we had so much snow! :D i dont think ive ever seen that much snow in my life! i was actually excited lol! it snowed constantly sunday and monday, it was so heavy, and im pretty certain that there must have been at least 5inches of it. we never get snow! apparently we havent had that much snow where i live for over 20yrs! its still really thick at home now even though it was really sunny yesterday and today. but in canterbury when i came back theres hardly any of it left
the thing is though, they have snow all the time so theyre prepared for it. i saw on the news cars in russia with these snow tyre things, we dont need those in this country cos we dont have snow enough, i dont think people would pay for all this stuff just for 1 day a year
i used to love it when school closed! i heard that over 1000 schools closed on monday! my dad couldnt get into work, all the trains were cancelled so he had to stay at home, only 2 people out of 25 were actually in his office on monday and they were both going to go home after only being there half hour!
I've never had school closed before. :p
Herts uni sent an email saying their open day this Saturday may be cancelled. Noo I was counting on that to help me make up my mind.
We ALWAYS have school closed. Like, almost everytime it snows.. We were sent home from school a couple of years ago because there was a really bad blizzard and it was going to get worse, and then too dangerous for us to go home. School was closed for the next two days after that :D
The only time we were sent home was when the heaters broke in primary school
The heating in our school was off today.. the one day they don't turn it on is the day we have lots of snow
They hardly ever have the heating on in school.. but we still ahve to stay in too.
School was open today but I felt minging and yucky so missed 2 lessons. It was closed yesterday though
I really hope we don't get snow tonight!

That's better :D
Looking the same here Kim. More snow has fallen here than what we seen in the area on Tuesday.
Oh well, day off school and I don't have to sit my exam today :D
OMG :D woke up to today and there is snow everywhere :p Its back :cheer:
College wont be closed! :( This is the only time I wish I went to a sixth form lol!
I must take loads of pics today
Its still snowing :p :cheer:
My old primary school has only just closed  It's only up the end of my street and up an alleyway. Our council has cancelled all school bus services, just say you couldn't get there.
Worst snow this week here and still snowing :D First time my school has been closed this week but I was off for 2 days for illness.
Im hoping lots of people cant come in college today :D
Hardly anyone turned up to school yesterday. It was a family friend's funeral yesterday but because I'd missed 2 days already I thought I better go into school. Wish I hadn't because I wouldn't have missed anything.
All bus services have been cancelled - and pretty much all schools in northamptonshire are shut.
Okay i admit it - now i actually quite like the snow because i really didn't want school today!
Same in Wiltshire. The radio people have now cottoned onto the idea that it would've been quicker to read out the list of schools still open! There's 1 bus company running 1 service that I know of and it's nowhere near here lol.
Our bus services are still running, schools closed though, and my test was cancelled :( I drove in this aswell to get there! But it was cancelled, oh well... was a good experience
OMFG, we have half a foot here and it's still snowing  Everything is white.
it has started here again but not like Monday...
its not snowing here, and all the snow in canterbury has gone completely! :( i think theres still snow back home though
All the schools round here are closed apart from the one my daughter goes too its still open....
was snowing last night and abit this morning but its all gone now :S its ment to snow here tomorrow and then on monday x
it is really picking up here now.. sever weather warning announced for the south of the city
Britain descended into wintry chaos again as snow caused hundreds more school closures and mayhem on the roads.
Airports were forced to shut runways while trains and bus services were disrupted yet again after some regions were blanketed with eight inches by blizzards.
Snow settled in south Wales, western England, the Midlands, counties to the north of London, Northern Ireland and Scotland. And with forecasters warning that the freezing blast will continue into the weekend, concerns over dwindling salt supplies were heightened.
Some councils said they were now using salt only on major routes, and Britain's biggest salt supplier, Cheshire-based Salt Union, said staff were working round the clock but still could not meet demand.
Cleveland Potash, the Highways Agency's second supplier, said it had arranged for 40,000 tonnes of salt to be imported from its sister mine in Spain to meet the increased demand. Hertfordshire County Council, one of the councils which said stocks were running low, said it was seeking additional supplies from abroad.
Tom Tobler, forecaster for MeteoGroup, the weather division of the Press Association, said snowfalls will return south over the next 24 hours. The South West - and possibly eastern areas, including London - could be hit on Friday.
In similar scenes to Monday's weather, which stopped millions getting to work, airports, railways and roads were hit hard. Luton Airport cancelled 13 flights as clearing work took place and planes were also unable to land and take off from Belfast City airport, Robin Hood International Airport, near Doncaster, and Aberdeen.
The runway at East Midlands Airport near Derby was briefly closed as staff worked to clear it, while Birmingham Airport remained open with temporary runway closures.
The railways endured a fourth successive day of disruption. Passengers were warned they faced disrupted train services in several areas, including Wales, the Midlands, the South West and Yorkshire.
The Highways Agency repeated its warnings for drivers to take extra care, particularly on the M4 and M5 in Wiltshire, where driving conditions were especially dangerous.
School was open again here. It's like the only one around here that was open today
There's still snow from Monday and it was snowing today. The main roads are clear though :(.. Meant to be LOTS of snow tonight though. That means I can't go to drama though :(
School shut today .... and is going to be shut tomorrow i am reliably informed (love having a friend on the staff!) No drama for me tonight :( And if this continues through till saturday i may not have work :|
Lets hope it clears up by next week ...... driving lessons!
Stupid snow! It would dissapear now wouldn't it!
Why couldn't it have snowed thsi evening instead of this morning :(
School was shut today, it'll be open tomorrow... the snow is virtually gone now
Aww - well that is just mean!! Geri is obvs playing snowball fights anyway!
