My friend wh writes the episode guides just posted this rather good analysis of the Darlene/Justin relationship so I thought I'd nick it and post it here...

Depending on who or what he wants Justin either does the teary nobody loves me look or he uses his masculinity and sexuality. He does both with Becca and Darlene which I find interesting.

He uses masculinity through aggression with the likes of Richard, Liz and Macki. Sexuality without knowing it through certain looks and touching/hand holding amongst some of the females like Becca, Nicole and Darlene. He also uses the tears/little boy approch with Becca, the twins, sometimes Liz and Darlene.

It is interesting that he has slowly changed his approch to Darlene. At first he used aggression by pushing her through the window but that made her hate him so he cried a lot around her and she softened towards him. Then after Ali's death she seemed less responsive to the crying approch so he has now (without knowing it - I think) started to use his sexuality quite a bit when he is with her. He touches her a lot and does a lot of eye contact with her. Suprisingly she seems to respond to this more than all his other approches. I say watch this space...
