I have read that Corrie is axing more characters to save money. With some of the ridiculous stories, it looks like researchers were the first to go.

Billy and SEan become missonaries abroad
Chesney and his brood, move into a bigger house in the nearest city
Bethany goes back to MIlan.
Ed and Michael Bailey are critically injured in an accident
Izzie anywhere coz she is really not doing a thing
Glenda and her brother move to Spain where he can offer Funerals for ex pats, taking her with him to sing to them
Lauren can go to Ireland like she was going to, and Max with her.

So many boring characters, a radical change is needed.

Or she would have had a one night stand with Kit, so she doesn't know who the father is. That would be a completely new twist.

Such a unique idea, shows why Corrie is the top soap. Bet EE and Emmerdale wish they had thought of it first
