I agree 100% , completely unrealistic , I`m trying to work out who the only straight in the village is :) , have the writers never stepped outside of Brighton? :)

Kasim recovered like Paddy super fast after being at death's door :p
It's too much of a coincidence that Kasim just happens to be gay and just happens to fancy Finn, at at time when he should be recovering from his accident and surely has other things on his mind. Maybe they could have got together at a later stage but this is all too soon, and anyway, Finn is still getting over his father's death.
And I am sure people won't like me for saying this but I just don't get Ronnie and Lawrence's relationship either.

Ashley's dementia storyline is so heartbreaking...:( Very realistic, and well done so far. He's a really good actor. Poor Laurel-trying to look after everyone. Bernice is no help with Gabby!(as much as I like mad Bernice! :) )
The end of tonight's epsidoe was heart breaking, so sad. Charlotte Bellamy performance was so powerful.
This dementia storyline is very well done. Both actors are doing amazing job! So realistic..
The Ashley dementia storyline has been a real eye opener for me. Never fully appreciated the unpredictable severity that the condition can produce. Tended to think of it as more memory loss and maybe eccentric behaviour. I look forward to the episode which covers life as seen through Ashley's eyes. Top marks for once to Emmerdale and the actors involved , must be emotionally draining for them.
Great post... Ive only recently had my eyes opened to this horrible infliction too. In are relatives case they had enough money for a private 24/7 residence and they are brilliant with them. But just to only have day care and an occasional health attendant to your address.. how do people cope..Its such a vile thing, that in our relatives case they cared for the partner who got the issue till they passed only to get it them self.
Im guessing Emma over played her hand pulling the plug on the refrigerator, leaving the door open may have worked but both? Come on Ashley remember soon seeing Mad Emma on the bridge.
It's heartbreaking to think that the Ashley we all knew has gone forever, and that he will just be going downhill until the end. It's early onset dementia too, so poor Laurel, who is younger than Ashley anyway, is having to cope with this illness much earlier than most people. Plus she has a baby, a little boy and a stroppy teenage girl to cope with too.
And... Soon Moira will need Cain to help her :)
That Finn Barton is a lucky boy:-

Why? :hmm:
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Paddy being slapped :lol:
I'm amazed no-one's posted about the special episode yet. Very moving and heartbreaking at the end. I realised what was happening when Ashley got back home and all the photographs were blacked out. It's a brilliant way to help us realise how disorientated and alienated he feels, kind of like waking up in a strange town where you don't know anyone but they all know about you.
Sorry - I've just realised there's another thread for Ashley.
wonder what excuse will be made for missing alicia
Not a bad episode. A little bit of useless information, When they filmed this special it actually snowed on the day, they had brought fake snow for the scenes but didn't have to use it.
Not an amazing episode but a good script with good acting and an enjoyable watch. Would you want to eat at the Dingles? Salmonella all round. Lisa you dirty cow do some house work. What do they see in Zak????
I hope Kyle stays with Moira and Cain when Joanie leaves
I thought Ashley was going to remember something about Emma in church
When they played George Michael singing Last Christmas little did they know it would be.
sharmas shouldn't have settled with kerry she in the wrong she broke in
What has happened to Emmerdale, utter codswallop. Kerry you are a trollop and not a very funny one. And the Jimmy and Nicola stuff, old hat seen it all before, Yawn.
this kerry nonsense is crap
rishi and rodders after joanie serious lack of older singles in village for them

As soon as the Ashley and Emma storylines come out of the spotlight there's nothing else to keep the show moving. Kerry was developing into an interesting character and then this burglary rubbish and neck support shi-e altered all that.
Jimmy, another waste of space , if I hear him say " but Niclole " anymore I'll need meds. As far as Rodney goes what on earth is the point of his character? I'm at a loss to think of anything. :thumbsdow :)
why was david and leyla at the party in homefarm after all they did to alicia and val and eric
Free drink appears to buy anyone in the soaps.
I think Emmerdale up to Christmas was very good, but through Christmas and now into the New Year has been very poor.
The Joanie arrests made no sense to me, especially for Kerry, leaving little Kyle alone, but at least he has the Dingles
