Emmerdale - Current Episode Discussion - III

In normal situation, I would think that police wouldn't care about suicide note. Not every person ending their life leave a note to their loved ones. And Emma was in a hurry and behaving quite impulsively. This 'no suicide note' is just to give police a reason to investigate, but it's so unrealistic that it's stupid.
They better find that note and if someone is sent down for anything, please just let it be Pete. He's a killer of the brothers anyway.Ross still has heart.He's been very sweet with organising Finn's funeral. I have always liked him, and he's nice looking chap too ;)

In the closing scenes looked like Pete watching Ross burning Emma's property.

Best part of the one and a half hour episode was Pollard. His scenes in the Church were very moving. A class act.

I do like Gerry. He makes me smile.

I didn't think the funeral was good at all. They should have given Finn a beautiful send off with no interruptions, and everyone in the church. Far too many people missing..no Marlon, Paddy, Pearl, Rhona...David..to name the few..not to mention the ones who just were not bothered to go for one reason or the other. Why weren't Sharmas there, or Lisa and Zak..? And no Laurel?!
In the wake at home the coffin was closed..Why?
Superhero theme was great, but too many stupid things happened in the middle of the whole funeral. What sort of police interrupts funeral for homesearch?

I hate if Ross is nailed for this and Adam with that nasty piece of a brother(meaning Pete) are left to walk around as totally innocent.
Would Gabby have the note..or that mystery man...There was some strange man with beard sitting in the pub near Ross at the counter..looked like him watching Ross in the end.

I still don't get this sudden investigation on Emma's death as there was no suicide note? James didn't write any note either, and there was definitely injuries on his body from everything that Emma had done to him, including bumped him with all sorts of medication. No, he was just depressed. Good enough. Investigations seem to be launched only when it suits the writers.. I really hate watching my favourite soap going downhill fast since Ashley left definitely. Actors don't seem to like hanging around and taking loads of time off all the time..sadly it shows.

What's up with Nicola, why is she concerned with who bumped off Emma. She knows what Emma did to her friend Laurel and Ashley, it shouldn't matter who got rid of her.

Yes, forgot Nicola from my list. They've made her thoroughly nasty these days. Used to like her and Jimmy, and now she's just awful bitch.

There was an investigation for James. Not thorough enough though.

Measuring by head of population Emmerdale must be leading Eastenders in the number of murders and attempted murders.

I agree that the funeral was disappointing and the arrival of the police just spoiled everything. I don't think they would interrupt a funeral like that in real life and it just felt like an excuse to let as many people as possible know that Emma's death may not have been suicide. Also, where was David? He should have been there to support Tracy.

Charity was fairly aggressive with "confused" Vanessa, lol! But they both have form, so bring it on.:wub:

I liked Harriot and the bad boy.. Moira and Cain got on my nerves.

I missed a lot this week as I was out and about for once, so are the vile one and the vet now an item? Cant see that ending well.

Don't know why the police are surprised that Emma did not leave a suicide note, after all she was running about like a demented banshee before the doing it, so was unlikely to be carrying paper and pen with her. She did leave a note in the church with the baby, but the police do not know about this, and it seems to have disappeared.
When she ran away from the barn fire she was not carrying her bag, so how did she hire a car, did she keep her credit a card and driving licence in her pocket. How could Ross find the bag near the viaduct, unless she went home to collect it when she left the baby in the church. Unless I missed something none of this makes sense.

Did Daz leave the army or did he desert and that's why he will not sign on for benefits.

I assume she drove to the farm with a car though..she wouldn't walk. But from there she ran through the woods, so the car must have been at Barton's farm...same as probably her bag at least in the car. No, it doesn't make sense. And Ross said he took her bag and phone at the viaduct afters she fell, and ran..Absolute rubbish this writing. They should keep some kind of consistency in the storylines...!

And where is that note Emma wrote? Or did Finn take it?

Finn was dead before she wrote the note, as I recall. She couldn't live with what had happened to him, so she went to the church and wrote the note as she didn't think she could explain everything to Ross and Pete face to face.

Finn appeared on the viaduct as a figment of her imagination, the same as James was when he was in the car.

Where the note is has been a matter for some debate. The longer it goes on the more I fear it's been forgotten by the producer/writers.

The only ones who would possibly want Emma's note is her sons Pete and Ross, why would anyone else take it :searchme:

i'd say police would like to read it for sure as she said she wrote down everything she's done! I was just surprised she would have had time for that..

Emma only decide to confess after hearing Finn was dead on the radio, then "James told her she had killed Finn", she then returned to the church with the baby and wrote her letter

I don't think we saw Emma with a bag while she was on the run, so I think this will remain one of 'Soap's Great Mysteries.

No Laurel back yet?! I just find it hard to believe that she wouldn't have come back straight away when Gabby called her about Emma! The actors are taking their holidays at the strangest of times.. David and Debbie(a couple as they are in real life seem to be off now as David wasn't at Finns funeral..Cáin and Rhona were away for a bit too..)

Tim's murder makes no sense. If he leaves the country, unless he has a fake passport the police will know he is still alive, because presumably they will check ports and airports when searching for him. if they then tell Lawrence, Robert's hold on him will, disappear.

Is Tom stalking Debbie to know she is back as she was not answering his calls?

Robert the scene stealer in Vanessa's storyline, make them good friends

Moira doesn't deserve any happiness, and she definitely doesn't deserve Cains love. Awful woman! What she's doing is beyond hurt and just purely cruel!
