And why would Ray give the planning chair another ?20k? She'd be in just as much, if not more, deep doo doo if the bribe ever came to light and her threat that she would say he coerced and threatened her is pretty meaningless as, if it was true, she would have reported him at the time. In any case, why is she blaming Ray about the appeal against the planning application and saying he told her there wouldn't be any objections? As planning chair, she should know that any of the parties involved could appeal - how could Ray guarantee there wouldn't be any?
why did gail and audrey fall out?
I think it could be said that Ray did not have the best of days
