Leaving :(

I was going to post about Ryan/Toadie leaving Neighbours earlier on today, Sydney time, after the Neighbours official X site uploaded the video of Ryan announcing it, but apparently the video was then deleted/taken down again shortly afterwards (not sure if it is back up again now). This led to speculation all day in Aust as to whether it was indeed correct. However, most news outlets have now started confirming it later this afternoon.

Ryan Moloney to leave Neighbours
After three decades as Jarrod ?Toadfish? Rebecchi, Ryan Moloney will leave Ramsay Street -but moves behind the camera.

Ryan Moloney will farewell Neighbours later this year after some 30 years with the long running soap -but will move behind the scene to pursue directing ambitions.
First gracing our screens in 1995, Jarrod ?Toadfish? Rebecchi, he has become synonymous with the soap in Australia, the UK and in multiple territories.
?After 30 years playing Toadie, I will be leaving Ramsay Street,? he said. ?I can?t tell you what is happening to the character ? maybe I could be the next Jim Robinson. Or maybe I?ll be the next Harold Bishop and keep popping back over the years. And although I won?t be bringing you our fantastic storylines from in front of the camera, I will be bringing them to you from the other side, behind the camera. I?ve just started director training and have just finished filming my first episode as director ? so I really hope that you enjoy that.
?Thank you all for the love that you have shown me and Toadie over the years. Three decades, in fact. I?ll miss you, I?ll miss him, and I?ll miss Erinsborough? but whatever you do, make sure you don?t miss what?s going to happen on Ramsay Street.?
Executive Producer, Jason Herbison said: ?Toadie is an Australian television icon and Ryan is Ramsay Street royalty. The street won?t be the same without seeing him every week, however there?s every chance he will pop back in the future.
?In the meantime, we?re thrilled to support his directing ambitions and can?t wait for viewers to see how Toadie?s season-long story arc plays out. Ryan?s been instrumental in the journey and has blown us away with his performance.?

Neighbours spoilers follow.
Neighbours has offered the first potential hints to Toadie Rebecchi's exit storyline.
The legendary character is bowing out from the soap later this year, with actor Ryan Moloney opting to pursue a new career behind the camera.
New spoilers and pictures have now offered a glimpse of what lies ahead for Toadie over the coming weeks.
Toadie has spent the past few weeks getting back on an even keel following his cheating scandal with his ex-wife Melanie Pearson.
The Ramsay Street lawyer has fought to save his marriage to Terese Willis and things have seemed to be going well again ? until now.
A new episode spoiler for Monday, July 22 reads: "Toadie struggles to move on from the past."
Another, for Thursday, July 25, adds: "Toadie continues to feel off-kilter."
Meanwhile, spoiler images from these episodes show Toadie pay an emotional visit to the nursery that was once owned by his late wife Sonya.
Toadie looks set to have a heart-to-heart with father figure Karl Kennedy, but will he be so honest with Terese about how he's feeling?
Ryan announced his departure from Neighbours last week after playing Toadie since 1995.
In a statement, he explained: "After 30 years playing Toadie, I will be leaving Ramsay Street. I can't tell you what is happening to the character - maybe I could be the next Jim Robinson. Or maybe I'll be the next Harold Bishop and keep popping back over the years.
"And although I won't be bringing you our fantastic storylines from in front of the camera, I will be bringing them to you from the other side, behind the camera. I've just started director training and have just finished filming my first episode as director - so I really hope that you enjoy that."
Neighbours' executive producer Jason Herbison added: "Toadie is an Australian television icon and Ryan is Ramsay Street royalty. The street won't be the same without seeing him every week however there's every chance he will pop back in the future.
"In the meantime, we're thrilled to support his directing ambitions and can't wait for viewers to see how Toadie's season-long story arc plays out. Ryan's been instrumental in the journey and has blown us away with his performance."
Neighbours releases new episodes from Mondays to Thursdays for free on Amazon Freevee in the UK and US. In Australia, the show airs from Mondays to Thursdays at 4pm on Channel 10, with a 6.30pm repeat screening on 10 Peach Comedy.
Ryan Moloney ( Jarrod 'Toadfish' Rebecchi) On BBC Breakfast:

In the leadup to Ryan Moloney's final episodes as Toadie, Neighbours has announced a special "Death in the Outback" week of episodes, starting on Monday 19th August. The story will involve characters Holly, Toadie, Melanie, Haz and Mackenzie, as they head 'Outback' to the Aussie bush - and 'one of them won't return!'
New character, Heath Royce, who returns with Tess Carmichael later in July, & will be Holly's 'secret love interest', will also be involved.
Hopefully this link will work. If not, it is a behind the scenes picture of Ryan Moloney filming on-location in early April, out in the bush with a guy named 'Stewy the Snake Catcher' (& his van). Will this be Toadie's demise/how he leaves?

Obviously thats how he dies. Gets bitten by a snake? Saving someone and gets bitten?
Unless Holly's love interest dies.
Would be good if they went the orphan route with Nell and Hugo
does toadie get with mel again, as why them no terese in the outback?
CALLUM having a medical emergency is by far the better SL for TOADIEs exit & he leaves the kids with TERESE for now. Depending on SLs writers can see whether kids keep staying or are sent to the US. TOADIE dying is just plain dumb given what happened with SONYA.
