I think my school will be closed. It's still snowing :D... Tomorrow I'm going out though :p
Its raining now here
I live in hope of another snow day. :p
The trains are slightly better but the second one I need to get is apparently only running every 2 hours. If it is still bad tomorrow I may just walk from the connecting stop. Shouldn't take more than 45 minutes. I'd rather not take the buses with the roads like they are!
*sets alarm early*
awww its not snowing here, well I Cant really tell, its still nice and white outside but not as thick as I would like
The snow is finally sticking here, have a good layer on the ground now and it's still snowing now... can't say I'm a fan of snow, it's nice to look at I suppose.. but don't find me rolling around in it!
I am meant to have an exam tomorrow too, but the snow means its likely my school will be closed again. My exam might still go ahead though, so I will just go in and see what happens..
What exam is it? Ooh. That reminds me - I have my English Lit. mock on Friday
what exam? a school exam? cos if its closed then how can you do the exam?
It's just a university exam to get a scholarship and an unconditional offer. There may be some teachers at my school tomorrow, even if it is closed I would imagine? or is that silly? :p lol I might just turn up and see who's around and if it can still go ahead..
Cant it be done on any other day?
Never, ever try walking in the snow/slush when you're drunk :rotfl: Really bad idea.
We actually got proper snow last night and then it all turned to slush this morning.. but back snowing again so you never know
Snow pigeon!

I WANT THE SNOW TO GO :(
Hardly anyone was in school today so i came home - which is good yes, however i hate this weather.
Most of the snow here has gone its all slush or ice. The paths are very slippery....
School was cancelled today but now it's really sunny so the snow will probably go by tomorrow.
School was cancelled here too, but I still went in and sat my exam :)
I've just seen on the news that most of the heavy snow that was predicted to fall hasn't fallen yet. I wonder if I'll ever get back to school...
Yay so glad we had snow :D :D I stayed at my mates last night. And we were atching dvds with the curtains closed as you do.. we decided to go to bed at like 1, looked outside and there was heaps of snow on the ground and loads still falling  We were like. How could we miss it? So then we decided to go out and make a snowman :p It's pretty lame, but it was dark and she has a small garden and had to be quiet :p Was fun though. Had a small snowball fight too. AH I love the snow :D. Then I just got dropped off.. she lives like 10 mins from me via car, and her village still has loads of snow on the ground.. soon as we came to my town it had all GONE!!!! I was like :crying: no fair :(.
We've had lots of snow todayy :)
Was going to go up the mountain... but that went to pot.
So I walked liek halfway up the flipping mountain, to get to my friends... I'm cold now :(
Awww ours has been melting loads :(
And college was normal :(
A GIRL of 16 died and four pals were hurt yesterday in a sledging horror in a country park.
They were thrown from the cut-off roof of a car they were using as a toboggan into a fence.
The tragedy came amid scores of accidents — and fears snow chaos could cost Britain £3.5billion this week.
Brilliant student Francesca Anobile was killed at Rother Valley Country Park, South Yorks, when she and her four girl pals hurtled through barbed wire before smashing into a wooden fence beside a river.
Francesca — known as Fran — suffered massive head injuries in the lunchtime accident.
The popular student had passed 15 GCSEs at Westfield Sports College, Sheffield.
Mum Joanne, 42, dad Donato, 49, sister Gabriella, 15, and brother Alexander, 13, of Mosborough, Sheffield, were left devastated last night.
Francesca’s friend Nikki Burns, 16, of Waterthorpe in the city, was “serious but stable” in hospital.
The other three girls were treated for minor injuries at Rotherham General Hospital.
A spokesman for Rotherham Council, which runs the park, said: “The girls got themselves a cut-off top from a Land Rover-type vehicle — but they were not able to control it.”
A police source said: “They were having fun, then this. It’s an appalling tragedy.”
Messages of goodwill were posted on Facebook by Nikki’s sister Louise, who wrote: “Worryin So Much, I Love You To Bits Nikki. Hope Ur Guna Be Ok.”
Francesca was a star pupil at Westfield College and was selected for a leadership programme.
In the college magazine last year, she said of the programme: “We have been able to meet famous sporting celebrities and have acquired skills that will help us in our future careers.”
The tragedy came on a second day of snow chaos around the country.
Patients cut off by heavy snowfalls in Devon and Cornwall were flown to hospitals in military helicopters.
Driver Sam Armstrong, 23, escaped unhurt after skidding on ice and ploughing into a home in Portsmouth.
In Cwmbran, South Wales, children hurled a brick disguised as a snowball through a gritting lorry’s window. Police are hunting 15 youths.
Around 150 flights in and out of Heathrow were cancelled.
Scores more were scrapped at Birmingham International, Gatwick, Bristol and Southampton.
Rail services into London were hit by ice.
More than 1,000 Eurostar passengers were delayed in the Channel Tunnel for three hours when their service broke down after hitting freezing weather in France.
A second train had to shunt it through the tunnel.
Thousands of businesses operated reduced services.
Stephen Alambritis, from the Federation of Small Businesses, said: “One of the world’s biggest economies should not be grinding to a halt.”
It is just starting to snow again where I live and I have to go out on the motorway to two different places :crying: I hope we get a ruddy good summer after this long, hard winter.
It is minus 7oC in Livingston, but the main roads are all clear and have been since yesterday morning. My cul de sac is covered in frozen snow and is vey slippy, but I had no problems getting to work.
Some very artistic snowmen are still standing, although the snow did melt significantly yesterday.
My kids school bus was cancelled as all the bus company buses were frozen, so I had to turn back and give them a lift into Edinburgh. My youngest son was not happy!
Beautiful sunny day!
Supposed to have snow again today :( as if Monday has not been bad enough, and now Sheffield has snow again tooo....this is not my week :crying:
all our snow is melting... it is worse, all slushy and disgusting
My driving test got cancelled because of the snow, and its not even that bad :@
Im bored of the snow now
Was your test today Layne?
It was :( The roads weren't even that bad - GUTTED, now i have to wait another month
Awww, mine's tomorrow, and I can see mine getting cancelled too.
Just think though another month to get even more confident :)
The snow is pretty much gone :( its like it was never here
Its still VERY cold though
Lots of snow - more of it forecast here  Looks like im not back in school till monday!
Got a cancellation :D Lets just hope this snow does not continue on throughout next week!!
My school was open today but there's snow coming tonight and it's started to get colder... if the snow that's already here freezes and then it snows on top of that, I doubt we'll be back in school .. Never mind :p
This is not fair my school/college has never closed cos of snow :(
:( That's mean. We really needed those days in school though.. I think we might all fail our English Lit. mock exam on Friday
I hope the snow isn't too bad over night in the south. I'm going back home for the weekend tomorrow, so if theres lots of snow the trains might be cancelled, which would be annoying.
