Emmerdale star Natalie J Robb has promised that there is more drama to come for Moira Dingle's marriage to Cain.
Moira faced a backlash in last night's dramatic episodes (June 26) as the truth about her secret romantic history with former brother-in-law James was finally exposed.
Cain initially remained strangely calm as the Bartons were torn apart by the revelation. However, his relationship with Moira will come under severe strain over the coming days as everyone is rocked by the second bombshell that Adam is James's son.
Speaking on ITV's Lorraine about Cain's reaction, Robb explained today: "He's in shock, really, but it's a ticking bomb, I think, with Cain. He's the mysterious calm man - that's why the women love him."
Asked whether the Moira and Cain romance will have more twists, she replied: "I think there'll be plenty - I think there'll be plenty to come, don't you worry about that!"
Emmerdale airs another double bill of episodes tonight (June 27), focusing on Adam's extreme reaction to his life-changing news. Seemingly with a dark plan in mind, the young farmer disappears into the woods in pursuit of James with a shotgun.
Robb explained: "He's absolutely devastated. His world is falling apart. I'm not who he thought he was, his father is his uncle and he doesn't actually really like him that much. He's absolutely devastated and his reaction isn't going to be very good.
"There's a shotgun involved and he goes missing. I'm worried sick and then Cain goes after him. I don't know what's going on - I can't find him and it's whether he'll get to him in time or not."
Rob added that she enjoyed playing the intense scenes with co-stars Jeff Hordley and Adam Thomas.
"We have a great bond all of us - Jeff who plays Cain and Adam who plays my son," she said. "When we're doing emotional stuff it felt quite real, really. When it gets to three weeks of crying, that's when it gets tough!"
Emmerdale airs tonight (June 27) at 7pm and 8pm on ITV.
