If Kylie Platt's death on Coronation Street wasn't heartbreaking enough already, now we also have to cope with the fact that her funeral will go ahead without the presence of big sister Becky.
Katherine Kelly, who played Becky McDonald on the soap for six years before leaving in 2012, dropped the bombshell on fans on Sunday evening (July 17), revealing that she's tied up with Doctor Who's spin off series Class.

Paula Lane's character Kylie was killed off in a tragic turn of events in Friday's (July 15) episode of the soap, which saw Kylie get stabbed following a fatal run-in with Callum Logan's dangerous mate Clayton.
The circumstance of Kylie's death were kept secret until the episode aired, but the aftermath will now see David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) determined to get revenge on those he holds responsible for Kylie's demise.
Meanwhile, Kelly will next be seen as Miss Quill in Class, which will debut on BBC Three later this year, before a terrestrial airing on BBC One.

Its always the case at funerals with soaps that key people do not turn up.
