Jared: Stuff with tradition!

Will: Look what's up dad, you've been off with me all week...

Jared: One word...Tanya...

Will: Oh for heavens sake dad, not you aswell! It's bad another Richard putting his veto on our relationship, I never for one second thought you'd be so narrow minded to condemn us!

Jared: I've always supported the decisons you made... treated you like an adult, but a Taylor!? Honestly William, how could you be so bloody stupid!

Will: It's only a name!

Jared: Her father ruined this family Will!

Will: She's nothing like Richard or the rest of the Taylors!

Jared: When it comes to the crunch, children follow after their parents more than you would imagine...

Will: Look dad I really don't care about you and Richard's age old feud... she is the woman I love and regardless of what you say or do, I will remain engadged to her!

Jared: More fool you!

Will: I don't have to put up with this!

Will storms out of the room, barging past Lauren who has just entered the room. Lauren asses the scene and looks concerned for her brother...

INT. HONEYSUCKLE COTTAGE - DAY

Michelle is now seated on the sofa, shaking with nerves. Callumn paces the room, clearly intimidating her.

Michelle: (Weakly) How did you find out where I was?

Callumn: Kate told me...

Michelle: Mom!? What have you done to her!?

Callumn: I haven't done anything to her... I wouldn't harm her...or you...not anymore... I can assure you I'm no longer a violent man...

Michelle: Oh yeah, and smashing windows and pinning me against walls is your idea of peace and harmony then!?

Callumn: That was just!.... Emotions!.... I thought I'd lost you 'Shell! When you left me I was heartbroken! I felt like my heart had been torn out... I'm sorry for everything I've done to you... I love you...and I need you 'Shell!

Callumn sits down beside her, grabs her arms and stares into her eyes.

Callumn: I want us to give our marriage a serious go... that's why I've come to Devon...

Oh Callumn sounds like a very very nasty piece of work (as an aside, excellent charater choice BB...)

INT. JENKINS MANOR - DAY

Hilary: About Tanya, and her new gentleman friend... she's been lying to you...

Richard: What do you mean (confused) Tanya?

Tanya: (To Hilary) You wouldn't dare tell him...

Hilary: (Smugly) "Joe" is actually called Will... Will Ashworth...

Tanya: I don't believe you! You had no right!

Hilary: He'd have found out eventually, besides he has a right to know when his daughter is dating the son of his enemy!

Richard: Will the pair of you shut up!

Hilary: But...

Richard: Shut up! Enough of this petty bickering between you both!

Tanya whipes her mouth with a napkin, casting Hilary a smug grin from across the dinner table, thinking she has won. Richard turns to face her, and explodes with rage.

Richard: And you... you stupid little girl! What the hell do you think you're doing getting with the son of Jared Ashworth!

Tanya: (Sarcastic) Oh he's your buisness rival, heaven forbid, it hardly makes him and his family demonic...

Richard: It runs a lot deeper than that! Jared has some petty vendetta going on and I don't want you caught up in the cross fire!

Tanya: Whatever you too are at war about, it doesn't involve me or Will... you can fight all you want but I'll be damned if it ruins our relationship!

Tanya gets up and storms out of the dining room. Hilary has a smug grin on her face.

Hilary: More Turkey anyone? :D

INT. ANDREWS HOUSE - MORNING

Val and Claire are sitting at the kitchen table. The stuffed turkey is on the side, ready to go into the oven.

Claire: Not quite the Christmas you and dad were expecting then? :rolleyes:

Val: There's nothing I wanted more than you back here at Christmas babe...

Claire: I don't think dad shares you degree of hapines...

Val: Oh he's just shocked hun... he wasn't expecting you come back with a baby...

Claire: I really should have told him...

Val: Don't go tearing yourself up over it Claire...at the time you didn't know what you were going to do...whether you were going to keep it... or who the father was...'

Claire: It's a big enough mess as it is, I could have done with his support...

Val: And he will give it to you, just give him time...you're back now, with your family, that's the right decision.

Claire takes a sip of her cup of tea, and rubs her hand trough her hair with stress.

Claire: But now I'm back, I've got to face the music, I can't hide the fact that I've got a baby from Chris and Romeo for long...what am I going to do mom!?

Val: All I can tell you hun is that you have to follow your heart...make the decison that will make you and Nathan happy...

Val holds Claire's hand tightly and gives her a supportive smile.

INT: HONEYSUCKLE COTTAGE- Day

Michelle stands up quickly, and backs away from Callumn. He follows her, menacingly..

Callumn: I've kicked the booze. It was screwing my mind up, i didn't know what i was doing...

Michelle: You can't blame the booze for the violence, that was all you...

Callumn: I didn't know what i was doing. You mean the world to me, Mich;

Michelle is backed against the wall. Callumn stands over her, and runs his fingers through her hair,

Callumn: Without you, i'm nothing. I think we should have a fresh start, give our marriage another go... What do you think?

INT: BACHELORS HOUSE- Day

Claire walks up to the House, and knocks on the door. Chris opens the door, with a shocked look on his face...

Chris: Its you!!

Claire: Sure looks like it, doesn't it!

Chris: Are you... ok?

Claire: Yep. Thats it with the formalities i hope?

Chris nods and looks down

Claire: Whats wrong? I thought you'd be pleased to see me, not so distant like this...

Chris: Its just...

Claire: I mean, come on, you've not even invited me in! You were up for it last time i was here, whats different now?!

Claire pushed past him, and walks into the house

Claire: So come on, some answers would be good!

Chris: Its just... things have changed, Claire. They're developed, and moved on...

Claire: Things? What things?

Romeo walks down the stairs, and is shocked to see Claire

uh oh!! she doesn't know about Roxy yet and is the baby really his???

I like Callum what a great new charecter and what a way to start 2007.
