Same here, we are allowed to take in our books as long as they aren't annotated, they have to be brand new.

Yep thats exactly what we have in our school, that why our teachers tell us to make notes on post it notes and then put them in our books.

Well i have had a week full of mocks..i am proud with what i've done in the exam and i hope i've done well. Just got English Language Paper 2 and French Listening and Writing to go. :D

And then i have a few proper GCSEs coming up, a science module and Geography DME exam.

I did higher for my french oral.

My french reading was quite weird though as i got a D on the higher paper, and then today i sat the foundation paper because my french teacher wanted to see how i did, but i did worse!

Now my french teacher says she is going to enter me for Higher for the reading as i did better in the Higher than the foundation despite me getting a D in the Higher and getting worse in the foundation paper!

Well that makes sense :p
Cause you need a higher mark in Foundation to get say a C or something, but in Higher you only need a low mark to get a D... does that make sense :lol:

Yeah but despite me getting better in the Higher Paper, isn't the foundation paper easier? so wouldn't i be more likely to get a C on the foundation paper than on the higher paper?

It doesn't make sense to me as i did the worst on the easier paper, but better on the harder paper. :D

Well done, Dave, I don't think I'll even get that in my final Geography exam. And as for oral, I'd be ungraded.

Not nesessarily. For one, aren't the first few questions of the Higher, the same as the last few in the Foundation? And you need less right in the Higher for a D. Than Foundation for a D. Even if they are slightly harder. So if you really think about it, it does make sense :p

Oh, and why will you be ungraded in Oral Kimbo?

'Cause I'm terrible at it, have no confidence, and people say I look like I'm going to throw up. I also speak too fast under pressure, but I can't help it. That's why I'm not taking a foreign language. Yes, the last ones on foundation are the same as the first on higher, 'cause I remember getting lost in my chemistry module. It doesn't make sense, Lea.

I did my french oral today...It went ok i supose - I think I must of pressed pause on that tape more than 20 times :rotfl:
My teacher said i got around a high B, im quite happy bout that. :D

I was the same as you to be honest. But you'd be surprised at how well you do. (Well for me it was). I spoke quiet and fast, but did fine.

and it does make sense lol. Maybe when you do loadsssssssssss of papers in YR 11, it will make more sense, as the teachers go on about it. (Or at least in my school)

Got some more results back from my mocks:

Maths- C
English Literature- A

My english literature paper got marked wrong and the teacher added up my score wrong. I got 54/70 which makes an A! :cheer: I am so happy with that and with my Maths result too!

Science - C.

Actually I got my electicity modular test results back today and I got a B and Im soooooo happy with that, I was ill on the day and went home straight after the exam and that was my worst subject

I have been entered for Higher for my module 4 French exam, and i am kind of worried because its really hard! Oh and Maths Coursework is sooooo rubbish and hard.

O we dont do that one, but we do, do a one woth lots of algebra which gets on my nerves.

I thought all coursework was finished for maths by year 11? Obviously only in my school... Oh dear, Abbie, I have no idea how I will get a decent grade in my Shakespeare coursework, because we now have this girl in the class shouting "Lentil Soup!" the whole time. :wall:
