INT. JENKINS MANOR - DAY
Richard walks into the living room, on the phone to an old friend.
Richard: (Into Phone) We're just getting an idea of numbers at this stage Bobby, but yeah we'd love it if you, Pamela and the boys could come.... erm well we've got it planned for late July... we'll send the exact date on the invitations...
Richard walks past the coffee table that is filled with bridal magazines. Hilary's phone rings: Kanye West's "Golddigger". Richard picks up the phone and sees that Ryan is calling. He has a distressed look on his face.
Richard (Into Phone) Look George...something's just come up...I've got to go...ok...bye.
Richard puts his phone into his jakcet pocket. He takes a deep breath, clearly upset. He pulls himself together and calls up the stairs.
Richard: Hilary! Your phone is ringing!
Hilary: (O.S) I'm coming!
Richard walks off into the kitchen, however checking to see that Hilary is answereing the phone. Hilary runs into the room and picks up the phone. Richard eavesdrops on the conversation.
Hilary: Ryan darling...a pleasure as always... oh right... fantastic news!... Oh?.... Well yes I suppose we can meet later.... ok...cya you then...bye.
Hilary puts down the phone. In the next room a heartbroken Richard closes his eyes to prevent himself from crying.
